One that I failed to mention in this video is baptizing babies. We do not believe in baptizing babies for salvation. We believe you can dedicate your baby to the Lord but that does not guarantee true or salvation. Baptism must happen subsequent to salvation.

No person who understands the catholic religion worships the Pope. Likewise the Early Church fathers already venerated Mary and the Saints. I'm talking the catholic (universal) Church, not just the Roman Catholic Church. The original Church. The Church of Peter and the Apostles. Protestants follow the teachings of Martin Luther who in my opinion, reject their teachings but can strangely cherry pick some of it, like a trinitarian God, which is not in the Bible.
I too am a cradle catholic and was confused when i grew up. I applied my belief and knowledge of a child and was unable to defend Catholicsm from protestants. I didn't know it well enough. Nowhere in the bible does it state that Jesus was born on 25th December. These are pagan beliefs being grafted into Christianity.
You are worshipping sun gods. Why is your Sabbath on SUNday rather than Saturday (the real biblical Sabbath)?
In 321 A.D. Constantine (emperor of Rome) decreed: “On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed”.
Commandment eight from the commandments tells you:
”Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” Exodus 20:8 KJV
This verse clearly tells you to remember which day it is, and to keep it holy. But Constantine changed which day it was and his church changed the wording on their version of the ten commandments to:
“Remember to keep holy the LORD'S Day.”Removing remember the Sabbath day (i.e. which day it was).
These resurrecting godmen (i.e. Osiris, Horus, Adonis ,Tammuz, Mithras etc.) are known by different names in different cultures but are fundamentally the same mythical being with some varying attributes. You are worshipping SUN gods and the main worship day of them is on SUNday. They commonly have sun discs behind or on top of their heads.
The whole Catholic mass has its roots with the pagan religions. All the pagan rituals seemed to have been merged into Christianity. The Eucharist once transubstantiated into Jesus is then placed into a “Monstrance” that looks like a sunburst (i.e. representing the sun). The pagan religions mentioned are forms of sun worship, worshipping their sun gods.Jesus’ the Christians are worshipping is not the real historical Jesus but just a Roman way of worshipping their sun gods.
Hymn singing and the use of musical instruments was used in many forms of pagan worship. The use of bell, candles, and holy water came from Mithraism.

Bridget Drummond Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father except through me. The church is not the way. Jesus is the way. The Apostle Paul even stated that wolves will come into the church and pervert the truth. That’s exactly what took place with the beginning of Catholic doctrines. Let me ask you this. If you know the truth above everyone else do you still practice sin? Do you still lie, and steal, and slander, and take Gods name in vain, lust or look at porn, or get drunk, do you ever hate or dishonor your parents, do you do drugs? Do you commit sexual immorality of any kind? If you still practice sin habitually then can you say you walk with God and know God truly. It says in 1 John that if a man claims to know God but does not obey his commandments then he is a liar and the truth is not in him, meaning Jesus. Because Jesus is the truth. Think about that and then get back to me. Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. It’s real easy to practice religion but never actually get born again. This is why Jesus said it is not those that have said Lord Lord that will enter the kingdom of heaven but only those that do the will of my father. Jesus said he will say to those depart from me you who practice iniquity for I never knew you. Think about that and get back to me. There are a lot of professing Christians that don’t know God at all just like the Jews that crucified Jesus did not know God at all even though they were children of Abraham by heritage.

Robert Reinhart Jesus said the blind follow the blind. The Bible says we have an anointing from the Holy One and we do not need anyone to teach us. That is because when a man gets born again Jesus comes to live inside of a persons heart. When you have Jesus you don’t need anyone to teach you. I don’t need anyone to teach me at all. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they will not follow another. The reason why you struggle and don’t know is because you have never acknowledged your sin before God. You are trying to find God and God is actually trying to find you. It’s not about being good or following a set of rules. It’s about turning away from your sin and following Jesus. Not following rules. Following Jesus. You have to acknowledge your sin first though. If you are honest you will admit that you practice certain sins. The Bible says that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God. The Bible says if someone is practicing sin then the truth of God is not in them. The Bible says that person is a liar. When the Holy Spirit lives in someone they cannot continue in sin. The Bible says it is impossible for the man that is born again to continue in sin. You know as well as I do that you are practicing certain sins. You just have to be honest about those sins and repent of them. I am not talking about confessing them to a priest or saying things like everybody sins. No everybody doesn’t sin. If a man be born again he cannot continue in sin. It doesn’t mean that man will never sin again. It means if the Holy Spirit lives in you then the Holy Spirit is leading your life and the decisions you make. You don’t need to learn anymore. Jesus said they are forever seeking but never perceiving and forever hearing but never understanding. You have to ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life and repent of your sins and then commit to follow him with all your heart. You have to admit you are a sinner though first. I don’t mean say yes I am a sinner because everyone sins. I am talking about examining your own life and the sins you have committed and acknowledging those sins before God right where you are. God can hear you right where you are. You don’t have to go to church to find God. God is everywhere and he hears the cry of your heart right where you are. If you try to hang on to self righteousness and try to keep searching for the right rules and teachings to follow then you will never find truth. Jesus is the truth. Jesus is the way and Jesus is the life. You don’t need a religion. You need to find Jesus.

This is a rare video - you get fairly close to what Catholics actually believe, with only a few minor mistakes. Thank you for doing everything you could to get it right! It's so nice to see a good faith effort for once.
    1. We don't believe we are saved by works, but that works are a necessary part of salvation, since faith without works is dead, among other verses.
    2. We have 7 more books than Protestants, not 14, books that were used by Jesus in His day.
    3. We believe in three authorities: written tradition (the Bible), oral tradition (the teachings of the Church such as interpretation), and the Magisterium (the Church itself).
    4. We absolutely do not put Mary on the same level as Jesus. She is less than the smallest mote of dust beneath God's feet. However, she is the Mother of God, and deserves our respect for her role in salvation history. All generations will call her blessed, after all.
    5. You do not have to say Hail Marys in order to be forgiven. The penance assigned after confession is not fixed nor is it necessary. Jesus forgives us either way. However, doing penance is a part of repentance, and benefits us.
    6. The Bible never once says the Eucharist is a "symbol" of Jesus's body. Jesus repeats that it is His body and blood six times without backing down.
Keep putting out such great content. It's awesome to engage with faithful Protestants.

    • @0NoOne1nParticular

“Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy,
hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
      To you we cry, the children of Eve;
to you we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this land of exile.
      Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
      your eyes of mercy toward us;
      lead us home at last.”
      A) How is the above not a direct prayer/petition to Mary? That is not you, asking her, to pray for you. That is you praying to her.
      B) How is calling Mary your "hope", "sweetness", "life", & "holy" not worship?
It's pretty clear that Catholics not only pray directly to Mary (and don't just ask her for intercession as they claim) but also worship her.

