The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
    family.
Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

Hi Jenny! Someone from another channel told me to check you out to offer you hope! 2015 I was diagnosed with double lung cancer. I’m now a 5x double lung, lymph node, rib and brain cancer fighter/ survivor! 2015 I started off with 6 1/2 weeks of chemo and radiation. I waited 6 weeks then had double lung surgery. I had my upper lobe of my left lung removed and a wedge resection on my right lung! My left diaphragm had to be sacrificed along with my left vocal chord! I now have a prosthetic left vocal chord and can talk! 2016 cancer came back in right lung so I had sbrt radiation. 2017 cancer came back in right lung neat last spot so I had proton beam radiation! 2019 cancer was detected in a lymph node and right rib so I started chemotherapy and immunotherapy! 2020 while still doing immunotherapy I had a seizure and had a tumor in frontal lobe on the brain and had gamma knife radiation! Since then all scans have been stable while doing immunotherapy every 3 weeks! For immunotherapy they do genetic testing to check pdl’s to see if your compatible with certain types of immunotherapy drugs! If I’m not mistaken they like you to be 80% compatible. Only 1 drug “Keytruda” I was compatible with and that was only 35% compatibility but I had nothing to lose so I went with it! I only had a 2% chance of surviving 5 yrs after diagnosis and that was 8 yrs ago! I pray and hope the best for you! 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Jenny and Kyle, My sis had the pleurex drain and we found the secret to no pain, is to drain slowly. You will have a hand-held thingy to control how fast or slow the fluid comes out. If it starts to be painful (usually from the lung repositioning), you just slow it down or stop it for a minute. The hospital tends to do it very fast but at home you can control it and that is a good thing! Best of luck to you! Prayers always.....you got this!

As someone who has done a lot of research on targeted therapies (I am a chemist in the pharmaceutical field and my graduate research was along these lines) I am biased. While there are overlaps with immunotherapy - typically the mechanism of how it works is different. Additionally, targeted therapy can work really well for actionable mutations. I am sending you all of the positive thoughts and prayers - you are obviously a very strong person.
Also, thank you for sharing everything you do in your vlogs. For me the part that means the most is how clear it is that you are a person who has cancer, but that is only part of who you are - it doesn't define you. You are also a mom/wife/daughter/fashionista/fellow claustrophobian/ and more (the fashion runway always brings a smile - your kids are adorable).

Cancer and I mean ALL cancers are a metabolic disease not caused by gene mutations according to Dr. Thomas Seyfried. That is why Jenny's treatments are failing. That is way most cancer treatments fail. 97 percent of cancer patients are dead within 5 years of treatment . That is a terrible record and yet they keep doing the same chemo and radiation damaging treatments. You have to wonder WHY!!!????
Jenny needs to get off her vegan diet and start a very low carb diet and take a few very safe drugs that will reduce glutamine . This will starve the cancer cells.. ALL cancers use ONLY sugar and glutamine as fuel . Deprive the cancer cells of those two things you will starve the cancer out.
Go listen to Dr. Thomas Seyfried he has lots of video's on RUclips.
It makes me so sad to see people buying into the Big Pharma Cancer Cabal of crap. Their treatments are dangerous and most important they don't work. It' just make Big Pharma and doctors rich.
By the way it looks like many of the parasite drugs can help to kill cancer. Fenbendazole etc. Those drug (which are VERY safe) and a very low carb diet.

My mom was diagnosed 3 years ago with adenocarcinoma in lung. She had surgery but wouldn’t do chemo. It returned in brain a year ago this month. She had surgery again and then radiation and it had also returned in the lung. The oncologist did a targeted treatment I assume similar to what you will be starting. Within 3 months she had no cancer showing up anywhere on her pet scan. It worked very well on eliminating any sign of cancer. I’m only telling you this to maybe encourage you. I know it’s different for everyone but the med she was on worked wonders so I’m praying it does the same for you. She was 83 and unfortunately cancer was not the only thing she was dealing with and did pass away in December 2022 but it was not from the cancer! The last pet scan was still not showing any cancer so hopefully it does work for you! Much love and prayers being headed your way.

As a retired respiratory therapist watching your difficult journey w/sadness. The drainage system was designed to give you more control ,comfort and precious time to do it at home. As a cancer patient, I have found edible gummies with THC/CBG/CBD helpful for pain (daytime) and THC tincture sublingual 1-2 drops helpful for management of pain, sleep, anxiety management and appetite (night). I retired 2/2021 and was diagnosed with ovarian CA in 5/2021. Currently on chemotherapy again after I trial of immunotherapy which destroyed my thyroid....this disease sucks. I love the times I feel restored to some "normalcy", the THC gummies help a lot. Since you will be off your clinical trial, visit a dispensary its worth it. One foot in front of the other. The vitamin gummies of any kind is full of sugar.....sugar is a cancer feeder. You want to starve cancer cells not feed them. My issue with conventional doctors is they only stick a "band aid" over the wound....in other words they are treating the symptoms & not addressing the source of the problem.

As a former oncology nurse, I saw many folks have the pleurocaths placed, and it greatly increased quality of life for them. Some discomfort initially, but well tolerated after. It’s not nearly as invasive or as large as what they use for the “once and done” drainage tubes, but you won’t be draining off the large amounts of fluid at once. Smaller amounts at more frequent intervals is usually better tolerated. Having the drainage catheter in is a good thing if you think of it that way….fewer trips for drainage at the hospital, etc. reframe how you approach it. It makes it easier.mi know you can do this. You’ve already demonstrated your strength and resilience, even when giving into your doubts and fears sometimes.

I couldn't handle my grown children crying and my friends begging me, so I fought it. I love them all but their day to day living didn't change, mine did and it lacks quality due to the radiation destroying 18 inches of my intestines and they radiated through my stomach so now even eating is a lost enjoyment. I am keeping you in my prayers honey, you have a young family and they need you. Much blessings from Texas.

SO I am going to give you a little bit of HOPE ... there is a difference between having a drainage procedure done than having a constant catheter hooked up, The body gets adjusted to foreign things in your body and adjusts.. when you have a procedure done, your body almost goes into fight or flight mode! You having this catheter in your lung to drain will be good because you wont be putting yourself and your body in shock every month or so you have it drained. that's one thing to keep in mind. I hope this helps.

Hi Jenny. I've been following your story, just listening and praying for you. I felt compelled to comment today because of the catheter insertion. My brother has Stage 4 lung cancer - diagnosed October 2020. His I upper left lobe, inoperable due to location and vessels it is attached to. Anyway, he had brain mets, gamma knife, LITT procedure, radiation to the lung, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Last August the pleural effusion started. The chemo/immunotherapy stopped. It was a side effect of that. He had to have it drained and had the SAME excruciating pain you experience with the procedure. Watching you is like watching what he went through again. In any case, he eventually was hospitalized to have a procedure to biopsy his heart and lung wall tissue (don't remember the name of the surgery) to see if it came back cancer (up to that point the fluid was negative for cancer). Post operatively he had 3 drains - each lung and the sac around the heart were draining. He was like a new person with the drains in. He could breath and move and talk without exhaustion and difficulty. Long story short, he went home with 1 drain on the left lung (others removed before discharge). He was SO MUCH more comfortable with the drain rather than going in to have the thoracentesis every week. Eventually, the drain was removed and he hasn't had it since November - and NO MORE thoracentesis. He has the fluid checked regularly, but it hasn't returned. Everyone expected it to, but it didn't. All this to say - you just don't know what will happen, but that's okay. Pray that it's good. Pray that the good outweighs the bad. Whatever it takes - just keep that smile on your face. I pray for you daily.
