What does if I don't have a mic input in my PC? It's not going to work?

Hey! thanks for this video. This way that you show to record, it works to get the audio on the computer as MIDI file? no right?
I am looking to record my drum with MIDI audio to change the sound with a VST software.
    Best!

This is how I probably should do it but ideally you'd just be able to send the digital audio to a DAW on your computer rather than degrading the signal through the headphone outputs and inputs. Sadly midi doesn't work properly with the TD-9 or at least not with mine. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Can't get more than one input at the same time, timing issues. Terrible. Ty for solution. It's not really something you can produce with further but for lulz it gets the job done I guess.

I do it similar but i run the cable you run into a computer into the mic input on my camera,i'm also thinking about running it into my android phone instead but i gotta find 1 of those phone tripod thingys.

How do you add music to play along with? Is it easy as opening up RUclips on your computer and you will be able to hear it and record you playing along with it at the same time?

Why does everyone have the same problem with the USB not working on the TD-9? Will this work with Sony Sound Forge?

Just a thought why is it necessary to use a splitter and not just plug headphones into the recording device (laptop, pc etc) headphone socket if it has a separate one, mine does not (pain). I tried to turn on the mic (only one socket) and it froze the laptop, hopeless.

Will i still need a splitter for my drum module or no

    • @AndreiMataix
      @AndreiMataix  7 лет назад +1

yes, you will. you need the splitter for this very reason. The splitter sends two signals. The one sent to your headphones so that you hear it, and the second signal goes to the computer as an input of microphone. Since you don't have the microphone input, you will need that adapter.

Can't i just buy two splitters then

Nice tutorial. I got a question. When ever I bark the hi hat, I get that closing sound of the hat when I close the pedal. I know that's how it's supposed to be, but the transition from open to close doesn't sound right at all. Is there a way to solve this?

I think Jas (below's comment) was more informative than anything I would've said regarding this.

hey, can you maybe help me? ive done everything like you in the video and when i press record in the audacity there is no sound from drums? only in my headphones, but not on my laptop

    • @MD46ter

      change the mic setting

    • @AndreiMataix

Play around with the mic settings and their inputs, until you can see the two red stereo bars moving when you you play on the drums. Audacity needs to recognize the drumkit as an input microphone.

I can record the drums. The sound at he beginning is good, but there is a time when the sound becomes like its inside a box :S