    • @bigfootapologetics
      @bigfootapologetics 2 года назад +106

@@0NoOne1nParticular A.) It's an eloquent, poetic way of asking for her to lead us to Christ, which is the very essence of intercessory prayer. Our home is in heaven with Jesus. The Hail, Holy Queen prayer is traditionally a part of the rosary, in which we ask Mary to pray for us now and at the hour of our death that we may make our way to the fruit of her womb, Jesus.
B.) If you called one of your kids your hope, sweetness, and your life, would that be worshiping him or her? Of course not. It's a way to express the magnitude of your appreciation and love. So referring to the mother of Jesus that way is not worship, unless of course you believe she is divine.
And we don't believe she is divine. Otherwise, we'd tell you! We'd call her our goddess. We'd call her our savior. We wouldn't deny our worship of her, because that's not what someone who worships a deity does. You can find plenty of official Catholic doctrine informing us that Mary is not to be worshiped, and that worshiping anyone other than God is a mortal sin, but you won't find a single document in our 2,000-year history saying that we should worship Mary. Except of course, writings from groups like the Collyridians, who were excommunicated for that very reason.
And yes, we call Mary holy for the same reason we call the Bible holy: because in Koine Greek, the word is either attributed to something that inspires religious awe or something that has God's seal upon it, and surely, the woman that bore Jesus Christ incarnate was marked by God!

@@0NoOne1nParticular Hey, if you want to just ignore everything I said, be sarcastic, and put words in my mouth in favor of the conclusion you already had before replying to me in the first place, you could've just saved us both time and not bothered to comment in the first place.
I understand that it's confusing to understand the distinction between affectionate words and worship, given that the Protestant worldview did away with the classical understanding of what worship meant to Christians for all of history in the 16th century.
Fulton Sheen once said: “There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate The Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they wrongly perceive the Catholic Church to be.” Sadly, in your case, you don't have the excuse of ignorance here; as I've told you and every Catholic and Orthodox has maintained for 2,000 years, none of us see Mary as divine or an object of our worship. So while you're welcome to accuse us of something we don't do (to the point where we have excommunicated the people who do it) and explicitly tell you we don't do, just remember that false witness is a serious sin.
All I can do here is wish you the best and hope God leads you to being more open-minded and charitable in the future.

Is the Catholic Church Jesus’ original church?
The quotes provided below are historical facts in reference to our early church which existed prior to Romes adoption of Christianity in 313 A.D. and it’s a glimpse of what’s found within its pages.
      Church:
      * "Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church.” [St. Ignatius of Antioch - Letter to the Smyrneans 8 (c. A.D. 110)]
      Bishop, Priest & Deacon:
      * “Since, then, I have had the privilege of seeing you, through Damas your most worthy bishop, and through your worthy presbyters Bassus and Apollonius, and through my fellow-servant the deacon Sotio, whose friendship may I ever enjoy, because he is subject to the bishop as to the grace of God, and to the presbytery as to the law of Jesus Christ [St. Ignatius of Antioch- Letter to the Magnesians 2 (c. A.D. 110)].
      Eucharist:
      * “Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ, which have come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God... They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, Ash that suffered for our sins and that the Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes.” [St. Ignatius of Antioch - Letter to the Smyrnaeans 6-7 (c. A.D. 110)].
      Scripture:
      * “[W]hoever perverts the sayings of the Lord for his own desires, and says that there is neither resurrection nor judgment, is the firstborn of Satan. Let us leave the foolishness and the false teaching of the crowd and turn back to the word that was delivered to us in the beginning.” [St. Polycrap of Smyrna - Letter to the Philippians 7 (c. A.D. 135)].
      Sunday:
      * “But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Savior on the same day rose from the dead.” [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 67 (c. A.D. 151)].
      Actions/Works:
      * “We have learned from the prophets, and we believe it is true, that punishments, and chastisements, and good rewards, are rendered according to the merit of each man's actions. If it is not so, then all things happen by fate, and nothing is in our own power. If it is fated that this man be good, and this other evil, the former is not meritorious nor the latter blameworthy [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 43 (c. A.D. 151)].
      Apostolic Succession:
      * “It is within the power of all, in every church, who may wish to see the truth, to contemplate clearly the Tradition of the apostles manifested throughout the whole world; and we are in a position to reckon up those who were instituted bishops in the churches by the apostles, and [to demonstrate] the succession of these men to our own times; those who neither taught nor knew anything these [heretics] rave about.” [St. Irenaeus of Lyons - Against Heresies 3:3:1 (c. A.D. 189)]
      Baptism:
      * “The children shall be baptized first. All the children who can answer for themselves, let them answer. If there are any children who cannot answer for themselves, let their parents answer for them, or someone else from their family.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21 (c. A.D. 215)].
      Confession:
      * “After this, one of the bishops present, at the request of all, laying his hand on him who is ordained bishop, shall pray this way: O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. pour forth the power that is from you, of "the princely Spirit' that you delivered to your beloved Child, Jesus Christ, and that he bestowed on your holy apostles, who established the Church that hallows you everywhere, for the endless glory and praise of your name. Father, "who knows the hearts [of all]” grant this servant, who you have chosen for the episcopate, to feed your holy flock and serve as your high priest blamelessly night and day, and unceasingly turn away wrath from your face and offer to you the gifts of the holy Church. And that by the high priestly Spirit he may have authority "to forgive sins" according to your command.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 2-3 (c. A.D. 215)].
      Confirmation:
      * “The bishop will then lay his hand upon them, invoking, "Lord God, you who have made these worthy of the removal of sins through the bath of regeneration, make them worthy to be filled with your Holy Spirit, grant to them your grace, that they might serve you according to your will, for to you is the glory, Father and Son with the Holy Spirit, in the holy Church, now and throughout the ages of the ages. Amen." After this he pours the oil into his hand, and laying his hand on each of their heads, says, "I anoint you with holy oil in God the Father Almighty, and Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit." Then, after sealing each of them on the forehead, he shall give them the kiss of peace and say, "The Lord be with you." And the one who has been baptized shall say, "And with your spirit." So shall he do to each one [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21-22 (c. A.D. 215).
      Peter’s Authority:
      * “The Lord says to Peter: "I say to you,' he says, “that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it. And to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven. [Mt 16:18-19]. On him he builds the Church, and commands him to feed the sheep [Jn 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single chair [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed the others were also what Peter was [apostles], but a primacy is given to Peter, by which it is made clear that there is one Church and one chair.... If someone does not hold fast to this unity of Peter, can he think that he holds the faith? If he deserts the chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, can he be confident that he is in the Church?.” [St. Cyprian of Carthage - Unity of the Catholic Church 4; first edition (Treatise 1:4) (A.D. 251)].
These few topics (but a glimpse) were not only discussed but settled BEFORE Rome adopted Christianity (The Catholic Church) and eventually became The Roman Catholic Church as it also adopted its name after 313 A.D.
Is the Catholic Church Jesus’ original church? Yes!
Does this excuse all its mistakes and sins from the record? Of course not! As Christians, we are called to hold the church accountable, not leave it and let evil flourish within it.
This refusal of accountability within every Christian has led to over 40,000 diferente Christian churches and the ignorance which has flourished from it.
“This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:13-15‬
We are called by God to unite! What better church to do it under than the one he started.

