Mind-blowing graphics, beyond excellent voice acting, hilarious script, comical cut-scenes, very high replay ability, beautiful mix of medieval and modern rock music, tons of fan-service, CHILI-DOGS!!!!, great story, unexpected plot twists, Sonic's running again and FAST, heart-felt moral at the end, practically no glitches, very imaginative, not repetitive, no pointless missions, and JUST PLAIN FUN!!!! GODDAMMIT I LUV THIS GAME!!!!! I can feel that this is all leading to his comeback!!!
This is probably the funniest Sonic game. I love Sonic's entrance and his reaction to just about everything. The dialog between him and Caliburn is priceless. I think the Japanese writers totally nailed it with this game and Unleashed. It's the perfect balance of silly and serious. Shame they got replaced by the MadWorld writers... It seems like we were /this close/ to finally getting some proper cartoon humor in a Sonic game (with emphasis on proper).

This game is too underrated like Unleashed. Only reason why people hate this game is because Sonic has a sword. I find this a very amazing game. Short, yeah, but it was very great and not as sloppy as Secret Rings. The sword is for speed, which fits for Sonic. And also to fit the plot of the story. Just because Sonic has that sword doesn't make it suck. it sucks because you make it suck.
@BloodyAnbu2 OK ill give you that, but that has Shadow using a sword, not sonic. This is the first game where Sonic the Hedgehog uses a sword (or weapon). I just think it's cool and totally recommend it for sonic lovers that like swordplay!

Your statements are disputable (Your comments still seem exaggerated) and you probably don't consider the fact that those same good games on the 360 and PS3 were also on the Wii. In fact, Sonic sucking for the good part of the time between 2004-2009 had nothing to do with the console he appeared in, more than it did with Sonic Team dicking around with too many concepts that, quite frankly, were implemented horribly or didn't suit the character.

@vgman94 They're not bogus, they're what I can remember from actually playing the game - and slow and clunky combat is what it says on the tin - the action animations took too long and the delay between a button press and the werehog actually hitting the target affected the speed of the gameplay badly. And, even in the 360 and PS3 versions the framrate suffered when faced with a large amoun of enemies! Thats ridiculous! Stop using petty arguments and admit you've got no valid reasons for ur opin
@CalvinBetts455 obviously cyber went on the computer or desktop with an sd card and a sd card reader (get it online) or went on the wii channel to get some channels. it depends on what kind of version your wii is. If it's good for your wii version, convert the game or channel into your sd card and install your sd card inside. it should take about a couple of minutes. Besides the stuff Nintendo makes is advance... except gamecube and nintendo ds
@vgman94 Dimps made the better game, hence why the critics gave their version the better reviews even though they were working with less sophisticated tech. The day stages do stand by themselves - hence why colours was a far better commercial and critical success, selling nearly as many units as unleashed and only being on 2 consoles. And the enemies? atrocious. Same ones every time. Boring. Unoriginal.

I love the Adventure games- they mixed the playstyles and genres but made sure they worked and were of excellent standard and fit in with the rest of the game. Since then however the gimmicks have been tacky, uneeded, unfitting and unpolished. Heroes - dodgy camera. Shadow - gun feature didn't feel right, very stop start gameplay (and I do love everything else about that game) Secret rings - poor controls (cont.)

We have the Black Knight and this wizard woman, and their models look like something from a Final Fantasy or similar fantasy RPG game. Then, Sonic, with his chili dogs and heavily stylized appearance, pops up, and the game looks cheapened.

Perhaps it's a cover for lack of attention to detail. @RetroEternity Dude, this game is awesome, and don't hate on the Wii. Not something that should be repeated, but it's awesome. The kind of awesome you don't want repeated over and over, it's just perfect. Awesome graphics, PhysX, and BEST OF ALL, it's got a very good implementation of the Wii's controller with a very good fighting system. It's like candy or beer, depending on which you prefer. You want it badly, but you'll be sick from an overload of it. Also Wii COULD handle HD but it's locked.
exactly. people just need to broaden their horizens. now i'll admit everyone is entitled to thier opinion, but some people don't even give new things a chance. Combining Sonic's trademark speed with simple and fun swordplay was genius. Unleashed's Werehog was a nice change in pace. Original ideas and taking the series in new directions is the right move. this game wasn't as good as Unleashed, but it was pretty damn good.
Dont get me wrong i totally agree with what you said, but really is a game really that fun and interesting if its been changed, if this was a totaly different game (not a sonic one) but had the same storyline and gameplay, it probably wont be that bad, the fact that they have throwen sonic into it and based it on him has changed the whole way sonic is played, although to blame everything i just said on people who prefere the origional style of gameplay is quite a petty way to put it.
What happened to the good old fashoned run through level, kick robotniks ass & go home and eat a chilli dog, now there monsters and stupid unneeded storylines what have nothing to do with sonic what so ever. Hopefully the new sonic 2D game coming out will be a little better, i highly dought it though. Well, we all have our own opinions, like Heroes is my FAVORITE Sonic game, I think Nex Gen is under-appreciated, I think DX and SonicCD are overrated, seems like people have the same problem with Black Knight and Shadow and how they just hate the "idea" of the game (guns and swords), and I despise retro fans with every bone in my body, they are just the most useless kind of people. I like the WHOLE Sonic series though, some say I'm not a TRUE fan because I don't hate the current Sonic.

a friend told me (who's a big sonic fan by the way) that the original idea was that this was a story told by sonic to Amy so that he could not go on a date with her, he was stalling. So to make some characters look like sonic characters makes sense. Burt seeing how they didn't go threw with that idea it doesn't make sense.

