Just imagine what could have happened if Over the Edge 1999 had ended after the incident that made this PPV infamous, or at the very least not have the WWF Championship between Taker and Austin go on. It would have been very easy to try and forget about this PPV. But Over the Edge 1999 will always be a part of WWE history because it's biggest title changed hands on the same night as what made said PPV notorious.
They could have done that same match 8 days later at RAW. Have the Owen RAW then a week later you could have done this instead of continuing the show that night.

However... it looks cool just having guys like the undertaker and the rock as a team and tag champions. Like its wacky, and just fresh. You don't have to be a real tag team to be tag champions just can you function. This is probably why matt riddle and randy ortons team worked so well with the fans, it was kind of wacky and just out there but it worked and looked cool. Would love for them to do this more often. Just make some top guys who you don't have plans for tag teams for a stint. They can still go after other belts it would just put them in matches and overall fun to look at

Undertaker didn't need a championships. The WWE Title is a prop. NOTHING MORE. Taker's character has enough bells & whistles attached to it that he was still headlining PPV without it.

He didn't need it but with all of those pointless tag team titles he won minus the ones he won with Kane he could've been in a storyline centered around the intercontinental title. Would've been nice to see at least one intercontinental title on his legendary resume.
Vince always considered taker as an “uppercard" talent while the intercontinental title was more for "midcarders". Even though he did win the tag titles but they more for putting his tag team partner at those times over with the crowd
I honestly think he needed almost every legend had won a IC title and be a Grand Slam champion expect of legends like The Undertaker,Hulk Hogan,John Cena,Andre The Giant and more even you can count other legends in an inferior level like Batista,Lesnar,Goldberg never won it but i think The Undertaker is the 1 who deserves it more and i think WWE make 1 of his worst decisions for never give him that title to be Grand Slam Champion
