    Your wife is doing an OUTSTANDING job of making you look good. It is okay to let her be in one of your videos. She has earned it.

      O my days she is so talented. Don’t worry I'm making her a pair of black dress boots for our next video.

    This is really cool. Def start a 501c6 Trade Org to start getting in funds and sponsor apprentices through your local college. And with your film making go out each month and do a video on a Cobbler, Boot Company etc. And bug Sitchdown to get some of their guests lol...
    Love what you are doing and its super important to put fire into the next generation. Especially all the veterans who like to work with their hands and distain offices..

    Awesome story. Similar here. In about 2008 I told my wife I wanted to be a boot maker and she said well you better go make a pair of boots. So I conned Lee Miller in Austin into teaching me. LOL. Started Candela Boot Co. You use some really traditional methods, who did you learn from?

      Awesome man isn’t this like the best job ever. I was taught by Randy Merrill and Don Roundy. I try to stay close to tradition as close as I can but it’s hard saying no to the more modern materials.

      @@schmidts.bootmaker Lee Miller's first job was working for Randy before he moved to Austin and worked for Charlie Dunn. Small world is the bootmaking world. Your work looks awesome keep posting videos. I love watching boot makers work. I learn so many new things.

    I’ve got an old pair of whites packer boots. I’d like to have them rebuilt and customized. They belonged to my dad. We wear the same size. Interested?

    • @schmidts.bootmaker
      @schmidts.bootmaker  Год назад +1

      so I dont make boots like Whites so if I rebuild it it will be like one of my boots plus I charge more for my rebuilds than them too since its more work for me to do it.

    This guy is a crook. Two years ago he took my money for 2 pair of boots. Nothing but lies and empty promises about boots and refunds. Stau away from this crook.
