Четвёртая часть старалась как могла приблизиться к канону FlatOut, но ребятам либо не хватило опыта, либо времени и денег чтобы сделать настоящего наследника легендарных гонок. Честно скажу, я не играл в новую часть, да и не собирался. Я не ожидал от игры полноценного ремейка первых частей. ИМХО

Guys, Flatout 4 isnt a bad game. I completely must say it doesnt reach the power of the first titles. But. You have to see that flatout4 developers arent the same as in flatout 1 and 2. It is a good start to come in the Franchise again. And thats the Point that i love. Flatout isnt dead anymore. !
Like I don´t own the game yet (no time for it - Dark Souls 3 DLC :D), but from what I saw, it seems very good and I am definitely going to buy it. I have around 1000 hours in Flatout 2, can´t wait for more hours in this one.

At 1:14 if you look close enough, the grass moves on FlatOut 2 but on FlatOut 4, the grass is still plus no damage physics on FlatOut 4 either. This is 2 examples of how lazy of a production FlatOut 4 got.
I think the problem with the 4th entry is that it tries to be realistic in gameplay and not fun. The cars feel like you're driving an oven on rails and graphics look realistic but imo, they lack the style. It's all just grey hue with many textures. But it feels kinda plastic.
Fl4tOut: Total Insanity may be not as good as 1, 2, and UC, but I think this is a GOOD consideration if you guys get this game. An improvement that should be noticed from the FO3's biggest flop ever…

flatout 2 still looks quite good 12 years later. and its very well optimized, even in 2006 you could play it on 3-4 year old systems without any problems

problem of flatout 2 or i don´t know realy be cuz is the first race game that i played is that rear traction is good for velocity but horrorible for manouvers and the foward is reverse and u have full control of the manouvers while the 4x4 is good for both

Nah dude It's kinda funny how the game that was released almost a decade ago, and only one year after initial FO2 release not only can visually compete with the modern title, but keep the leader's position for the most part.
