Every time ASEAN find a solution to Myanmar. The Western world create criticism and threaten sanctions and tariff against it. So yes ASEAN can fix Myanmar as long as the West does not interfere in ASEAN internal affairs.
The conflict in Myanmar involving various ethnic and political groups does require an inclusive dialogue approach to achieve peace. Dialogue between warring factions, be it from the military, ethnic groups, or other political parties, is very important to achieve a sustainable peace consensus. Honestly, ASEAN is totally hopeless in solving Myanmar's problems. Some of the ASEAN countries are not democratic at all and they don't even bother to hide it. Myanmar's people can only count on themselves to solve their country's problems. ASEAN has no influence over the junta, the resistance fighters, or ethnic armies.

ASEAN’s consistent focus on development should not be swayed. The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits are held in Vientiane, Laos, from Tuesday to Friday. As the host, Laos set the theme this year as "ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience." The theme of each annual summit often runs through the discussions and the speeches of national leaders during the series of meetings. Certainly, there are often individual countries that attempt to involve topics with obvious geopolitical implications. For example, in an editorial published last week, Indonesia's major media The Jakarta Post warned Japan's new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba against trying to promote his idea of building an Asian NATO during the annual ASEAN summit. It argued that Ishiba's idea would be "considered very offensive" to ASEAN and only "exacerbate tensions in the region." Contrary to ASEAN's theme of focusing on development, this is apparently why the new Japanese leader was asked to exercise self-restraint at the summits. This also shows once again that ASEAN has its own staunch stance on issues related to regional development and will not be easily swayed by other countries.
That is OK. Just do not fan the crisis in Myanmar by accepting military personnel to ASEAN meetings. Please note none of your countries have recognized the junta yet.

The colonial British administration ruled Arakan ( Rakhine).province and Tanin Thary divisions in 1826.
In Arakan ( Ex kingdom) ,
The British authority conducted a population survey across the Arakan and recorded about 100,000 inhabitants including 30,000 residents at old1city ( Mrauk U) and ruled the Arakan division with 4 towns and villagers in 4 districts in 1826-1947.
4 districts of Arakan,
1) Akyab ( U - Ritt locally) district,
2 towns ( Akyab town and Mrauk U town and villages.
2) Arakan hill track district also known as Northern Arakan hill track district.
No town but villages.
3) Kyauk Pyu District.
1 town ( kyauk Pyu ) and villages.
4) Sandowary ( Than Dwe locally) district,
1 Town ( Sandowary ) and villages.
# To be clear more them ,
1) the former Akyab ( U Ritt) district becomes present Sittwe district and Mrauk U district of Rakhine state.
2) The former Arakan hill track district becomes present Paletwa district and Maung Daw district and parts of Rakhine Roma mountain range in Myanmar.
3) the former greater Kyauk Pyu district becomes present day Kyauk Pyu district of Rakhine state and parts of magwe division in Myanmar.
4) the former greater Sandowary district becomes present day Than Dwe district of Rakhine state and parts of pegu division and Irrawaddy division in Myanmar.
So,
Are you clear that now ?
If North Arakan wasn't parts of British Burma in 1826-1947,
Where was North Arakan in 1826-1947 ?
Who lived in North Arakan region in 1826-1947?
Who ruled North Arakan in 1826-1947 ?
Where was North Arakan under the British empire in 1826-1947-1948?😀😁😃😃
