  • Look who's back! Well sort of, as you all know my wife is going in for major surgery the 26th of this month and we have been dealing with our fair share of lemons. Fortunately, I think we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. We have not done any shows (save for one in our town recently) and the shows help fund our store. Due to my wife's illness and my own personal injuries, we just have not been able to produce like we did this previous year. Were slowly trying to build inventory for our two major shows this year, Our 4 day county fair and the walnut Valley Bluegrass festival. We are hoping that the dates are kind to us as shows are truly our favorite thing to do.
Later this year we are planning an out of states excursion for the family (I'm almost 40 and have never seen an ocean in person) So were going to hopefully set sail on an adventure around the equator.
This build featuring the Armadillo was inspired by my Boss, My Supervisor (Boss) at my regular 6-2 is really one of my better friends and recently stepped in an armadillo hole and hurt his leg, thus the inspiration for this build.
    Material (16 g Plate steel)
    Lincoln 180 Pro Mig
    Benchmark Abrasives
    Lincoln Welders
I have big plans for this coming summer, some different builds and will be revising and revisiting some old favorites now that I have more experience.
    Thanks all
    Chris

I love projects like this one. Some blacksmithing, some welding, mixed in with some creativity.

Thank you so much! That's my whole gig really there's hundreds of vids on making a hook but not many diverse projects. Don't get me wrong I love traditional in smiths and projects but they genre is saturated to the point of boredom now.

Nice looking critter, much better looking than the possums we are afflicted with up North. Always enjoy seeing your builds, thanks!

Bravo. If you turn those ears into claws, you'd have most of a lobster. FWIW. Cheers.

I love this! I live in Cincinnati, but I’m a native Texan. I think I need an armadillo in my garden. Do you have templates?

Great job on the armadillo! Is that 16 gauge steel?

Thank you so much and yes, I normally include materials list on the vid but a bit rusty.

Thank you so much and partially. The angle swage was a gift, the balls was my own designs and used for almost every project