Just asking. Not saying you're no good or don't believe in God. But if you believe Jesus is the only way to heaven, why are you in a church that is very insistent, persistent, in supposed prayers for various saints, especially Mary, to in turn pray to God?? I prefer to go directly to the source like our only Christ taught. I don't believe in Catholicism anymore whatsoever. Yet, I really can't stand this crap, this BS of super divided Christianity.. Such as when various believers of very different Jesus Christ believing churches, keep saying so and so ain't Christian. When instead of teaching love like we ought to, so called Christians are teaching hate. Bashing each other's beliefs and judging each other's character with no mercy.. Instead of teaching love one another and do good to those that do you wrong. Love your enemy. What better are you when you love only those that love you? And if you salute your kin only, what do you more than others? THAT'S what Jesus taught. Hence, as much as I strongly dislike my old Roman catholic faith, I can't in good conscience say all Catholics are not Christian. I think many have not been Christian or acted like a Christian should. I know others have indeed behaved like a Christian ought to. I'm beyond positive Jesus and God forbids such a notion that a particular faith is not Christian because of how different their faith is compared to others. I ain't God and sure don't know enough about every single person of a faith to say NO they all aren't Christian at all. ONLY GOD decides and only He can judge. Fear no man but God. So don't be afraid of what very flawed man, meaning all of us, say about you being Christian or not.

That's the same analogy as asking your friends and family to pray for you, when you can just go straight to Him.
And no, we don't necessarily need Mary to get to Jesus, but she can immensely help us to get closer to Him. Of course if you're really against about it, aren't open and not fully understand why Catholics (and Orthodox, as well as others) ask for their intercession, then you would definitely accuse us of misconceptions. At that point, it's better if we stay silent until you actually and genuinely ask a practicing Catholic why we do such things.

Yamahall personal salvation, there is another divergence between the way of seeing the things of many evangelical groups and the doctrine. Catholic For them it’s enough to just have faith in Christ; for us, faith in Christ is not enough to be saved. A life is needed in conformity with the teaching of Christ (Lk 6,46). (Mt 7, 21). Actually, believing Christ means accepting his message and living it, without adding or removing anything. It is not enough to say: «I believe in Christ», to be saved. It is necessary to know your will and accept it as it is. How is it possible that many think to save themselves, without accepting this command of Jesus? In effect, updating the Lord's Supper is an order. (Lc 22,19). same as regards the forgiveness of sins. Is it possible for one to forgive sins? "they repeat. Well, ask Jesus. He who created heaven and earth has the power to commission men to forgive sins in his name? This means to truly believe in Christ: accept ALL his message and try to live it. Otherwise it is an empty faith, which does not lead to salvation. Say: "I believe in Christ and already" is a mistake, a vain illusion, which does not lead to salvation. We must accept and obey Christ, to be saved. You do not have to choose one or the other teaching, according to your own taste, but you have to accept everything Jesus says. This is to believe in Christ.

I, as a practicing Catholic, found much misinformation about Catholics presented in this "Are Catholics Considered Christians and What are the Differences in Beliefs?" video by Allen Parr.
(1:58) #1. Our View on How a Person Gets to Heaven (Protestants say "Faith alone". Catholics practice "Faith and Works").
Allen Parr incorrectly states that those "works" are the Catholic seven sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Communion, Confession, Marriage, Holy Orders, and the Annointing of the Sick) that Catholics must do in addition to having Faith in order to get to Heaven. Catholics believe that in addition to having Faith you must put that Faith into action, hence the "works". It's the difference between telling a hungry person that you have Faith that they will find food to eat (Protestant) verses telling a hungry person that you have Faith that they will find food to eat and then giving them food to eat (Catholic).
(2:53) #2. Our Views on the Authority of the Bible (Protestants say their 66-book Bible is the final authority on Faith and Practice. Catholics use both the Bible and the Catholic tradition teachings). Allen Parr is correct that when Catholics have disagreements on how to interpret the Bible it is the Pope who has the final and authoritative word. Without the Pope acting as a referee of sorts with the final say then Catholics would have multiple Catholic sub-groups each with their own interpretation of the Bible, which is what Protestantism is. Also, Allen Par incorrectly states that the Catholic Bible has 14 "extra" books over the Protestant Bible. It was the Catholic church that compiled the Bible and when Martin Luther protested away from the Catholic church he removed books from the Bible (and he wanted to remove more books, such as Revelation).
(4:16) #3. Our View on How a Person Should Approach God (Protestants say they don't have to go through anyone to get through God. Catholics must confess sins to a priest who then passes it to God and then Catholics must pray to Mary to elevate her to the same level as Jesus, which is wrong because Mary was a sinful woman who happened to be chosen to be the mother of Jesus).
Allen Par's understanding of Catholicism is wrong here. When Catholics confess sins to a Catholic priest the priest is representing the Catholic church and the confession goes directly to God. The priest's role during confessions is to hear the confession, offer counseling, and then to absolve the confessed sins as a representative of the Catholic church. Allen Par incorrectly states that Catholics pray to Mary to elevate her to the same level as Jesus. Catholics ask Mary to "pray for us sinners now" the way you ask a friend to pray for you. Also, unlike what Allen Par states that Mary was a sinful woman, Catholics believe that Mary was born free from original sin through the Immaculate Conception.
(6:15) #4. Our View on Life After Death - Purgatory (Protestants don't believe in Purgatory. Catholics believe in Purgatory).
Allen Par is correct that Catholics believe that some people must first go through Purgatory to be purged of sins before going to heaven or to the presence of God. Purgatory only applies to people who die in God's grace and friendship but are still imperfectly purified (for example, the person was a practicing Catholic who died before going to confession). Purgatory does not apply to evil people who are destined for Hell.
(6:36) #5. Prayers for the Dead (Catholics pray for the dead in hopes that the prayers will help boost a dead person to be with God who otherwise wouldn't be able to).
Allen Par, praying for the dead is something both Catholics and non-Catholics do.
(6:55) #6. Prayers to the Dead (Catholics don't pray only to Jesus, they also pray to Mary and the Saints).
Allen Par is correct. When Catholics pray to Mary and to the Saints, it is not to worship Mary and the Saints or to elevate them on the same level as Jesus, it's to ask Mary and the Saints to pray for them the same way you ask a friend or a Protestant pastor to pray for you or to say a prayer for a family member.
(7:06) #7. Transubstantiation (When Catholics take communion by eating the bread and drinking they wine, they believe the bread and wine transforms into Jesus' actual body and blood).
Allen Par states that for Protestants the eating of bread and drinking of wine during communion is consuming Jesus' body and blood symbolically, while Catholics believe they are consuming Jesus' actual body and blood. Allen Par is correct about what Catholics believe about Transubstantiation. He then displays the following scripture quote taken from John 6:56 (New Living Translation Bible) "Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him." The quoted scripture line doesn't say "Anyone who SYMBOLICALLY eats my flesh and drinks my blood..."
(7:44) Allen Par restates the original question "Are Catholics Christians?" and then says that it's not his job, or anyone else's job, to say who is a Christian or not. Because of this I'll answer the the question as follows: All Catholics are Christians. Not all Christians are Catholics.

