Both Clay's deserve crazy recognition. Everyone in that band is second to none. It's tough to watch. Scottie is slowly getting his due. Maybe the Clay's are next up. They are both unbelievably unique, technical wizards and no one plays like either of them.
they need to join another band. tim henson is insufferable and his gimmicky technical playing is getting tired imo. i think all 3 of them would flourish creatively without him

Clay A dropped ego and let Luke Holland play on half of the tracks and they co-wrote together. I think it'll shake out as they continue to grow. It's been a lot about Tim. But I don't think he's unwilling to release the reigns. I get your point though. People will eventually get tired of Tim's approach, so they'll have to keep evolving as they are.
@@SythPls just practice using both fingers by doing alternating string patterns plug one string with your pick then pluck string below it with your middle finger and alternate through that then you can start incorporating it while doing lines on your picking fingers
Funny thing, got into polyphia not because of the insane playing of tim but because of the insane playing from clay... but its ofcourse nice how everything compliments each other in the sound
god damn the hybrid picking sounds so fucking good on the bass and his sense of rhythm and where he can get away with the hybrid triplets makes everything sound 10x better. Homie had to make his own style on the instrument just so he doesn't get buried in the mix and it works really fucking well without sounding like hes overplaying.

I totally agree! The band doesn’t stand 1 or 2 people. They all bring it and it’s their United skill, talent and playing chemistry! I like that more recently their music is spot lighting each of them more!

Just title it like "best of clay gober" or some shit
20 years ago a record company would have refused to have signed them without a singer, they probably would of had one forced on them and would have had to adjust to it, perhaps making music the could sell 10s of millions and headline 100s of festivals across the world.....I guess we'll never see that alternate future.

Ok when used well and he can. I try not to use a pick on bass but for fast precise passages it's less straining on the fingers. But fingered bass sounds better. A pick makes it sound plucky and cheap, toy sound like.
