Cyborg was essentially the main character in the Snyder Cut. So much of his backstory was directly related to the plot. He also had the best character arch. He might have had even more screen time than anyone else besides Batman.
Yeah, Snyder understood people are familiar with Batman, Superman and Flash to a degree, plus they will get a solo Aquaman and Wonder Woman movies in the near future. So to compensate, he smartly decided to give Cyborg more time in Justice League so the audience can warm up to him.
@@PiCheZvara Which I'm glad he did cause before this, I didn't know much about him and now I think he's extremely cool
He must have been the secret protagonist of both versions of justice league

"You are not a monster."
"It's weird that you thought I meant me."
Ebony B. Ray fisher did his best but the best back story was doom patrol cyborg when mr nobody tapped into his brain
Dad: You might want to take a look in the mirror, son.
What Monster was he referring to?
@@handsomesquidward5160 Cyborg sees his father as a monster for his actions in saving him with the motherbox. Motivated by fatherly love and a fear of losing his family, Cyborg's dad used technology he barely understands to save him but at it comes at too high a price and worse, Cyborg must be the one to 'pay the cost'. Cyborg is now half man, half machine and the two sides are not in sync, to the point that the machine half is working almost independently.
To add salt to the wounds, it's clear that the father doesn't understand the weight and the ramifications of his actions and it's effects on Cyborg. In addition, Cyborg points out that the father has kept his actions hidden to the point that other people don't know that he is alive. All this plus a lack of remorse on the father's part explains Cyborg's view of him: A person knows right/wrong, a monster can't tell the difference.
@@GaultSilber here is the part i find really interesting most people would give almost anything for the kind of power cyborg has but because its his origin he has to brood im sorry if i woke up one day and could fly pissed off would be the last thing i was. and dont act like star cant make a skin to cover his metal parts they could in an instant if he wanted that.
Ray Fisher's performance in this movie is underrated. Dude killed it. This is actually one of my favorite scenes in the movie
lol settle down fella. Its just something people say even often when they may really mean "under appreciated". I dont see people talking about him or giving him much credit which I find unfortunate because I thought he did very well. Thats why I said it.
ItzSilentStorm I didnt like this movie but cyborg and aquaman were the best parts.
I agree that Ray as cyborg in this movie is great, but the plot made him kinda like an explaining tool in the second half of the movie, excited to see his solo movie
omg, i was about to say the same thing.
DC universe should have Ray Fisher reprise his role as Cyborg in DC's Doom Patrol.
Cyborg deserves a movie.. his story is more heart felt.
I wish he had a more positive reaction to his cybernetics. Sure, I know how it feels, but if I were a cyborg, I would love it. Maybe I'd miss my old life once or twice, but I'd always go on adventures each day with my cool powers.
He's going to get one
it was supposed to come out april this year lmao
Know this is a year old but tots watch the dc show Doom Patrol, Cyborg and his father get way more time to shine and grow and for a good part of the series Cyborg is the psudo mc
Teen titans lmao
This is what ''putting a soul in machine'' looks like, beautiful performance Ray Fisher!

Ray Fisher deserved better.
Zack Snyder deserved better.