@vgman94 Dimps made the better game, hence why the critics gave their version the better reviews even though they were working with less sophisticated tech. The day stages do stand by themselves - hence why colours was a far better commercial and critical success, selling nearly as many units as unleashed and only being on 2 consoles. And the enemies? atrocious. Same ones every time. Boring. Unoriginal.
@vgman94 Don't get me wrong - I like it when they try something new with Sonic. I love the Adventure games- they mixed the playstyles and genres but made sure they worked and were of excellent standard and fit in with the rest of the game. Since then however the gimmicks have been tacky, uneeded, unfitting and unpolished. Heroes - dodgy camera. Shadow - gun feature didn't feel right, very stop start gameplay (and I do love everything else about that game) Secret rings - poor controls (cont.)
@vgman94 Trust me, they were unresponsive, hence how later levels with platforming in them were just irritating. Moves clunky and boring? Yeap, and I bought the game, played it wanting the werehog to work and it didn't. I have no idea whether i got above the 15th level, because I gave up. On the last world. A werehog mission came up and I just thought- can't be bothered. Its so bad I can't bring myself to play throuigh for more sonic. (continued)
@vgman94 And? Who cares if he had over 30 combos which noone could remember due to unresponsive controls! 100 attack animations which were slow and clunky and boring. If they want to do something new make sure its right for the games, then do it. Not throw it in and blindly hope for the best. Now you might be a werehog fan and thats okay but you cannot excuse lazy game production and shoddy standards. New and exciting things almost killed sonic, his popularity died and he just clung on.
@vgman94 It's not so much that Sonic can't, as you eloquently put it, do what "big boys" can. It's that the character designs and settings are just incongruous. We have the Black Knight and this wizard woman, and their models look like something from a Final Fantasy or similar fantasy RPG game. Then, Sonic, with his chili dogs and heavily stylized appearance, pops up, and the game looks cheapened.

har har har jk. im basically saying that even if the games arent the best you should still support sega so they will make a better game in the future. games are not gonna be how you imagine it and its not going to be perfect as much as you want to be. you take away sonic's speed, you take away sonic himself. not the best idea btw. just saying. just be thankful that we got another game.

@TrickyWolfy666 Well, I enjoyed the first half of the video. Pretty snazzy stuff, but the whole quality of Sega games, I just don't care for it. I can't explain why it's different, but it just is. Perhaps it's a cover for lack of attention to detail. I'm a big fan of that... and as fun as this might be, I might never know because of the collection of small little things that could've been done. Just IMO.

this game is good no matter what people say. people dont get how much effort goes into making these games. if people dont start appreciating the games that sega actually makes for us, and chewing them out for stupid stuff, they are going to be terrified to make a new game. this game had beautiful graphics and it was unique.they are just trying to make a new variety of things.the games need to go on.it would suck if 10 years from now that people will not know who sonic, kinda like other classics
@RetroEternity Dude, this game is awesome, and don't hate on the Wii. Not something that should be repeated, but it's awesome. The kind of awesome you don't want repeated over and over, it's just perfect. Awesome graphics, PhysX, and BEST OF ALL, it's got a very good implementation of the Wii's controller with a very good fighting system. It's like candy or beer, depending on which you prefer. You want it badly, but you'll be sick from an overload of it. Also Wii COULD handle HD but it's locked.
exactly. people just need to broaden their horizens. now i'll admit everyone is entitled to thier opinion, but some people don't even give new things a chance. Combining Sonic's trademark speed with simple and fun swordplay was genius. Unleashed's Werehog was a nice change in pace. Original ideas and taking the series in new directions is the right move. this game wasn't as good as Unleashed, but it was pretty damn good.
Dont get me wrong i totally agree with what you said, but really is a game really that fun and interesting if its been changed, if this was a totaly different game (not a sonic one) but had the same storyline and gameplay, it probably wont be that bad, the fact that they have throwen sonic into it and based it on him has changed the whole way sonic is played, although to blame everything i just said on people who prefere the origional style of gameplay is quite a petty way to put it.
What happened to the good old fashoned run through level, kick robotniks ass & go home and eat a chilli dog, now there monsters and stupid unneeded storylines what have nothing to do with sonic what so ever. Hopefully the new sonic 2D game coming out will be a little better, i highly dought it though. The only way you can make a good 2D sonic game is to just keep it simple, only badguy is botnik, none of this evil knight, werehog, princess buisiness, just good old fashined sonic the hedehog!!!
Well, we all have our own opinions, like Heroes is my FAVORITE Sonic game, I think Nex Gen is under-appreciated, I think DX and SonicCD are overrated, seems like people have the same problem with Black Knight and Shadow and how they just hate the "idea" of the game (guns and swords), and I despise retro fans with every bone in my body, they are just the most useless kind of people. I like the WHOLE Sonic series though, some say I'm not a TRUE fan because I don't hate the current Sonic.
Like the SonicVoiceFan you bring up a good point. But the official reviews are coming from people who think that Nex Gen is better than Unleashed. I was trying to say that if you hate the games, that's fine, that's understandable, that's respectable, but it's when you go out of your way to a RUclips video JUST to complain is when you become this basement dweller with clearly nothing better to do...

I realized that the guy who played Sonic's voice also played Chris Redfield's voice.
a friend told me (who's a big sonic fan by the way) that the original idea was that this was a story told by sonic to Amy so that he could not go on a date with her, he was stalling. So to make some characters look like sonic characters makes sense. Burt seeing how they didn't go threw with that idea it doesn't make sense.
i just noticed something you know that you can unlock silver as some kind of knight well that knight is the son of sir lancelot and shadow is sir lancelot and pretty much everyone tells me that sir lancelot protects loves and marries the lady of the lake. so pretty much its shadow and amy mating and then silver is their son XDDDD
