They’ve been friends for a really long time so they have a natural chemistry & almost familial connection. They bounce off of each other’s commentary & thoughts really well
Yes!! I’m from the Bay and I’ve watched this episode about ten times; not just because Adrian is from the Bay; but also beside he has so much flavor. Todays episode (9-16-23) has a man from KC, and he spoke on how much talent there is in the Bay. The only podcast episode I’ve watched s as much as Adrians is the Drink Champs episode with Mr. Fab, Yukmouth, and Too Short; another great Bay Area representation.
J Valentine and Tank have proven time and time again that they are truly The Authority on All Things R&B. Another great episode and another deep dive into the artistry of r&b. Adrian was 🔥. Thanks for giving him the spotlight this week. See y’all next week 💸🫶🏾
I'm a voice actor, and I have been watching this podcast since the beginning. There are so many business conversations y'all have that I can 100% relate to, even though I'm not in the music business! I've actually learned business concepts that I'm implementing in my work...from hearing y'all talk!
Yoooo, I FELT you Tank when you said, "If you don't know about the Mint Factory" ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 my sentiments exactly!!! Nobody like Stokely🥰🥰🥰
I would love to see Ciara, Brandy, Big Bub, Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, RL from Next, Ginuwine, Missy Elliott, Khalani, Khalid, Ty Dollars Sign, and Angela Winbush
All I got to say is Tank and J are hilarious !!! The comedic timing is impeccable even when they aren't trying!! They are FUNNY! Authentically funny that Top 5 section was pure comedy!
Lmaooooo the fact that Adrian just right on the intro is crazy but shows how this is a family 😂😂😂. Top 5 amazing!!!! J. Valentine's jabs are there lol.
Tank & J Valentine, the R&B Money Podcast is definitely a sounding board that allows / gives other Artist the freedom and space to talk openly about their challenges & opportunities! #loveit
This brother Adrian is the real deal. I love how y’all bring artist on here and talk about different things dealing with R&B and being innovative. I would love to see India.Arie though keep up the good work.
My first time catching an R&B Money podcast. A lot of inspiration in this interview. My favorite thing Adrian Marcel said is “There’s not a date to this destination””. I’ve heard “it’s not the destination it’s the journey” but sometimes even that can feel like, “yes the journey is cool but I need to get there by a certain time” as if what I’m called to do has an expiration date. This is a great reminder that it doesn’t. I respect his hustle mentality and the fact that he’s still keeping his dream alive and repping the bay while doing it. I’m gonna need for those 100 songs to roll out a little faster though haha.
I LOVE ME SOME ADRIAN MARCEL This was a treat! His live performances are dope and all his releases are fantastic. Great interview. Such a nice guy as well. Saw him twice at SOB'S in NYC.
I am from the east coast and always loved the r&bay sound thanks to the valentine himself. So excited for Adrian to keep pushing it and definitely waiting for the full return of j. Great episode as always fellas 🎶 @ r&b money podcast
You guys do a great job of choosing guests who, although they might not be a household name to those of us who aren’t in the industry, are entertaining and informative!
I'm so happy you represent the bay with a lot of people around the state the country think the bay is LA and it's completely different keep doing what you doing we watching
This young man's couch conversation was and still is one of the BEST informational lessons to date. If resilience was human, he is the epitome of it. Great knowing that Tank and J are in his mentor list and hoping to see more from him in the future. Now that I've subscribed to his channel, this oldHER one will go looking for THAT song 😂. R & B Money Podcast supporter for life!!
Watching Adrian on here brought back a fond memory . I remember myself an my God sister walking into a restaurant or store in the Bay , it’s 2013 , we’re both like 18/19 at the time and this man was selling Adrian Marcel 7 days of Weak mixtapes for like $5. I’m talking really giving my guys discography so that we knew who it was we were about to listen to . & My heart is always in a place of support so i bought it & listened to it.. I’ve been a fan ever since . Of himself and Jane Handcock . This episode makes my heart warm 🌞
I had to stop and watch this episode w/ Adrian Marcel. This man is sooo gifted * and can SANG! I do feel he needs that 1 ballad that connects and tugs at our emotions ( male or female). I’m a Texas girl who’s been rocking w/ him since 2am hit. Looking like one of the offspring of The DeBarge Family or Chris Brown 😉.
R&B Money Podcast👏❤👏❤ EVERY Sat a MUST SEE💯 And we got the 🎹 back for Top 5. Tank and his Hilarious 😂 self. Adrian Marcel does the damn thing and so glad he gave props to Stokley is so the Truth...especially live!🎙🎶🕺 Another Great interview👍
Again watching the R & B Money podcast, I met an artist I hadn’t heard of. A talented man, and now I will be following his career. P.S. I’m from Chicago I know a ………..story when I hear it😂😂😂😂
"Some people think the date is bigger than the destination. The destination is what matters doesn't matter when you get there..." TALK THAT TALK SIR WHEW THAT'S SO GOOD TO ME
Adrian has a lot of heart. Advice to him...take His R & Bey vision to the gaming world. The gaming industry. Get his deal with metaverse. He will wreck shop. That is a lane wide open for him to capitalize. He can takeover. Vision always has a landscape to permeate. ❤
Such powerful words and insight coming from a young man. Life will teach you some great lessons and it’s up to the individual to learn from them and use them in a positive way moving forward. WONDERFUL conversation!🥰❤️🙌🏽🙏🏽
I could never get thru this podcast smoothly lol I'm always rewinding and pausing jotting down notes. Salute to the California native Adrian I respect the hardwork and grind this man been putting in and all the knowledge he blessing us with. #1 music podcast not even close 🔥🔥🔥
I watch every episode these artists on this platform tell you stories about their ups and downs and how they survived in the industry and I also check out their music R&B Money Podcast is a great podcast Tank and J Valentine keep r&b alive
Literally, the best rendition of "Top 5" to date 👏🏾👏🏾 I love when Tanks passion shines through conversations, when he's talking about Babyface though 🙌🏾 I Love when he talking R&B, Unc be FEELING IT! I Love Mr. Marcels accent, he's one of those people who is just COOL. I love when people just click, I know not one song of his, but this interview has piqued my interest!
This was a beautiful episode. Love what this podcast has become & still tapped in & goin up. This dynamic is unmatched 💯 BigLove to the fellas & the squad setting & holding the standard on *R&BMoney* #AllThingsRnB 🥰🫶🏽♾️
This podcast has made me want to take up residence in the Bay, the talent, sheesh! Another great one learning new info about an artist that doesn’t get their due.
Dropping gems again. A lot of people who want to get in are on the outside looking in, so it’s intriguing to hear the “how to” stories of some of the now foundational figures. The gag is…these stories are so different except that some of the beginning interviewees are so connected. It’s almost like you need to penetrate this circle of pioneers, but they were formed formed from a different cloth. So the next group has to just forge ahead to produce the next batch of creators and that’s what everyone is doing, or trying to do. People are just putting it out there. Keep coming with those foundational stories. Jon Platt would be a great one. He’s Clarence Avant’s protege. Boy if y’all get that one…they don’t even know. We can’t see Zena’s cups clearly. What’s the second line?
Tank and J Valentine are a perfect match for a podcast like R&B Money
PERIODT!
Absolutely 💯
They’ve been friends for a really long time so they have a natural chemistry & almost familial connection. They bounce off of each other’s commentary & thoughts really well
