    My conductivity probe on my Hydros x10 has been spot on…K10 factor probe meant for saltwater environment…if you use the iV, you can isolate it from electronics and pumps which can cause interference in results which is what the problem was with the orange and grey box company…key advice, the break in period of the conductivity probe is a month…THEN calibrate….also, make sure to use some alcohol to remove the manufacturer oil on probe before use…then you’re set!

    Appreciate Mark doing these Hydros videos given he has been a user of the other main controller for years. Always hard to try new things when you already know another. Pumped for a decent salinity probe from Hydros.

    In stark contrast to what Mark said, I have my RO/DI plumbed directly into my refugium. I DO NOT, however, depend on a float switch to turn it on and off. I use a tried and true float valve. It has never failed. I tend to change the float valve out every 5 years or so, just for good measure. 😊

    So is it accurate...? Unlike all of the others...

    Is this better than my garbage apex salinity probe?

      I’ve had mine for 3 months now. IMHO it’s not worth the purchase. Constantly drifts falls out of range. Save your money

    1.025sg = 33.18ppt not 35.
