Hi, is this a living willow fence? I was a bit unsure of the timescale here - did you leave the whips to root before starting to fasten them? I'm hoping to do something similar here - we're in Ireland so lots of willow!

Hi Sarah , yes a living Willow fence fingers crossed it grows. I just pushed the whips into the ground that is what I have read and seen on RUclips :) I am doing the same with Elder as well . I think that will be the next little film :)

@@stpetersfarmhouseThanks - I've grown some willow from whips but am hoping to create a fence to keep the hens out of my veg garden! It'll be a long term project but hopefully worth it.

@@sarahcrooks6780 There is this very nice book , Living Willow Sculpture by Jon Warnes Published by Search Press. It is a very short book like a magazine a 30 minute read , lots of nice pictures . My neighbour lent it to me and then I found one on eBay for £5 including postage . All the very best from Suffolk

Hi there , thanks so much , yes your best bet might be ebay There are people selling Willow whips there and they may be able to send them to India . Or look for Willow trees in India and take some cuttings . :)
