Common for Elevators to be shut down. The owner of the High Rise should have meet with Metro Nashville Fire Department before renting & selling Condos for how to respond to a fire, or any disaster, & inform Metro Fire of there system with Generators.
now there's must be an electrical survey performed by an independent company. I trust the Developer more than ff's on scene making a bad call based on lack of education which makes the dept liable for all the damages incurred by displaced residents based on that bad call.
Not the Fire Deapartment’s fault. The Manager of the High Rise should have meet with Metro Fire Department, prior to rental & selling Condos. The High Rise should have informed Metro Fire of their Generator System. And, should had a Disaster Plan set in Place how to respond to fires, & other Disasters. I have lived in High Rises, & the Metro Fire Department responded appropriately, w/o being informed of their Generator System, which is differ than other High Rise.
