Normally I am in Hamburg 3 days a week for work but haven´t visited for over 3 months now. I know and photographed most of the spots you showed, thank you for this virtual visit to the city I am missing. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Great video. Probably the best I’ve ever seen from Hamburg. Fantastic photos - outstanding b-rolls. And I love your pronunciation of the German video. One thumb is not enough .....Greetz from 🇩🇪
I didnt know that Hamburg was a ghost town ! Did you lock everyone in their home ??? Hamburg seems a very beautiful city ! You have a very nice serie of photographs in this video !!! 6:11 car moving in reverse :p
So much potential with all of the lines at that subway station! Not the best light but I'd take overcast over bluebird skies if your shooting midday. Nice tour of Hamburg Greg!
Great episode, Hamburg brings back great memories from Keyframe. Lots I'd love to explore again if I could go there, while I am planning to be there for sure by 2023 i think? Apparently the TV Michael ( the TV tower antenna with viewing platform thingy) will open to the public again after many years. Also was wondering half the video what you were shooting on as the lens was hunting for your face constantly and then you said GH5, yes, that explains it. Admire your dedication for vloging with a gimbal, that is next level commitement, I know as i've shot a few this way, but stopped lately as it was too much taking away from the experience for me. Anyway, great vlog.
Joshua's Instagram page is unbelievably amazing...and you have given me a good lesson. When i was in Lisbon, Prague or Havana i throw on the 10-18 lens and off i go. On a trip to Rome and Venice i didn't even bring a lens longer than 130mm (i left my 55-250 at home). And here you are using a variety of lenses for urban photography. Thanks for he lesson master yoda!
Some great shots there - I think Hamburg's combination of the old and the new is so cool and I think this video captured that. I loved the portrait shot of the Der Spiegel building. I also had to laugh at the magazine cover overlay - here in the States it kind of feels like the end of the world on some days. I also had to laugh at your comment about 300 days of rain a year. Hey, great for long exposure photography...and puddle shots. :) Kudos for the video of the U-bahn leaving the platform at 4:05. Very cool movement in that shot.
I photographed the plumerias in my yard today. 😁 FYI you should get a Fahrrad to get around great way to see a city, I love doing it in London. I got the Limecube 2.0 and love it, I can control it with my phone so I can set it up away from the camera.
Hey, you where in the most beautiful city of the world, as we say in Hamburg! Thanks for the awesome video of some of our Hamburg locations! There is much more to explore in the harbour, Elbe and Alster!
great images Greg and the architecture looked way cool. Definitely would love to visit there and a few other places in Germany for the architectural images 👍
Last time I was in Hamburg the city was crowded because of Christmas fair but if you want to photograph many great cities in one place I suggest Miniatur Wunderland :-) that place is awesome.
Hamburg looks amazing at night! I really like that long exposure of the train during the evening. One of these days I'll need to check out Hamburg. I've only been in southern Germany so far - Stuttgart, Munich, and the area around Berchtesgaden!
Hi Greg, really cool that you shot in Hamburg finally. Interesting, I love this "intimate cityscape shot" at ~0:50 with the windows. Really a creative idea. The others have also turned out fantastic, of course. And hey, your German seems already to be far better than my poor English ;) Nice greetings from Austria, Christian
Christian!! Good to hear form you man. Yes I have photographed a lot in the city in the past and wasn't really too inspired until I saw Josh's IG feed. Then I thought yeah I need to go back. Glad I did too, it was a good shoot.
Thanks for the shoutout. I ask you all to ignore my akwardness 😂😂
Venice, Amsterdam and London combine mate 😉. Amazing shots in the amazing city of Hamburg!
Nice street work dude
🙏
Cool! First! Thanks for the video!
It was fun! Nice video Greg 💪

Oh, that smooth pan at 4:05... Another very enjoyable video with loads of great photos!
Loved the black and white long exposure of the Der Spiegel building.
Great video. Probably the best I’ve ever seen from Hamburg. Fantastic photos - outstanding b-rolls. And I love your pronunciation of the German video.

Really enjoyed the tour of Hamburg. Hope to visit sometime once this thing is over!
I enjoy wandering around cities to see the varied architecture, great for creative photography with the shapes, lines and textures
Me too. Especially in Europe.

Great pictures, an almost deserted city - what was most interesting.
True the Speicherstadt was empty at 10pm on a weekday. Strange but cool at the same time. Vanilla Sky eske.

Dude! That first black and white is crispy. Did you take any shots in the train station? I thought for sure you'd show some. Thanks for sharing. 🥂
I am so amazed at the empty streets and stations! Thanks for sharing the adventure. -Elaine J.
Elaine :) thanks for watching!

Great vlog, Greg. The empty city was a good palate for you to work with. Great architectural shots. Looking forward to checking out Josh's work too.

Yeah the Christmas Markets here are incredible. Thanks dude good shout.

Berchtesgaden is really nice too :) Love that area.
Don't forget Schloss Neuschwanstein! :) It's pretty cool (but touristy)
I hope I had this videos on Hamburg last year, when I visited the city! I'll have to come back now. 😊😊😊
Loved this and also last week’s virtual tour of Hamburg. Your photos are incredible! Looking forward to more.
Adrienne!! Thank you :) It's been good.
Will be happy to meet you at the photopia summit coming October
Really enjoyed seeing Hamburg City, Beautiful place. Loved the photos especially the train one near the end! Keep up the good work Greg 😃
Lisa!! Thank you :)
Really enjoyed the video, you were able to get some great images even though it was overcast. Hamburg is definitely a photographic city 📷😍
Großartige Eindrücke von Hamburg, dankeschön.😁
It's possible that many people will miss the great image at the end because of when the last ad drops. Your German certainly sounds better than mine.
This is good to know. Thanks Tony! I'll see if I can move it.
I loved these creative urban shots, nice job Greg!
Awsome video, really enjoyed it 👍
Vielen Dank.
I'm usually not into urban photography, but you got some really nice pics. Love the train with the light trails and that stairway at 8:03 is amazing.
Love Hamburg, gonna go back and take the mrs when I can. Can’t wait to hit the Hagen district! Some bangers in your shots mate! Nice 👍 Jase 🍻
Great photos, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers James!
I love the Red Jacket 😍 You're so good looking 😘
🤣👍😘
A present from an admirer?
The only bad and scary image was the orange comet crashing into planet earth in the Der Spiegel

Hamburg tourist information ought to pay you for this video Greg
Maybe one day. I do actually know someone who works for Hamburg Tourism :)
Great
great stuff.
Dave!! Thanks man.
Ich bin geblendet von diesem verdammt heißen Licht!
Just came across your channel and stopped in for a visit. New subscriber here, thank you. :)
I think I should go photograph Hamburg soon, lol
You'd be overwhelmed bro. Would take days to show you all the best spots. Don't even need good light either.
@@gregorsnell Let's plan something when the travel restrictions are gone! Sounds awesome!
Just taking time to appreciate that sexy smooth b-roll 👌👌
ooohhhhhhhhh yeah :) Get some!!!
What's your best city for photography in Europa? I also dig Sienna, Italy & Rome.
Copenhagen :-)
Definitely Porto and London, but Sienna ist also nice!
@@joshuaschwalbe2962 Porto eh. Nice I've never been to Porto. Good shout.
@@gregorsnell Totally worth a visit! Very crowded, but beautiful city!
Edinburgh 😍
The canon clips coloring are much better than the gh5 clips. Unless you did that on purpose it looked so washed out with no contrast
Midnight sun in Hamburg? Not going to happen.