The Septuagint was used extensively in the Near East by rabbis, and in the first century the apostles quoted prophecies from it in the books that became the New Testament. It was accepted as authoritative by the Jews of Alexandria and then by all Jews in Greek-speaking countries. Luther eliminated books because they held beliefs he didn't believe in.

I’m Catholic and I’ve never believed that you had to do the 7 steps to get to heaven. It’s God’s decision. I believe ppl have to have a relationship with God, try to sin less, and repent sins to get to heaven, no matter which religion they are. My church also doesn’t believe that only confession will give you forgiveness, it’s just a way to confess your sins to God. But you can also pray to God for forgiveness. Also, about the bread and blood... in my experience whenever I go up to receive communion, I feel the presence of Christ. It’s a warm, loving, amazing feeling that makes ppl cry tears of joy. I’ve seen ppl faint in my church, multiple times from being blessed while the Eucharist was exposed. Also, there was a case in Italy where the Eucharist literally turned into real flesh and blood and spelt over the altar in front of everyone attending that mass. It was documented a miracle. I’m not saying my religion is right, yours is wrong. I believe if you’re a believer and you love God, then that’s the way ❤️. I’m just saying my experiences within my church. God bless everyone.

It is sad to say that you elevate or value your experience and religion than what the Bible truly said about being a Christian. The true foundation of Christianity rests on the Scriptures (II Timothy 3:16), not on a specific religion nor experience. That said, it makes genuine Christianity apart and unpopular

      (1) The video's FIRST mistake is that there were individual congregational
churches growing for 300 years BEFORE the Roman Catholic church
      was even started.
      ---------------------
      (2) The video's second mistake is the preacher CLAIMS that evangelicals
believe that you are saved by grace alone - even implying that repentance
is the RESULT of your regeneration. However the PROBLEM with that is
even this preacher teaches (as most evangelicals do) that man can decide
to "accept" Christ and become saved. Of course the decision to "accept"
is clearly a "works gospel" and the doctrine of "accepting Christ" is not
found in ANY Scripture (if you disagree send chapter and verse).
      --------------------------
      (3) The preacher states that it is NOT the saint's job to decide who is a
christian or not. That is heresy. The church consists of BOTH saved
"wheat" sown by God and unsaved "tares" sown by Satan [Mat 13]
The Bible COMMANDS the saints to (a) identify the "tares" by their
"fruit" of bad behavior or false doctrines and (b) rebuke these people
(in case they are just an ignorant "babe" in Christ and not a tare) and
then (c) EXPEL all those who refuse to repent. So while this preacher
says that it's NOT our duty to decide who is a REAL Christian and who
is an unsaved tare of false teacher... the Bible say the OPPOSITE and
it COMMANDS us to do exactly what the preacher pretends we cannot.
      -----------------------------
      (4) It was always a MAJOR PART of the Bible that unsaved "tares" would
infiltrate the church of saved "wheat" and the "leaven" of their false doctrines
would corrupt the church - and eventually the entire Christian "Kingdom".
In fact, just read Revelation chapter 2 & 3 to see the extent of this corruption
before the end of 100AD... two hundred years BEFORE the Roman Catholic
church was even started. The fact that today MOST evangelical churches
(like this video) teach some form of false "works gospel" where people can
become saved by (a) saying a sinner's prayer or (b) by making an alter
call or by (c) repenting of your sins or (d) by "accepting" Christ or by
      (e) being baptized in water or (f) etc, etc,
      ----------------------------------
      (5) So... yes the Catholic church is a "Christian" church, it is just a
heretical christian church. Just like evangelical churches are all
"Christian" churches but MOST are heretical Christian churches.
      -------------------------------------
All this is the FULFILLMENT of the Gospel that unsaved "tares" would
infiltrate the church (being sown by Satan) is shown in the fact that
MOST of the evangelical churches are teaching a gospel that was
known as Semi-Pelagianism (and declared heresy by the early church)
and later known as Arminianism (declared heresy by most Reformers)
      ------------------------------------
However, there are TWO important facts to consider:
      (a) since Pentecost there have always been real saints (wheat/sheep)
who have preached the True Gospel and followed God's command to
EXPEL unsaved "tares" from their churches - but now, at the end,
there are few real saints (saved wheat/sheep) left on the earth.
      (b) there is a generation of Last Saints... the ones who never die and
are "changed" (at the resurrection) in the "twinkling of an eye. AND
these Last Saints preach Biblical mysteries which had remaine
"closed-up" and "sealed" since Daniel's time [Dan 12::4 and 12:8-10]
AND these Last Saints "shall see ALL these things", meaning the
fulfillment of ALL Great Tribulation prophecies [Mat 24:15 and 24:33]
AND these Last Saints "prophesy again" about these mysteries as the

As a student of church history, theology and practicing Lutheran, I feel like there's some pretty inaccurate info in here, including the idea that there was one church until Martin Luther and John Calvin came along (there was an entire period called the Great Schism in the 11th Century - 500 years before the Protestant Reformation), and the idea that the 66 books of the Bible are the ONLY divinely inspired books (those texts - manyof which the authorship is presumed but unknown). The Council of Nicea was - quite literally - called by Emperor Constantine as an editorial board to elect by debate which books would be included in canon in order to coalesce HUNDREDS of competing ecumenical doctrines into a single religion common throughout the Roman Empire. The apocrypha are not considered holy texts, per se, but they are used to help interpret the canonical books. The best evidence that the Bible is subject to interpretation is the fact that even today we have any number of English translations - from the KJV to the NIV, and many others. Not to mention Vatican II's official break with any kind of "salvation by works" theology. The modern Roman Catholic Church has accepted salvation by grace, but still holds good works as the duty of every Catholic.
As a mainstream Protestant, the thing I think is most important in whether we can say somebody shares our Christian beliefs is (i) belief in the trinitarian nature of God, (ii) following therefrom, belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, (iii) belief in salvation through grace/faith. Aftsr thise three things, it's all cupcakes and we're really just arguing over whether chocolate or rainbow sprinkles are better. Which is - quite frankly - a silly argument to have. I feel as at home spiritually in a Catholoc service or a Baptist service as I do in my home church because - ultimately - those three things are the only things that are important in this debate. You're highlighting differences in religion, while the most important thing is a shared faith. Whether a person believes in transubstantiation or participates in the Eucharist at all is a matter of religion alone; which has its roots in Greek meaning an action. Those are just differences in EXPRESSIONS of faith; not in the faith itself.

