I love the painting by Cesar F. Balagot - what a fabulous explosion of colors - perhaps a musical work by Revueltas or Chavez would also complement this marvelous visual. Norgard certainly brings a terrific variety and creativity to his works. Too bad he doesn't gather some of the fragments of melodies into a more sustained panorama of song.
I agree about gathering the sounds together as you said in “a sustained song”.These days such a thing is a despised and/or ridiculed by the new practitioners .Ian
