I used to do this with every update on my old Samsung phones. My S23 plus went nuts when I tried to clear the cache partition. I got a blue screen of death, then a message saying it was downloading something. It looked malicious, and the phone started overheating, what a nightmare. I figured out how to turn it off, and let it sit for a while. Seems to be OK, but NOT trying that again.
Good info & this will help sluggish phones. My S22 Ultra just rocks all day paired to my Watch 5 Pro. I reboot once a day & never had an issue to date.
Thank you!
I using google files to clear cache and it works very good yesterday it cleared 2 gb on my samsung tablet
It actually worked. Thank you .
Thank you 🙂
Am glad you posted this. I've been doing this since my old note. I usually tell people in forums like on FB. However, someone always jumps in saying, "no, you need to plug the usb cable in," which a Samsung tech told me is bogus.
I believe in some models it is required. My old A8 didn't need to be plugged in, but my current S21+ needs to be, else it just doesn't work
M52 5g user here. Yes, we need to plug usb cable in to enter recovery mode. Otherwise, it won't work.
plugging the cable worked on my S20, it never worked without the cable.
Perfect! Good reminder! Reset!
mine is running very fast without any problem thanks for the information 👍
Thank you for this informative short video.
Thank you 🙏
With every major update i factory reset my device that make it fast and smooth . With new optimization its is good 👍
Just subscribed!
Great video helpful bro thank you and you have subscriber with you 🎉
Thanks, Jimmy.
I was doing this on my previous S20 with the type-C headset, but now, with my S23U I can do it without the headphones!
😊
Right!? That's good
@@SamsungInAMinute Hello, jimmy.
Would you help me please 🙏
I tied this method over & over to clear cache on my S23U , but it doesn’t even work or reboot the main menu?!
@@omarmaamouriIt should work exactly as shown in the video, but if you can't boot into the recovery menu, try plugging in type-c headphones or plug the phone into your computer and then repeat the same steps
Not true. You need to connect a cable.
No issues so far, but thanks for the knowledge.
Why do you have repair apps at the bottom of the menu? I've never seen that option in my menu? 😮 What exactly does it do? Can you make a video on it?
Note: If you cannot boot into the Recovery Menu, you need to plug a USB-C cable into the phone and try to boot into the recovery menu again
ok so I have a note 10 but its left handed the volume buttons and power button are on the left. I tried it but it didnt work. the phone just rebooted back to normal. Assistance
After finish repoot its will delete everything i save it on phone or keep as same befor
I do this after each major update. I have to use a thumb drive connected through a usb c adapter. Otherwise, it won't work. (S21U)
It'll automatically get deleted after the next update. When you update your galaxy, the previously saved cache files will get deleted
Are you confirm about it?
Are you confirm about it?
Its not
@@JH-666 it will
@asifnawazbhatti @Groose_McLoose
Pretty sure it'll get deleted.
Reason : after I update to a major OS upgrade usually the storage usage will get increased by few GBs. Then after the next security patch update, the used storages by the previous upgrade gets released. So it'll probably clear the update files when you install the next update
I’m getting a completely different screen when I do this, it says something about installing some software, I have a S24U
Usb c headphones didn't work had to plug in to the computer again. With s23 ultra
How can I do this with my Note 10+?
I wish they could natively bring an option to bring a clear cache data button right now. I use a 3ʳᵈ party application to get rid of my cache data
Can u plz mention which app u use to clear the cache memory?
@rinakkan9269 (AppMgrⅢ) it is meant to be an SD card app, but it has a clear cache data feature, which is why I use it, and it works, but I still prefer the 1ˢᵗparty way to exist
@@rinakkan9269
Avast Security & Virus Cleaner or similar. There's free or paid versions.
But yes had trouble on S22 Ultra extremely slow on downloads ...took 2 + days....finally after talking to Tmobile and Samsung about extreme download timez and playing with my connection settings did a factory rest which worked but maybe cache partion clearing should have been tried
😊
My phone went nuts when I did this. Got a scary teal green screen wanting to download something. I don’t know what happened. I was able to turn the phone off and back on, but am worried what happened???
If yours doesn't work, just plug into your type C port. Like to a computer or type c headset. It'll work then. Don't know why mine works without it. Maybe cause it's unlocked or I'm on a beta.
Can you share your lock screen wallpaper
Yes, it works only of we connect USB cable via tab or laptop
Known about this for a while back, but never was able to get it to work on my A53 5G until now when you said to plug it into a computer, while it works every time on my other Samsung phone without plugging it into a computer.
Mine give me this error [PDP] Back-up : fail setup-wizard [ FINISH ] when connected with usb c to headset and I tried also connected to other phone
..but still same error
My s22 ultra had plug in to something as well. I think it's too do with the country your in I think
I tried it twice and even used USB c but still it doesn't bring me to recovery menu it just unlocks the phone what is the issue?
Should you do this more than once? I completed this task..removing the cache partition..but there still seems a slight "delay" when I tap buttons or any apps.
I clear it about 3 times then reboot. BTW do you have a flagship or a budget phone?
