    What if you change the forward collision sensitivity to near?

    You have the forward distance set to "far" change that to "Near" way less chiming!!

    How about setting the forward collision sensitivity to "near". Seems to me that would help your problem unless I've got it backwards.

      It was set to near when she was having the trouble (see the screen at the beginning of that segment). She set it to far to test that, we just edited that part out because it didn't resolve the issue.

    I can relate. However, I was surprised to hear a sudden warning beep when a vehicle ahead of me was braking hard on the freeway one time. The second time i wasn't paying attention to notice the commute infront was at a snail pace right ahead of me heading forward it beeped regardless with my "voice" warning prompt off or collition or maybe the highway is mandatory. It still beeps and with a faster frequency to it and I'm glad it did on both occasions. I have yet to hear voice command or beep or any of that that in the city commute either way, good review. Good call 💦

    I am pretty much over all these new safety systems. They are extremely annoying and distracting! You need rear cross traffic, and a backup camera. That is it. The reason BSM is a thing is because they have focused so heavily on MPG that they've taken away good mirrors and in many cases have poor visibility as well.

    Keep the forward collision warning in the near setting or even medium and that should be acting much better then the far setting if it’s that sensitive.

      I know it’s different sensitivity with every brand. My Mazda 3 has a good sensitiveness with the collision warning and auto brake, Hondas as well has it pretty good and most GM vehicles too. Maybe for Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Chrysler it’s more sensitive on certain models they have no matter what setting it’s at.

    6:30 ❤safety system will prompt you via beep without the voice prompt as you called it voice s**t . The system will definately warn you at higher speed outside the city limit and sudden potential collition. There are options to choose but i suspect it will warn at a set speed.

    I’m searching for a good Compass. My preference is the High Altitude Trim but it’s pricey. If this jeep can handle Chicago’s raggedy streets it’s a go. If this is a great city car and the warning systems are sensitive, in a city like Chicago that sounds highly annoying because Chicago is congested and drivers are CONSTANTLY cutting you off and in close proximity.
    But I plan to do some long distance cross country driving. Now I’m reconsidering.

      Here in the US we don't use collective nouns. Typing/saying things like "Jeep are" is quite annoying. Hearing phrases like "Jeep are working on a new model" makes my skin crawl! Jeep "ARE" not doing anything. The EMPLOYEES of Jeep are (well, maybe not- this is an American automobile manufacturing company, so they're probably not doing much of anything). Jeep itself is a SINGULAR ENTITY. For a country that invented the English language, y'all sure don't speak it very well. LOL

    Buy it in Europe - kidding, but for a reason - . We have it in a 1.3 turbo, 1.3 hybrid, 1.5 mild hybrid, which are much better regarding gas millage . Still no record braking (it ´s a 1.5 ton car with a "new" efficient engine , "GSE") but much better (realistic in my 1.3 T petrol: from 31 MPG (road), to 25 MPG in normal driving. The less I got is 23 MPG in aggressive city driving. I bet the Hybrid will be better) . The warning systems (and almost all of the rest) are exactly the same. By the way: you can set the warning to "close" (you have in "far") so that it doesn't start "beeping" all the time. I did a road trip in the US this summer and realized that most of the people still go by the "displacement" old school sayings, with no reason whatsoever. In nowadays there is "replacement for displacement", its called "Turbo" and many other tech that can increase the efficiency of a ICE engine , you just have to understand what's behind all of the "good" tech. The 1.3 Turbo (mine) is much, much enjoyable to drive then the 2.4 normal aspirated engine, no comparison, and enormously more fuel efficient! PS: It's a great car, don't doubt it.

    Fuel economy varies too from each and every neck of the woods per se. Some cities grind, and some don't. The minds eye extrapulates the gravity hill effect, in that a place where a slight downhill slope appears to be an uphill slope due to the layout of the surrounding land, creating the optical illusion that water/ coin flows/ rolls uphill or that a car left out of gear will roll uphill, this is the best way to paraphrase it virtually. Some will get better milage out of these forces interacting with the motor(s). Factors like the speed of the traffic plus the geographical tilt around you, the topography in your region is a clue. Since the average mind's eyesight wasn't constructed for predicting the best horsepower out of a moving combustion engine. Milage recalibration from traveling down on a steep incline on a long long road trip will give you a false sense of lack of speed, but in reality, the momentum is steadily increasing with less power/torque. Good review overall.

    • @ihop4no14
      @ihop4no14 Год назад

      Yeah, no. Things that "force" me to slow my roll end up frustrating me to where I over compensate by driving faster when I get around a slow-poke driver or congestion. So like Jill says, it's difficult to change one's driving style. I've made it this long without anything other than a fender bender, so why change now.