    • @racylaserjet
      @racylaserjet 3 года назад +19

Catholics do not call or consider the books apocryphal because they aren't. They are rightly called deutoricanical. Apoc in the Greek is hidden or unknown which the Deutoricanical books are not. Those books were in the Protestant KJV1611. Protestants should figure out when and why they were taken out. I'm not Catholic and can tell you that.

Are Christian just professing faith in Christ? NO! Christ said, "NOT everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, BUT he who DOES the WILL of My Father in heaven." (Matt. 7:21). This is the problem for many - OBEDIENCE to the commandments. When one is told to obey, he or she reacts "NO, don't tell me what to do, I'm a christian anyway. This and that what I want to do." Christ is best example of obedience. He obeyed to point of death (Philip
2:5-8). So we must follow what He says and don't just believe. STUDY WITH US IN THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO OR CHURCH OF CHRIST to know the will of God that should be obeyed to enter the kingdom of heaven. Thank you.

As a Catholic, I can say that there are a number of incorrect assumptions in here. For example, while we do have the hail Mary, or prayers referencing other saints, to day that Catholics believe that Mary or any other saint is at the same level as Jesus is incorrect. These are prayers for there intercession on our behalf. " Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death" is very different from "forgive us our sins". Saints are examples of what it means to live an exemplary life and now live eternally with Jesus, so we all for their guidance, but Jesus alone is our savior and salvation.
There are a number of things that the initial statement was fact, but then the follow up assumption was not quite right. It's an interesting conversation that it would be nice to see a priest on this channel having a dialogue on the differences and similarities, and they can ask each other questions, etc

In having a 'Personal relationship' & Personal Experiences with Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer we don't need a Man-made concept or 'Religion' to do so. Has nothing to do with us. Believe and call on the Lord Jesus. Build that relationship with Him and stop praying to or through dead people. Jesus never said to pray to His earthly mother. Why would we need to? Jesus desires to have a relationship with us and He is a jealous God. He does not want you praying to anyone but Him. The Bible makes that quite clear.

"closed-up" and "sealed" since Daniel's time [Dan 12::4 and 12:8-10]
AND these Last Saints "shall see ALL these things", meaning the
fulfillment of ALL Great Tribulation prophecies [Mat 24:15 and 24:33]
AND these Last Saints "prophesy again" about these mysteries as the
Seventh Trumpet "begins to sound" [Rev 10:7-11]
      ---------------------------------------
You can see some of the mysteries taught by the Last Saints at:

After the debates you see friendship and respect toward each other. Search for debates with some of these names…..Mitch Pacwa, Ken Samples, Walter Martin, Benedict Groschel, Scott Hahn, Peter Kreeft. I was baptized, took catechism, and still didn't really come to Christ till my 30's. Sad but true. Not enough emphasis was placed on my spiritual education.
"closed-up" and "sealed" since Daniel's time [Dan 12::4 and 12:8-10]
AND these Last Saints "shall see ALL these things", meaning the
fulfillment of ALL Great Tribulation prophecies [Mat 24:15 and 24:33]
AND these Last Saints "prophesy again" about these mysteries as the
Seventh Trumpet "begins to sound" [Rev 10:7-11]
      ---------------------------------------
You can see some of the mysteries taught by the Last Saints at:

Thank you.

    • @lslabsgto6632
      @lslabsgto6632 4 года назад

@Asaph Vapor It has been God's policy to teach His laws to obey them for obedience is a manifestation of love for God. He said, "...if you earnestly OBEY My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God" (Deut. 11:13). If anyone does not obey, "and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD..." (Deut. 11:28). Apostle John taught, "For this is the love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (I John 5:3). The Lord Jesus also taught, "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me" (John 14:21). So, He commanded to enter in Him to be saved (John 10:9). Entering in Him is by entering the flock (John 10:16) which is His Church (Matt. 16:18; Acts 20:28) - the Church Of Christ or IGLESIA NI CRISTO in Filipino. In this Church, you will learn God's pure gospel because a messenger of God was sent to preach His message. Thank you and God bless.

I’m a catholic and I never heard of anyone thinking Mary is at the same level of Jesus? We think she’s important, yes (I mean, you gotta have something different from the other regular people to be picked by God to have his son, no? Cmon now, I doubt he picked her name out of a hat or something lol), but she does not interfere with the holy trinity in any way? Also, about believing in the traditions of the church and the pope, the traditions come from the Bible? The Vatican is the institutionalization of the religion, meaning they simply make it uniform. If you go a Catholic Church in one state, you’ll hear the same thing in another one from another state, unlike in Protestant churches. The interpretations of the Bible can change quite a lot among pastors. The thing about “praying for the dead” sounded weird, ngl. Saints are notable people who lead good lives and did good, to the point of doing miracles, which is something a lot of regular televangelists claim to do? When we “praise” them, it’s about wanting to be like them, being inspired by them (like Mary). They’re not idols. Some people can take it to extremes, but that’s incorrect. And the wine and bread thing... Idk about that one, but I’ve always seen it as symbols as well?

    On a Catholic Christian Note:
I find this post misrepresentative of us. I felt that its just very judgemental. I am sorry. Please if you want to explain Catholic faith from your own view, you might as well research what we actually believe. Use Catechism of the Catholic Church.
    1) We believe that Faith is consisted of 3 Pillars (Word of God, Sacred Tradition, Church Magisterium (Authority)). When we say FAITH, what we mean is 3 Things: Believing, Trusting, Doing.
    2) We also believe that we can go to God directly, but he intended that through the Apostles (and their successors) we may be healed in our wounds with the Church. You see, we see sins as not contained within the person, it affects everyone especially the Church.
    3) Mary IS NEVER elevated to the same level as God. If you just take time an listen to what the words say, it came from the mouth of Angel Gabriel and St. Elizabeth through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:28, Luke 1:42, and Jame 5:16.
    4) Purgatory IS NOT forgiveness of sins. It is the remission of the punishment of sins already forgiven. What we mean by punishments are the wounds that we earn by them that makes us imperfect. We believe that we are cleansed and made perfect through the sacrifice and blood of Christ on the cross; we call this state of cleansing “Purgatory”. We could recall 1 Corinthians 3:15 that people could be saved but though they went through fire.
    5) The Catholic Church together with the Orthodox Church compiled the Bible (the oldest complete of which are Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus.
I pray that you may be forgiven for your transgression on us. I personally forgiven you.
May the Most Blessed Mary guide you towards her Son, Our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ.

