  • We all have a thread that drew us to quilting. We sat down with Michelle, a quilter and maker from California, to hear about her quilting journey: how she got started, what she likes to make and give, and why quilting has remained such a big part of her life.
Every quilt has a story, and so does every quilter. We’re in love with them all. Does Michelle's story resonate with you? Share with us in the comments below.
We’re almost a million quilters strong in this community. And we’re stronger still when we share with each other.

I really love the stories why someone quilt, it's so interesting, always different and sometimes a reminder. It's a bit like meeting a long forgotten friend as we are all quilter, even here in Germany ❤

I'm really enjoying these while I do the dishes and work around the house. Thank you for putting them together. I love seeing the quilts that each person displays. I really wish the question was voiced as well as written on the screen for those times when I'm not looking at the screen. Increasing the volume of the interviews would be nice too. They seem quieter than the normal Missouri Star videos.

Good for you. Isn’t it amazing what children will pick up with simple and repetitive instructions. This was inspirational. Hope many others see this. Tried to explain why I do it to husband. He just doesn’t eat. Thanks

I wish so much that I was able to go to a MSQC retreat, but we live too fat away to drive (would have to drive to bring my sewing machine, etc.) and I’m finally admitting to being just a bit long in the tooth (that means I’m getting older by the day😁😁). So I really enjoy the weekly videos plus being able,to shoo online! I’m looking at the pattern of the quilt in the background on the ladder!!!

Please try to go! There are plenty of ladies with mobility issues and they have made accommodations for that. Plus, just let them know you need a sewing machine and one will be provided! ❤

I came up with the quilt being "Wanderlust" .. by MSQC. There's a Triple Play video of it from 6-18-2021. It's Misty's quilt and she's first in the video.

Background music makes this difficult to understand. Just let us hear the words we don’t need the emo.
