Jnr coaches put the most athletic kids in the halves, instead of basing it on nous. This results in a lot of great, athletic fullbacks, centres, backrowers and wingers...But minimal, skilled halves with nous. The only reason the true, standout halves got the repetition required was because theyre also very fast...Like Cleary, DCE, Moses, Johnson, Hughes etc.
PS: Why did the Warriors go to the merkin store? Because they have a Shaun Johnson.

It can be the same situation with weight divisions i know kids who were big for the age and also know kids that were small for their age it can get complicated and there isnt one size fits all.

Cleary has played 10 times for Australia and the team has won all 10, including the world cup. The last test Australia played without him Australia got flogged 30-0 by NZ. Seriously, don't post until you're sober.

in my opinion JT is the goat, followed closely by the 8th, but Cleary is only 25, as soon as he starts racking up Origin wins or gets a couple dally M's etc he will no doubt become the greatest..

That's absolutely true. Moses Leota and James Fischer Harris opened the gap during the grand final during the 2nd half. That's why Cleary was able to score that mad try. Plus, Dylan Edwards orchestrates the Panthers team as well.
It's a team sport. All of the greats played on great teams.

Cleary has a massive advantage over every other halfback and that is his father is the coach. The team is set up to suit Nathan's game which is the correct way to run a team. The halfback is king. That being said, this is the reason Cleary has failed at State of Origin level. Representative teams are never set up around one man and he has to adjust his game to a different style upto now with limited success. Players like Cliff Lyons, Terry Lamb were as talented as Cleary and were over looked at representative level and more recently Reece Walsh and Tom Dearden have been dumped at club level and both these players are game winners. Cleary is a great footballer but no more so than Stirling, Johns or Cooper Cronk who had to play within a structure.
