Companies in India are supplying weapons to Myanmar’s junta while Prime Minister Narendra Modi expresses concern about the political crisis in Myanmar on the international stage, observers said Monday, highlighting the two-faced nature of the strategy.
Indian arms manufacturer Bharat Electronics Limited, or BEL, transferred military equipment worth more than US$5.1 million to Myanmar’s army or known Myanmar arms brokers Alliance Engineering Consultancy and Mega Hill General Trading over a period of six months from November 2022 to April 2023, the rights group Justice for Myanmar reported in June.
The military equipment included metallic sonar domes; transducers and gaskets for the domes to be used on frigates, warships or submarines; directing gear systems; technical documents; various items for radio transmission or radar equipment; and manpack radios for battlefield communication.
Justice for Myanmar called the shipments “part of a pattern of Indian support for the Myanmar military and its domestic arms industry” and called on India’s allies to use their leverage to “pressure India to stop the supply of arms and dual use goods and technology” to the regime

Bangladesh needs to get ASEAN membership and appeal a issue to the other members, also provide security for the coastal areas in Myanmar elections. Rohingyas need to be put back from Bangladesh and Indonesia to Rakhine and need to work on the that area to develop people's live with engaging them in workforce and making them educated to have a happy family scenario so that their population couldn't vastly increased.

Sadly, your ignorance about ASEAN geography is so apparent and too shallow. Foremost, why is Bangladesh not part of ASEAN at all.? Simply because Bangladesh, for obvious reasons is situated in South Asia and is a part of an Indian sub-continent. Your hogwash claim that Bangladesh needs to get ASEAN membership is a farfetch and untenable pipe-dream to say the least. Considering that before a country can join the ASEAN, member countries must be located in South East Asia. Hope this explanation clarifies your beclouded understanding about what constitutes an ASEAN geographic hegemony amongst ASEAN member countries.

Still ASEAN is congested in 10 member state but look at their vision in 2045! Also, why i am asking for Bangladesh to be a member because Bangladesh holds the connectivity with SAARC countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, India including in the near future the fast tracked rail route is possible to connect all the countries ASEAN and SAARC countries like europe while Bangladesh could become its hub. Free trade to those is also important. So, i think you should study more about how the things works for the betterment of every countries and how it is approaching 😅. Thank you!

The conflict in Myanmar involving various ethnic and political groups does require an inclusive dialogue approach to achieve peace. ASEAN as a coordinator and moderator is the right step because it has a non-interventionist approach but still supports stability in the region.
Dialogue between warring factions, be it from the military, ethnic groups, or other political parties, is very important to achieve a sustainable peace consensus. Peace in Myanmar will not only create political stability but also provide a basis for economic development and the welfare of society as a whole.
In addition, resolving ethnic conflicts is the main key to national unity. Without resolving this problem, the desired peace will not be fully achieved because the conflicts that occur are often rooted in ethnic dissatisfaction and cultural differences and political rights.
If the dialogue you mentioned is successful, Myanmar has great potential to become a united, stable, and prosperous country, with people living in harmony without tension between ethnicities.

ASEAN’s consistent focus on development should not be swayed.
The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits are held in Vientiane, Laos, from Tuesday to Friday. As the host, Laos set the theme this year as "ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience." The theme of each annual summit often runs through the discussions and the speeches of national leaders during the series of meetings.
Certainly, there are often individual countries that attempt to involve topics with obvious geopolitical implications. For example, in an editorial published last week, Indonesia's major media The Jakarta Post warned Japan's new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba against trying to promote his idea of building an Asian NATO during the annual ASEAN summit. It argued that Ishiba's idea would be "considered very offensive" to ASEAN and only "exacerbate tensions in the region."
Contrary to ASEAN's theme of focusing on development, this is apparently why the new Japanese leader was asked to exercise self-restraint at the summits. This also shows once again that ASEAN has its own staunch stance on issues related to regional development and will not be easily swayed by other countries.

@@tientinh688 We see China and ASEAN as collaborators to Myanmar junta. They maintain good relations with junta. They help junta survive and bully people. They put a blind eye to the real picture. They failed to criticize junta.

It is actually way too late for a peace plan. The junta do not deserve a peace plan. They have taken thousand upon thousands of civilian lives and they pay for their crimes against the people of Myanmar. Letting the junta have a peace plan is an insult to the people who have died for the cause of having a federal democratic government. Unless ASEAN wants to aid the people to win the civil war once and for all in the name of a Democratic Federal Republic, i'd suggest ASEAN to not involve in our country's affair.

North arakan wasn't part of burma. Kaldan river was natural border between bengal and arakan. Before arrival of bamar in arakan rohingyas lived there.

Remind history and Anglo- Burma wars ( 1824-1826, 1853,1885) .
The first Anglo- Burma war started officially in 1824-1826.
Burmese kingdom lost and signed The Yadabo land boundary treaty between British and Burmese kingdom on February 24,1826.
As rules of Yadabo treaty ,
The British govt and EIC gained Arakan ( Rakhine) and Thanin Thary provinces from control of Burmese kingdom as well as Assam ( Ahom kingdom and Manipur kingdom in 1826.
      Then,
The colonial British administration ruled Arakan ( Rakhine).province and Tanin Thary divisions in 1826.
In Arakan ( Ex kingdom) ,
The British authority conducted a population survey across the Arakan and recorded about 100,000 inhabitants including 30,000 residents at old1city ( Mrauk U) and ruled the Arakan division with 4 towns and villagers in 4 districts in 1826-1947.
      4 districts of Arakan,
      1) Akyab ( U - Ritt locally) district,
2 towns ( Akyab town and Mrauk U town and villages.
      2) Arakan hill track district also known as Northern Arakan hill track district.
      No town but villages.
      3) Kyauk Pyu District.
1 town ( kyauk Pyu ) and villages.
      4) Sandowary ( Than Dwe locally) district,
      1 Town ( Sandowary ) and villages.
      # To be clear more them ,
      1) the former Akyab ( U Ritt) district becomes present Sittwe district and Mrauk U district of Rakhine state.
      2) The former Arakan hill track district becomes present Paletwa district and Maung Daw district and parts of Rakhine Roma mountain range in Myanmar.
      3) the former greater Kyauk Pyu district becomes present day Kyauk Pyu district of Rakhine state and parts of magwe division in Myanmar.
      4) the former greater Sandowary district becomes present day Than Dwe district of Rakhine state and parts of pegu division and Irrawaddy division in Myanmar.
      So,
Are you clear that now ?
If North Arakan wasn't parts of British Burma in 1826-1947,
Where was North Arakan in 1826-1947 ?
Who lived in North Arakan region in 1826-1947?
Who ruled North Arakan in 1826-1947 ?
Where was North Arakan under the British empire in 1826-1947-1948?😀😁😃😃
