    50 hrs? I bought an EU2000i when they first came out, about 20 years ago. I’ve run it 24/7 for several weeks straight each year. I’ve changed the oil maybe 3-4 times. The low oil alert works. Just add oil and it runs. These are rugged generators

      I like it! I’m all for less work. I’ll remember to worry less about how frequently I change the oil. I felt like 50 hours was excessive but that’s what service manuals typically suggest, over maintenance

    did you buy a diesel can as a theft deterrent?

      No, I bought it and originally put diesel in it for emergencies. With a 52 gallon tank in the truck I never needed the spare 5 gallons so I started using the diesel van for gas. I also have a 6 gallon outboard motor van filled with diesel for my diesel heater and that acts as my backup fuel for emergencies. Good question!
