Quick and to the point. When you're working on cars, ain't no body got time to sit around watching 10-20 minute videos. Yours is informative and straight to the point! Thank you. 😁
I had a slight bit of oil not a serious amount. High mileage issue. 5.7 hemi 2003. Inner engine worn high mileage use Lucas every other oil change it’ll help a wee bit. Try to keep it well lubricated and the fuel system well maintained.
I have car with the PCV output on the side of the block (with baffle and steal mesh) and input on the valve cover. Strange setup. This probably works with a good condition engine, but mine is high mileage and probably has more blow-by that overwhelms the stock PCV configuration. So I reversed the flow and put my breather filter on the block-side output (now the input) and ran from the valve cover to the intake manifold, which is the most common setup I've seen. I hope this helps others who have a strange PCV config on an old engine. Yes, I checked my shop manuals and Datsun DID intend for the output to be from the engine block, even though they have the breather pipe on the valve cover well boxed-in as if they intended on the reverse configuration. Very strange.
That line on the top of the rocker cover that goes to the fillter inintake line has wet oil through the lines and the entire turbo is covered in black oil
Goodday sir, i have corrola cunturcky rounder 1.6 full injector. I found more oil in the intake manifold. I did check the pcv valve it does not show any oil passing through the pcv pipe. When i check spark plugs, it indicate that it burning more oil thab normal. Again, the release bearing for the car is died, when i start the car it takes several seconds to start. After that the car start and die on the way after some few minutes . No acceleration, no power. I changed more than one petrol pump, stil the problem exist
my machanic wanted to clean out the oil in the mainifold but nissan told him its recommeded to buy new. This is after he replaced all sparkplug and 3rd coil. He didn't clean and I didn't buy knew. So he said with the oil that it may effect another problem in about 15000 miles. Any thoughts on fixing or just selling.
There aren’t any fuel or oil additives that will help remove the oil. The best way to remove oil from the intake manifold is to take it apart and clean it. Alternatively you can use sea foam spray to clean out the oil residue.
My guy please be a teacher with more explanations just go through the whole motor like a dictionary. You'd make so much on views. This is perfection. 🤌
I did a ls3 5.3 intake and fuel rail swap with shorty headers and is dumping gas with oil and i notice the old intake had a lot of oil any suggestions??? Thank you for the video
A PVC valve is not a PCV valve. You know what you are talking about but saying it wrong. Blow-by does not cause oil vapors, it causes gasoline vapors that condense and mix with the oil, but it does cause more pressure in the crank case. If there is an intercooler, an oil leak on the turbo bearing will go there or burn in exhaust prior to making it through the throttle body and in the intake.
And then there is a poor engine design like 3rd Gen Prius. PCV is down on the block. Toyota should have put an oil catch can standard on these models. When I opened mine up a few weeks ago, 122K, to do the EGR system clean I had an inch deep pool of oil right below the throttle body. The inside of the intake manifold was terrible. New PCV did nothing. Yesterday I installed an OCC. Sure wish I would have known about this ubiquitous problem when I bought it new.

PCV stands for positive crank case ventilation
Indeed it might just stand for that
Lol
"AND THE PVC VALVE STANDS FOR POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION"😂 Gets em Everytime...😅
He described it properly but kept saying pvc valve, but we knew what he meant
Got oil in the intake, checked pcv valve it rattles but as you mentioned maybe the spring going bad
Will replace it anyway
Thanks for the video
Thanks heaps, you are a champion sharing this bit of important but simple info! 👍

Beautifully presented and to the point. No waffle. I certainly will subscribe to your channel❤
Have you ever seen this on a old school big block where the intke manifold was cracked under the carb.
Definitely helpful buddy, thanks!!!
I have same issue, have to check pcv and turbo leak first.
My 2006 Isuzu KB250 is leaking oil on the EGR valves & is consuming engine oil, what could be causing this?
Thanks for the video but how do I know if it is the OVC valve or intake manifold?
i keep getting a po2135 tps sensor code & vehicle stalls out ( no accelerator) i think the pcv valve is suspect
I have a GM LM2 . I have oil in the inner cooler , the engine guns great. It has some blowby. Wgat do you think it is
I have 70000 miles on the LM2 engine
Head gasket

Had my motor changed now I got a hole in the right side of the manifold it idle crazy don't know what go in there

@@gavinpassanisi9531 you would recommend cleaning the lower intake? whats the best way to go about this?
@@gavinpassanisi9531 also the part of the motor that is dirty, would you clean that?
Changed PCV valve, still getting oil in the intake. Maybe a faulty one. Every time I clean it it doesn’t rattle or anything.
Piston rings.
Unfortunately my bmw has a built in pcv to valve cover 300-700$ later just for part 😢

You mean PCV 🤦🏻♂️
Everyone switches those to letters but still is better than saying cadillac comverter
😂
@@BlackandWhitecustoms😂
I know what it’s called, and I’ve googled it like a 1000 times over the years but PVC will still always come out of my mouth lol
Pvc is more common its famous cuz of plastic industry lol

Go back to stock. That was a waste of money.
Thank you sir. Very precise. Bless
Upper engine cleaner can help

Not easy in a 2004 fx4
IT IS PCV NOT PVC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah that got me mad to 😅
Same hahahah xD
How about oil in air filter
Most likely grimlins.
let's all say PCV valve and not PVC valve
Could this cause white smoke from the exhaust?