"closed-up" and "sealed" since Daniel's time [Dan 12::4 and 12:8-10]
AND these Last Saints "shall see ALL these things", meaning the
fulfillment of ALL Great Tribulation prophecies [Mat 24:15 and 24:33]
AND these Last Saints "prophesy again" about these mysteries as the
Seventh Trumpet "begins to sound" [Rev 10:7-11]

Thank you.

I was taught in a private school at age 13 that Catholics were not Christians, informed that the group I had entered at 11 was protestant, and that, therefore, I was protestant. I had been in the j.w. cult from infancy till grade 3, and taught that Christians were heathens and were earmarked by "jehovah" for annihilation. I was an agnostic from age 8 till 11.
At about age 14, I was taught by seventh day adventists that Catholics are antichrist and told historical lies that there was a different church for 2000 years whose saints the Catholics killed for as long as Catholics have existed. They were represented as though they did everything the muslims have actually done to Catholics.
When I fasted and prayed, I'd often start to hear the HOLY SPIRIT defend the Catholic Church and would tell myself that I had something blocking me from hearing GOD correctly. Eventually, while writing a book against the Catholic Church, I had a miraculous change of heart that immediately put all my years of research into proper perspective, and I sought to become a Catholic, but it was 5 years, because I didn't know how to tell my mother and siblings who had been going through the same thing as me. We all converted together. They had been afraid I'd reject them if they became Catholic.

Why christening? Traditionally, parents held a christening for their new baby to mark the beginning of their upbringing in the Christian faith. It is not a baptism in the sense that an adult would have done, but this is a dedication to the faith-to Jesus. This is a presentation of a new life to the congregation and a time for family celebration.

St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, in the Third Century, invoked the Holy Father to do Infant Baptism, because he felt his falling away from Christ was due to his lack of Baptism. When one is unbaptized the devil has control of your soul. Infant Baptism has been in the church for 1700 years. It's Protestants who misdirected on that. Every Catholic renews their Baptismal vows once per year during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Protestants literally undid everything Christ established. Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist, Penance, Extreme Unction, Holy Orders and Matrimony are the Seven Sacraments of the Church. Without Baptism you cannot receive the Holy Ghost, and without Confirmation you cannot be a Soldier of Christ. Without Matrimony you will not persevere in marriage. Without the Holy Eucharist you'll be weak and unable to resist evil. Without Penance you'll stay in your sins.

My issue is that you had to use multiple "versions" of the Bible to cite solitary versus to "prove" your point but didn't do the same for the Catholic teaching. I suspect if you also used the passages that Catholics use for there teaching would be detrimental to your agenda. It would have been more difficult to completely miss the mark on Catholic teaching. I get it.. There's no way to share the true teaching of Catholicism and push your message.
I'm not trying to argue or convert anyone. Just challenge people to learn the true reason of other people's faith before comparing it anything else. Looking for a level playing field in analysis, that's all.

One thing conveniently left out was that the reformation also occured WITHIN the catholic church at EXACTLY the same time that Luther reformed outside. The people reforming from within were puzzled as to why he could create his own church.
Luther was also a man who embraced drunkeness and was known to be violently antisemetic (writing some of the worst peices of antisemetic literature in history which was cited by the third reich during the holocaust), he was also known to violently opress his followers who didn't agree with HIS interpretation of the bible despite his cause promoting self determination in interperating the scriptures.
I grew up a protestant and became catholic and can honestly say that a lot of this was covered up and we were told that he was a very honourable man. Seeing as the catholic church has unbroken lines to Peter, I am much more confident in the legitimacy of the catholic churches foundation over that of the protestant church in which I have highlighted.
The funny thing is too is that a lot of these mega churches are conducting themselves in very similar ways to that of the clergy to which Luther was protesting in that donations are seen as a form of penence, which subsecquently result in waelth for the church leaders who practice without the accountability which the catholic church has institutionalised.
We catholics consider protestants our fellow chrisitans, but believe that 30,000 diferent denominations isn't conjusive to being one body in christ as opposed to the catholic/universal community.
I'll close by saying that I feel closer to God now as a Roman Catholic than when I was baptist/pentacostal.

Good or bad, Luther made points that eventually became accepted by other people with critical thinking. It was not a serious institution whatsoever, but rather people wanting to know truth over dogma. From here, it makes sense many would keep the reformation going without neccesarily following Luther (like you said, he himself insulted those who interpreted things differently, which confirms that there were protestants who disagreed with some of his statements)

