That is totally understandable! Moving can be a big change but there are a ton of things to do in Knoxville and the surrounding areas. If you like getting out in nature, there are a ton of hiking & biking trails and lakes to boat or kayak on. Also Knoxville has a ton of restaurants both chains and local places - some of my favorites are in Market Square in downtown Knoxville. For shows, Knoxville has the Tennessee Theatre and the Bijou! @@Joshinitup I’m not from Knoxville, (from Nashville area), but our oldest is going to be attending UT at Knox this Fall. It’s a beautiful area! And, for what it’s worth, I’ve sure never seen or heard of the area being considered a racist one. There are all kinds of kinds who live, work, and attend university in Knoxville. The fact that this question has to be asked makes me feel sad, though. Tennessee is a beautiful place with so many amazing people. There are certainly some areas, specifically small towns, where I wouldn’t recommend. Overall, though, I have only ever known kind, generous, hardworking folks of all different races, ethic backgrounds, and religions. ❤
