- Just a quick preview of what I'm up to. Reason being one of my speakers has decided to pack in after 14 years of use and my replacements won't be here until end of June :(
Its served me well creating over 3 albums and many more tracks worth of music.
The footage is real and is from the Hubble telescope. Incredible to think we are part of this wonderful universe. Thought it was quite fitting for the song :)
I'm gonna upload a bunch more incomplete tracks just to fill the time before they are officially released.

Been listening to your music for years, i remember encountering spirit of life more than 9 years ago and since than your music been with me constantly,
its kind of weird when i think about it, been listening to your stuff since high school, than when i joined the military would fall asleep with your playlist, kept me going after leaving the army, listening to "rain" and "miracle " on my way to work, at some point things got rough and my brother sadly passed away from the illness he was suffering after years of fighting , your music gets right to my heart, it never gets old for me and i really appreciate your work, thank you so much 🙌

Hey question about mixing;
Do you try to aim close to 0dbs on your mix-down or gain stage at around -6dbs and limit the rest on the master? Which has the best sounding results?
Ima try this later but input from a pro would be appreciated 😊
I’ve always aimed to get close to 0db as possible. Not tried limiting it.
I tend to leave the master free of plugins until the final mix. Find you have more control that way :)

Good question!
Without vocals I find the music can tell a more unbiased story. You decide what the music is telling you rather than the words.
Then you have vocal chops which work well cause again you can decide what is being said.
But personally I think songs with vocals work when the song itself asks for them.
Some songs I make sound complete without vocals and some are just screaming out for a voice :)

It doesn't matter how bad my day is going. Listening to your music Blackmill always lets me take a breath, relax, and remind myself that despite all the shit that might be going on there is still so much in this life that is beautiful and worth treasuring. The music simply reminds you that you are life. Life is easy. Living is hard. How easy is it to be? So easily overlooked but the source of all our joy. We are always being something. But our true nature is pure being. Being what exactly? Well that’s the mystery!
What I find helps in shit situations is to not overthink. Use thought as a tool. Like how to solve the situation at hand. Not to dwell on all the possible negative outcomes, even positive outcomes lead to disappointment if not met.
The music will help too, I’m sure you’ll like the next few coming up!

Ah man speakers broken :/, but just use a JBL bluetooth speaker m8, they're cheap and my friend has one and it sounds amazing!