Yes,he is.
Fisher doesnt get along with the head of DC movies and has publicly critisized him.
Do some research lol
Ray Fisher was awesome as cyborg,i had no problem with his CGI and Ray did a great acting
JPLUS XXI the cgi was horrible
JPLUS XXI the cgi for cyborg is bad. How is it that the live action full metal alchemist movie has a better effect with a living suit of armor than cyborg? Also is make up for a robot that hard ?
i don't care guys,i think the cyborg cgi was good. Could be better? yes,but i had no problem with it
JPLUS XXI no problem man
i agree. i think this scene is not a reshoot bcos the cgi is better. it is certainly better than his cgi in superman's first fight.
Gotta love how Joss Whedon claims Ray Fisher’s a bad actor when his performance in Josstice AND The Snyder Cut were the best parts of the film. I loved him in the regular film but the Snyder Cut made me love him so much more. He’s essentially the main character in the SC and good god it’s incredible.
The slow reveal of his body is great, capped-off by him running his fingers on the kitchen table. I really like this scene. Ray Fisher is going to do big things.
We need that Cyborg movie, preferably directed by Alex Garland.
Mmkk
Jk
I wish there was a Raven movie, Where it was ALL about Raven, the title even named Raven. That would be awesome. But, this video is all about Cyborg so I should stop talking about Raven
You mean a movie of a cgi man walking around
Fuck me Alex Garland is a perfect choice for a Cyborg film
The reference to being a "monster" is actually a great example of thought provoking writing that subverts expectations. His question doesn't just call out his father, but the audience too. You're forced to admit you'd assumed HE was the monster, just as his father had, and to consider that perhaps the creator and NOT the creature might be the true monster. Frankenstein anyone?
Also, the actor deserves credit for conveying so well all the emotions that statement is loaded with: resentment, anger, helplessness, grief, disassociation, to name a few. Never seen the dude in anything else, but he's definitely a talented actor.
dawg... who the fuck else could he have meant? thought provoking? nah
Loved cyborg in this film wish they hadn’t deleted his extra scenes, Ray Fisher was perfect 👌
Bats 1986
the extra scene where he’s on the football field looking up at his mother cheering him on in the stands looked incredible and I’m genuinely disgusted that they left it out of the theatrical cut....
Ray Fisher is hot as Cyborg
@@savino3109 the extra scenes were so shit that Ray Fisher was actually grateful for them being cut out soo....whatchu talking bout Willis?
They should had made teen titans instead of justice league
WE ARE BACK
What a coincidence his father is the same person who made the Terminators
Funny enough. The guy who designed Cyborg for this movie is the same guy that designed the Terminator back in the 80s
@@PermanentHigh you can tell
He was also Legba's assistant in the movie Crossroads
He's gotta stop getting involved in cybernetics
Glad someone notice that! Love that movie!
Definitely one of the better moments from the movie. I've said it on another video, but I found the character moments more memorable than the battles themselves.
Yeah this is why I actually appreciate this movie despite its problematic production and weak CGI at some parts.
Zack had intended Cyborg to be the heart and soul of JL. But WB cut out a lot of his scenes. It gave a very generic feel to his character. Nonetheless...Ray Fisher is amazing as Cyborg and I can't wait for his solo outing.
Man of Steel cyborg Next movie
even without all those scenes, I still felt that the intention was still there
Man of Steel I still feel he had a connection, but I feel like they're going to make either WW or Supes that moving forward.
Man of Steel yeah cyborg was somehow my favorite character from the film. He did an amazing job but the character is complex that probably helps him.
The scenes with Cyborg though were Snyder.
It's awesome that this is Ray Fisher's first major film and as a supporting character he was easily the best part of it
The sad part is that i genuinely love the Cyborg scenes in this movie. The camera shots and acting from Ray Fisher is just brilliant. Dude straight up deserved his own movie and so much more in Justice League. JL could’ve been way better had it focused on Cyborg’s character and save the Death of Superman Story for JL2
His voice is so smooth and clean. Keep him as Cyborg WB damnit
It's terrible how oversimplified everything gets in this version. Snyder cut was miles ahead
Yeah, miles.... Miles Dyson, you know
Gotta appeal to the masses unfortunately…most humans don’t want deep stuff, they want entertainment.
Cyborg by far is the best looking character. His robotic parts just look so natural on him
redtiger 82 only in this scene
As natural as a nuclear power plant in the middle of a forest

@@007Fusiion bruh what
I wonder how much better the CGI will look in the Snyder Cut. I mean, they're using today's technology where this film is 4 years old and they have over a year to just do VFX.
Couldn't do that last night.😂
Best line
@@unwelldanny7108 lol not at all. There's WAY better line.
When you watch these scenes it seems like a really good movie but the point is that it feels rushed and unconnected

The movie wasn't rushed, but the reshots were and the cut out 45 minutes from it sooooooo.. yeah I guess It's rushed
The scenes lile these were shot by Snyder
WB are actually morons. They butcher their own films then wonder why they dont perform so well
your opinion is rushed and unconnected.
Cyborg is one of my favorite characters from DC and I loved Ray Fisher’s performance as Cyborg, just a shame he was underrated
Both Ray Fisher and Joe Morton did a really great job, love both their performances
He was SO much better in the Snyder cut.
You mean all the extra stuff that would’ve been best saved for his own movie?
@@wildbill9490 no. I mean the stuff that would have made him a sympathetic character.
@@rufousthefox9766 I’m pretty sure they did a good enough job with that the first time.
@@wildbill9490 If you're talking about cyborg's introduction in the Whedon cut, I didn't find that very emotional.
In here they talk about his backstory while in the Snyder cut they show it. I think it's better to show it. The rule of show don't tell.
Ray Fisher brought his gravitas for Cyborg, splendid performance, I'm refering to ZS JL of course
Kal-El fan 49 TEAGAN
I mean I would have prefered him to be more like "Teen Titans", but I get what they were aiming for.
Kal-El fan 49 When i watched trailers i thought that cyborg will suck, and i was really surprised with him. He was one of the best elements of movie
MarkMedia Channel hopefully if he sticks around and they evolve him more than I could see him growing into that type of character. I’m sure when he first became cyborg in the comics he felt like a monster but grew into it. (I’ll be honest I’m not too familiar with his backstory)
Eh... he didn’t quite have the pizazz the animated version has... still good acting. But something important was missing.
I cannot stress enough how good Cyborg is in this movie, goddamn brilliant performance from Ray Fisher too
Then his father creates Skynet. Causes Judgement Day. XD
why are u so underrated
WatcherOfShadows YES SAME GUY
DUDUN DUN DUDUN

