I sold my bass boat a few years ago. Went to an 20 hp tiller, built aluminum frame, and added a deck. Catch just as many fish and don’t use any gas. That boat had to go when pice of fishing went up. I didn’t use to mind breaking off a couple jigs, I just put a kid in collage. A good jig is easy 5$. Lures today has a pro line , technique specific, or tournament grade on the box. Ridiculous mark up. I just some supply’s to stat making skirts. Some things I’ll pay a little more for, I’m mostly best value for price. I need a trolling motor so I’ll wait for that video . Good luck on your worms. I always wanted to get a ice cream truck and sell bait at the ramp on tournament days lol
Enjoy the passion and honesty. I must be getting old, everything cost twice as much and is made 1/2 as good! I saved $260 this weekend. Didn’t spend $200 on entry for the BBB and didn’t buy a chad shad! Sounds like I was the only person not on LOZ over the weekend!
Back in late seventies I could walk along the roadside find a dozen or so pop bottles cash them in for 10c a piece and go buy a Rapala…. I still make a lot of my own baits, even some balsa baits but not like I used to. I’m a vintage guy and scope the flee markets and eBay for certain lures I can tune up.
In 1981 I could buy the original balsa devils horse for $1.25 cents and an ambassador 5000 for 30 bucks and a 10 pack of worms for a buck man I miss those days!
Yep i got a few glide baits. I dont throw em, or the rats,or the big swimbaits. Got me a moster jig, check them out DW made by missile baits. 15 dollars for a 1 oz jig,but its cool....
@oldschoolbassin yep , I was on a big bait kick, and bought a broom stick 711 xxhvy for the big rubber swimbaits with a beast hook wide gap screw lock, and it make s you feel like your 5 yrs old w dad's rod, over sized reel, tatula 300,and 65 lb braid.wears you out quick lobbing up to 7 oz lures .

@@mattthomen1608 Like Musky fishin'!
It's nuts! A dog gone hook cost a dollar or more! We are getting ripped off.
And there's the REAL deal.
Look for Kureha Seaguar Meister Flouro - less expensive.
I don't think I'm going to like the stuff at all. Thanks!
good time to start selling Glide bait Insurance
Man, THERE'S a thought!
Sixty dollars is not bad I have 300.00 hundred dollar Depp's 250s I'm old enough to afford things now I could never get when I was younger
That's awesome
What's ur favorite
I fish mainly at night my favorite is the Bonheur and the butch brown crappie would be a close second
Cool, but sixty bucks is still pretty bad.