Hi, Allen! I appreciate the service to Christians you are working to provide. It contributes to the body of Christ. For your sake, and that of your listeners, I offer you some evidence that contradicts some of the points you make in this video or in the comments.
The church has always understood that God and our Lord Yehoshua gave it the mission of evangelizing for the purposes of leading souls into eternal life. That the church was given this commission and the authority to do so exists in many of the scriptures: Mt. 16:19, Mt. 28:16, 19-20, and so many others that are easy to find. As these and other verses show, the Lord chooses the apostles, appoints them for their work, and tells them their boundaries (essentially, they are boundless) and the resistance and opposition they will face.
The apostles knew they owned a limited time on Earth, therefore, they appointed their successors to continue what the Lord had set out for them, just as the apostles did when they added a replacement for the traitor, Judas Iscariot. Whatever commission and authority the apostles possessed is now possessed by their successors.
If the successors decided in their inspired wisdom to allow the baptism of infants via proxy, then such is permitted and does not contradict any scripture. That baptism is part of our salvation is made clear by the Word. I would reference the final chapter of Matthew again and Acts. 2:38, 40-41. Since baptism is for “the remission of sins” and a gateway to receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, clearly it is an essential component of salvation; it does not happen after salvation. Can a man or woman enter heaven with unremitted sin? Upon receiving the Word and being baptized, 3000 souls were added to the body of Christ to “save yourselves from this untoward generation.” Of course, as St. Paul warns us, salvation must be worked out with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12), knowing it is God that allows us to achieve it, but nothing by itself guarantees salvation, not even believing, because you cannot be only a hearer of the Word but a doer, James 1:23, and that takes a lifetime.
Your take on what constitutes the Canon of Scripture is, unfortunately, incorrect, however well-intended. The Canon of the Church, what today you call the Catholic Church, was set around A.D. 400. You might not like to hear this, but it was the Protestants who rebelled that created new traditions and set up a different canon. The principle that Christians should make sure no human tradition interferes with God’s Word is one with which we can all agree, however, it would be naive to think the Protestant churches have no traditions of their own that they’ve incorporated into their church life. One of the reasons there are so many fractured denominations in Protestantism is they all have different traditions and ideas about church practices and what God’s Word means. I’m probably not doing justice to the Catholic notion of Tradition, which does not have the same meaning as the common word, “tradition,” but I wanted to take a different tack. I would suggest to you that it is inaccurate to say the Apocrypha contradicts other parts of what you consider the canon of scripture. Rather, it contradicts the theological interpretations that various Protestant thinkers have superimposed on the Word of God.
There are other points where I felt you expounded incorrectly, but I will confine my thoughts to two.
You should take greater care than to say that “Mary was just a sinful woman just like you and I.”
Firstly, that statement is not scriptural. Nowhere does the scripture say that Mary was a sinful woman. Quite the contrary, the scripture states that Mary was “full of grace” or “highly favored”, that she “has found favor with God,” (Strong’s Concordance calls it “indued with special honor”), pronouncements of the angel called Gabriel, who vouched for his testimony when he asserted, “I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God.” Have you asked yourself whom Jesus got his blood from, without the shedding of which there is no forgiveness of sins? Did Jesus get his blood from his Father or his mother? It cannot be the Father, because He is spirit, and all who worship him must worship in spirit. Jesus is of the lineage, the bloodline, of David. Jesus must have David’s blood him, for he is the eternal King of Jacob. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! And from whence does Jesus get his human blood? He gets it from his mother. That is why the Catholic dogma of the Immaculate Conception is so necessary and so powerfully true. God extends his grace miraculously to Mary so that Jesus is conceived in perfection. Mary is no goddess to be worshiped, but she is the new, spiritual Eve, God is with her and was literally in her through the overshadowing of the Holy Ghost and through Christ. There may be some Catholics who take their love of Mary too far, and that is regrettable, but some Protestants have been inexcusable in the way they have spoken of and denigrated her, not for any scriptural reasons, but to oppose and ridicule the Catholic Church because it’s the thing to do when one wants to justify his or her own mistaken belief. A Protestant has no problem asking a fellow believer to intercede for him or her with prayer to the Lord, but if a Catholic asks Mary to “pray for us now and at the hour of our death,” it becomes apostasy, heresy, heathenism, idolatry, and any other religious, ad hominem descriptor a person can think of. Shameful!
Lastly, I believe in transubstantiation. I believe it because of St. John’s gospel, the sixth chapter. It is the acceptable way the Lord has provided to eat his flesh and drink his blood to begin one’s participation in eternal life. It’s one of the ways to have Christ in you. Catholics have a tendency to formulate complex philosophical statements to explain the Words and events of scripture, so I get it that it’s not easy to understand or accept. It’s like the doctrine of the Trinity, which I believe you do accept. I have never heard a clear explanation for three in one. The idea seems beyond human articulation. Yet Sacred Scripture says the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We baptize in their names, so they must be one and the same yet… distinct. Why do the Hebrews say, “The LORD our God is one LORD?” (Deut. 6:4). It’s fascinating to note that the term translated as “God” is actually the plural.
God bless you in the name of Jesus!

YOU: The apostles knew they owned a limited time on Earth, therefore, they appointed their successors to continue what the Lord had set out for them, just as the apostles did when they added a replacement for the traitor, Judas Iscariot.
*ME: The 120 disciples voting on the replacement of Judas in Acts 1, does not mean that the Apostles got to appoint their own successors -- you've already said that it is GOD that assigns the role of Apostle as a Holy Spirit GIFT (1Corinth 12), men in the church have nothing to do with it.* The example is Apostle Paul -- who was called by GOD, given the Holy Spirit gift of Apostle by GOD, and who started preaching immediately -- without any confirmation or appoint by men in the church -- see Acts 9.
*Besides, to be a successor of an Apostle means that the successor IS AN APOSTLE. Jesus instructed Peter to be a traveling Apostle preaching the Gospel of Savior Jesus to the lost unbelieving Jews to get them saved* (Matthew 10:5-6, Galatians 2:7-9, Luke 22:28-30, Mark 16:15-16, etc) -- *and that is what Peter did -- Acts 2, Acts 3, Acts 4, Acts 10:38-43, etc.* Soooo.... any successor of Peter's would also have to be a traveling preacher taking the Gospel to the unbelieving Jews -- the Roman popes are NOT successors of the APOSTLE Peter.
An APOSTLE is "someone sent out with a message".
An APOSTLE of Christ is a traveling preacher with the message of the Gospel of Christ.
And APOSTLE is preaching to the LOST UN-believers to get them saved (Rom 10:9-17, Rom 1:16)
And APOSTLE is not a shepherd over the Believers in the church.
APOSTLE to the unbelievers and shepherd in the church of believers are two different church offices/ministries (1Corinth 12:27-30).

YOU: Lastly, I believe in transubstantiation. I believe it because of St. John’s gospel, the sixth chapter.
*ME: FIRST:: If Jewish Jesus (Galatians 4:4) was telling the Jews to disobey GOD's command in Leviticus 17:10-11* -- never drink the blood of the sin sacrifice because the sacrificed blood is only to go on the altar for the forgiveness of sins, Hebrews 9:12,26,28 -- *and YOU are right that Jesus was telling the Jews to drink Jesus' actual sacrificed blood in John 6, then Jesus was a sinner according to Jesus himself in Matthew 5:19-20.*
*SECOND:: Jesus tells you HOW to partake of the "bread from Heaven that gives Eternal Life" in John 6:34-36 -- Jesus says to BELIEVE IN HIM, not to eat Jesus' actual flesh.* (John 6:63)
*THIRD:: Jesus says that anything that you PHYSICALLY consume, just becomes shite in the toilet -- Matthew 15:17.* What you PHYSICALLY consume can not make you evil -- and by that same token, can not make you clean/righteous.
*FOURTH:: The elements of the Passover Meal* (lamb, unleavened striped/pierced bread, bitter herbs, etc). *symbolized the suffering and death of the Jewish Messiah to defeat death -- the lamb did not magically turn into Messiah's actual flesh when the Jews ate it.* (even Jesus ate the Passover lamb)
Jesus FULFILLED the elements of the Passover Meal by his suffering and death on the wooden cross that defeated Death (Hebrews 2:14).
*Therefore, Jesus started a new Victory Meal of leavened bread and wine that would now symbolized the victory of Messiah's death/shed blood on the cross* (Hebrews 10:10,14, 2Corinth 5:21, Galatians 3:13, John 12:31-33, 1Peter 2:24, etc).
Why would Jewish Jesus and his Jewish Apostles ( that understood the Passover Meal only symbolized the Messiah's suffering/death) think that the elements of the Communion Meal did not symbolize the Messiah's suffering/death ?? When Jesus says "this is my body" its the same as the lamb of the Passover Meal also being "this is my body" -- John 1:29.
*Transubstantiation was never taught by the Original Jewish Church (Acts 15:20) -- *it is the pagan doctrine of drinking sacrificed blood which is an abomination to GOD* (Revelation 17:4-6) *that was added by the evil church leadership that came AFTER the Apostles/Original Church -- see Acts 20:29-30.*