I have a pic saved on my phones hard drive. I saved the same pic on to my SD card for my phone. I went to delete the previous pic from my hard drive since I saved it to my SD card. When I delete the pic from the hard drive, it also deletes the same pic from my SD card. I have a Samsung s20 fe I just recently got and can not figure out how to fix this matter. None of my other phones did this.
I am in the same scenario! Doesn't make sense
I have unlocked s23 ultra from Australia. Whenever I try to enter into recovery mode by pressing power button and volume up button my cell just restarts doesn't go into DOS mode. Doesn't anyone know how to enter into recov mode without connecting to a laptop.
P.S. I have tried it by attaching type c head phones.... Didn't work for me
Connect to the pc or laptop then do the process
I think this was removed unless it's connected to a computer I could never get this to work after s21 series.
Hai bro can you plz share the wallpaper link which you have used in this video link.
👍👍👍
Please maybe edit this to note that some models require you to plug the USB cable in to allow you to boot into this mode. Otherwise many will be wondering why it is not working on their device. It used to work on earlier models without a cable, but I have an A52S 5G and it requires a USB cable to be plugged into the phone to boot into this mode for some reason and I had to research it, which took time before I got it work. My Samsung A8 did it without a cable. Go Figure? Samsung , please stop messing about and keep things uniform, it is just confusing users and they already have enough new "features" to deal with every 6 months as it is! and when is Android 22 coming out by the way and Is it called Sticky Mud Pudding? Oh hang on I just got another update ........, but I only got one a week ago............sigh....my life has become updates. Update the phone, my apps, the TV, the bloody toaster.....
@SamsungInAMinute : should we also do this on our Samsung tablets?
yes
I've an s23Ultra and it's been almost a month. I'm facing issues with the 200mp camera. It gives me blurry and pixelated images which shouldn't happen in the 200mp mode. I've tried it in various light conditions as well.
P.S. : I've already deleted cache data. Tried resetting the camera settings. My phone is updated to the latest version (june) as well.
Dumb suggestion as I was having something similar have you cleaned all the lenses?
@@armandogomez2677 ofcourse
It will get better after other update
@@akagetobimaru1994 but other devices with the same updates are giving better results
Best advice: get an iPhone lol
I cant enter that recovery screen, I have new samsung galaxy s23 ultra.
Why do my s23 plus does not have the android recover screen? I pressed both power and volume up button but it would just start the phone back..
Connect the phone to any laptop or desktop or any other mobile via USB then try same thing
@@mohdmohiuddinahmed1394can I plug the charger in and will it work?
mine only boots into this mode when its connected to a pc 🤔
Yes
No my screenshot is by navstar module with screenshot button lol
I was told when i got this ph i had to go into each app to clear cache
Hello. if you can help me? I did a factory reset, I changed the melody only for SMS in the notifications, but all programs received this melody. Now I go into all the programs one by one and change the tunes. Such a thing has never happened. What did I do wrong? thanks
Watch from pakistan 🇵🇰 dude
Can I connect my phone to the charger while doing it? Cause I can't access this menu like yours.
Yes try it out. If not, plug it into a computer or laptop.
@@SamsungInAMinute ok
. Did it work with a charger?
@@ogoj2 nope
I have literally tried everything to boot into the recovery mode, I tried with a USB cable and got nothing, I tried without one and got nothing, my s23 ultra just turns on
Maybe press and hold the vol up longer and still let go of side key.
@@SamsungInAMinute I'll try that now
Still doesn't work, idk what I am doing wrong lol
i had the same, have to plug usb cable into pc to phone, with pc on then volume up and power button works to get into recovery. dont know if you got no pc👍
Have you got the solution. I have also the same issue. Mine 23 ultra also doesn't go into recovery mode.
didn’t work for me why
Try putting in the type c port on the bottom and try again
This did not worked for me. There is a step missing - you have to plug the phone to computer before doing the combinations key.
Nah press and hold volume up and power at the same time when turning it on
All android have had this menu for more then 15 years
Mine give me this error [PDP] Back-up : fail setup-wizard [ FINISH ] when connected with usb c to headset and I tried also connected to other phone
..but still same error
Same here any solution you got now?
@asifnawazbhatti nah...I gave up ....
Every time that I do this, my battery life get ruined.
Not even a month later, it is still not good.
i tried one million times and my phone doesn't go to the recovery mode, it just starts
Connect the phone to the PC with USB-C cable before turning on the phone.
@@tadeas6728 thanks bro
@@tadeas6728what if we don’t own a pc or laptop
My phone battery was draining considerably faster after the big June update. I wiped the cache partition and all is well now.
Ps. How did you get into Recovery Mode without connecting the phone to a computer. I thought Samsung changed it after Android 11 or 12 so that you had to be connected to a computer in order to get in to Recovery Mode. I'm confused
I know one thing, it’s hot where you’re at 🥵
Meanwhile i'm sitting here on my iphone doing nothing to optimize the phone and watching android videos about their cache problems
And on my S22 ULTRA I see all the IOS Problems after update that Fannyboys never talk about....sorta like how they oozed and ached their cartoon Sinking Island till they saw the battery drain under the ugly notch....and the Same stupid Design with the so so camera
