    I have the same setup, but my endlinks keep popping our of the white line sway bar im not sure why any advice on that?

    • @Massimo_Media
      @Massimo_Media  Год назад

      I had the same issue where my FA end links kept breaking. You’ll need to go with Whiteline sway bar end links as they’re much stronger. I believe the correct length end link part # for the S197 is KLC-180 although I could be wrong.

      @@Massimo_Media I got the orange white-line sway bar end links with the sway-bar kit but they where way too long with my car being lowered. Did you use a different sized white-line end link than what came original with the sway bar kit?

      @@sls-mt1hs yes, I believe Whiteline part # KLC-180

    When you drive it could you say that it corners like it is on rails. Or would you choose a higher spring rate?

    • @Massimo_Media
      @Massimo_Media  2 года назад +1

      I’ve been in a few cars that truly handle like they’re on rails, and I would say this car stacks up to them. I’d rate it a 8.5/10. But I wouldn’t go with a different spring rate, I think most of the -1.5/10 rating attributes to the car being so heavy at ~3500lbs and I haven’t played with fine tuning of my suspension parts a whole lot yet (damping on coilovers, sway bar adjustments, etc.).

    • @32jonathana
      @32jonathana 2 года назад

      I got pretty much every suspension part upgraded on my 5.0 but I went with ST XTA coilovers and they just feel way too soft and don't handle too well for my liking..

    • @Massimo_Media
      @Massimo_Media  2 года назад +1

      @@32jonathana you should look into the Fortune Autos. They’re very stiff on the track and surprisingly comfortable on the street.

    Wait so when you buy these coil overs it doesn’t come with every thing you need to instal? Why did you have to get new bolts or not use some of the hardware that came with them?

    • @Massimo_Media
      @Massimo_Media  2 года назад

      It came with almost everything. Those bolts discussed in the video were the only thing I needed to make my FA coils work on my car. This could just be something missed in my order only.

    I have the same setup, how did you tighten the rear shock top nut ? When I try to tighten it just spins the shock shaft and never get fully tight.

    • @Massimo_Media
      @Massimo_Media  2 года назад

      I remember that was a tough one. I believe I had my install partner hold the shock in the wheel well area with his hands and really grip it while I tightened the top nut in the trunk area. Or something along those lines.

    how did you know where to put your camber?

    • @michaelrodgers6559
      @michaelrodgers6559 7 месяцев назад +1

      I'd say nothing more than -1.5⁰ for a street car. If you're focused on track (roadcourse) performance, start at the -1.5⁰ and check your tire temperatures at the inside and outside tread blocks once the tires are warmed up. The goal is to keep the tread temperature inside to outside are as even as possible, indicating that you're making the most of all the tread and thus making as much grip as possible. If the outside tread blocks are hotter, add negative camber. If the inside blocks are hotter, bring the camber closer to 0⁰.
      Of course, this is just a starting point for specifically making more grip, so most of the time if you've got that camber adjusted in the method I just explained and you aren't happy with the grip in specific situations, you'll have to tune the rest of your suspension to suit your driving style/the track/conditions.