    1. Yes that is true. You cannot be lukewarm about your faith and must actively serve God in your life.
    2. The Pope and the Cathechism are not on the same level as the Bible. The Bible overrides the Popes teachings in case of a corrupt Pope. For a comparison, the Bible is the supreme law of the Catholic Church as the Constitution is of the United States. And we only add 7 books, not 14.
    3. Confession is not the only way to confess sins, there is also repentance, prayer (only for venial sins), and a few other ways. The priest is simply a "portal" to Jesus. He forgets (or tries to) about your sins immediatly after they are confessed and if he hasn't, he may never speak of your sins. Mary is not on the same level as Jesus, nor was she a sinful woman, as the Bible states she was without sin. She is venerated, but not worshipped.
    4. This may be a disappointing one, but not everyone is ready to immediately see God.
    5. Prayers for those in purgatory only help them if they accept it, and are not required to get to Heaven.
    6. These prayers are simply messages to the Saints in honor of them or asking for them to pray for you. No, we do not pray to them in worship.
    7. Is the bread and wine at Communion the actual Body and Blood of Jesus Christ? The answer is yes. It is not a symbol, nor does the scripture say that; you are indeed literally eating of Jesus' flesh and drinking of Jesus' blood.
Edit: Allen's comment: Catholics do baptise babies as it is required to receive any of the other sacraments, but does not guarantee salvation nor prevent salvation from the unbaptised.

Hi. Great job you have done here. The Eucharist used to be and sometimes is still a doubt to me as it is odd to think of eating flesh and drinking blood. And thats why some of the followers out there has left after those words - "I say onto you if you would not be eating flesh nor drinking blood of Son of Men you can't be saved". This is confusing and so that happened - guys just gone. And actually - Martin Luther did and the main Luteran Church still keeps the tradition of Holy Eucharist. May God be with You. :)

This was in John 6, 48-58. There are some interesting dynamics in these teachings out here. First Jesus says that who believes in Him has the eternal life. But then it is starting - I am the Bread Father has sent, but also that the manna was not the real bread, so He denies the food itself as being lets say holy but also He emphasise the neccesity of real consumption of his body and blood. Maybe I am not that clear in my writings.. So we in the same time have to EAT and believe in what we really eat - when we believe in what we eat (such an odd and strange and unusual idea) we have eternal life. This argument He has there with Jews is fully soaked with conceptions. It Is so dynamic and deep I cant even breathe.. :)

@@judiw2045 But how is it you go about discerning that this particular instance is not literal? We have scripture, where early followers of Christ showed MAJOR reservations to the principle of the "real presence of Christ" in the Eucharist and Christ was given multiple instances to say "this is not literal, Do this a symbol etc." yet he NEVER did it. He explicitly and emphatically said multiple times "this is my body, this is my blood." This is where protestants just are ignorant. Because they come from an ideology of sola scriptura, then make huge inferences, and huge mental gymnastics to perform eisegesis rather than exegesis. You can't have it both ways. I have a friend that tries to say because when we put consecrated bread under a microscope, we cannot see anything that confirms its jesus' body or flesh from a scientific standpoint that the real presence does not exist. Well Jesus says that when baptized people have a washing/renewing of the spirit that is not observable or provable by science either. Does this mean Jesus lied? If Jesus Christ is divine and has the power to perform miracles that are unobservable and provable by the human eye or science, then has the power to accomplish what he says he can. You cannot isolate different aspects and say well Jesus can do this when it pertains to Baptism, but cant do the same thing when it comes to the real presence of himself in the eucharist. Matthew 13:10-16 10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’ 16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

Mass is only one aspect, in fact we have DAILY mass you can attend, plus adoration and all kinds of other stuff.
Catholic worship is very rhythmic, just like our heartbeats, and the seasons that God has set in motion. It is far from routine, mass is extremely reverent.
Furthermore we also know and love Jesus, we just believe that one should go the extra mile since through true faith, the good works will be manifest. We keep traditions so as not to become complacent in our salvation.

@@spencer62321 Because God is not the god of the dead but of the living. Catholics believe saints are alive in Christ, in heaven. Also, the Bible tells us the prayers of the righteous are powerful. We are not righteous but the saints are. So we can ask them to pray for us. It is no different than asking your family member or your friend to pray for you. Revelation tells us that people are alive in heaven and they pray for us.

That we don't argue with other believers about theological menutia, unless it's huge like denying the divinity or atonement of Jesus.

I really am thankful that there is a comment like this here. Yes, no kingdom is strong when its people are divided. God asked - told, rather - us to be humble and respect each other. Sir Allen said something that is exactly from the Bible which is that it is God's job to separate the right and not, but it is our job as God's ambassadors to inform the other peopl about this. Unfortunately, most of them are offended and will reject us. They sometimes misinterpret it as picking a fight well in fact it is not. I still pray for ALL of God's people to set their paths in line with God. Peace to all😁

The devil wants us to argue, because the more we argue with each other, less time is spent on the people who have never heard about Jesus. *He was announced by Jibril (Gabriel) to Miriam (Mary).
*He is born of the Virgin Mary.
*He is only a human prophet, but the mightiest of all prophets of Islam.
*He did not die on the cross nor resurrected; according to them, the world was deceived.
*He is the Al-Masi (Messiah) and will come again at the end of the world. He'll then rule for 40 years then die.
I'm a Catholic christian living in the middle east and they have pamphlets in a lot of places like malls trying to convert people to Islam.

"closed-up" and "sealed" since Daniel's time [Dan 12::4 and 12:8-10]
AND these Last Saints "shall see ALL these things", meaning the
fulfillment of ALL Great Tribulation prophecies [Mat 24:15 and 24:33]
AND these Last Saints "prophesy again" about these mysteries as the
Seventh Trumpet "begins to sound" [Rev 10:7-11]

In the late fourth Century the Catholic Church labeled the Gnostic writings apocryphal and canonized the writings of the Apostles as scripture.
In 2021 pastor Allen Parr rewrites history and calls the deuterocanonical books from the Old Testament apocryphal. He even gets the number of books wrong. There are seven of them not 14.
If you need proof of this history, look into the Gutenberg Bible. It was printed in 1451 before the Protestant movement even began. It includes all seven, not 14 of the deuterocanonical, not apocryphal books of the Old Testament.
The scariest part of this entire issue is that the pastor can get every single bit of this wrong and people will still call him a great pastor. He loses no credibility whatsoever. This is especially scary since he is a Christian pastor.