Underrated comment.....took me quite a while to realise this
I think the interaction with the janitor was better here than in the Snyder cut. The little line "Sorry about what happened to Victor, he was a great kid" goes a long way in establishing Victor was liked even beyond his immediate family. It accentuates how tragic what happened to him really is.
And the dialogue between father and son was short, but effective too, bits of it perhaps could've been retained, or it could've been retained entirely. If we combine it with everything in the Snyder cut, it paints a perfect picture about Victor.
Agreed
Gonna say it. Ray Fisher DESERVES his own Movie. I’m not even a big Cyborg fan but man, you truly feel some of the emotion coming from his performance!
One of the best scenes in the entire film.
Is this a film?
"couldn't do that last night"😂
Snyder Cut made his character so interesting
I love the Frankenstein/Monster feel with this scene, very apparent and very real. When Victor said about “if they’re ready to see the monster” and his father reassures him, Victor then states “weird that you thought I meant me” . This perfectly illustrates Frankenstein as a novel... I believe this scene was Zack, very well done
*AVGN flashbacks*
Cyborg was by far the best thing about Justice League
This scene is perfect. One of the few in the film.
I’m a huge DC animated movie fan and Shemar Moore Does the voice for Cyborg and has for a long time and I honestly didn’t think anyone else could pull it off. But Ray Fisher IS CYBORG. He did a fantastic job. He’s got the voice and the look for live action.
That dude is a pretty fuckn good actor
Who's here after Snyder's cut🙌🙌🖤🖤
Give Cyborg his movie
THESNYDERCUT IS HIS MOVIE
Cyborg: Iron Man’s imaginable son
I mean, look at him. His chest has a glowing gem just like Tony Stark.
2:16
Welp...
you’ll need that ability for the invasion soon
This is a good scene but the problem is that they deleted Victors storyline so this looks without context or incapable of empathy even they saiy that his mom died and his father created him with the motherbox because there is no visual element, while in Snyder cut you understand why Victor feels bad
I loved Ray Fisher's performance in Justice League. I hope there is a Cyborg film in the future.
I actually like this version of the lab scene better, with the janitor being nice to him and remembering Victor.
I thought that scene is in the Snyder cut too...but that monster line wasn’t and I like that line
Best, breakout performance in Justice League
Everytime a movie character is gifted with incredible powers that people irl would kill to have.
Character: “iz a cUrSe”
nobody would want tp be like cyborg like that. it is a curse.
This scene and the fact that Silas’s death didn’t happen in this version along with the tease of Cyborg’s comic book accurate look with the nano skin layer with the “C” in the center were some of the best bits in this movie for him. I think.
What lucky ass janitorial company gets the contract to clean an alien ship?
The absolute perfect choice for cyborg, Ray is spot on god damn
Fisher was good here, and even better in the Snyder Cut.
I don't care what Joss Whedon says, Ray Fisher was phenomenal playing as Cyborg in both the Theatrical and Snyder Cut versions.
I agree. I thought he was really good in this scene. Surprised it was made by Whedon and not Snyder.
"Every day I wake up different."
He is upgrading himself without knowing...
"Everyday i wake up modified" *proceeds to levitate via thrusters* "couldn't do that last night."
Ray Fisher definitely brought a swagger to this role. I’m excited to see more of him even though this movie didn’t pan out.
I actually ligimatley, like the acting in this scene
Ray's got it, and Snyder Cyborg...Sny-borg I shall call him, intimidates the hell outta me.
Joe Morton, who plays Silas Stone in this film and the father/creator of Cyborg, also starred in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). In both movies, he uses futuristic technology that in turn lead to the creation of cyborgs with metal parts and red eyes: the Terminators themselves in Judgement Day, and Cyborg his son in Justice League.
And doctor Hamilton in smallville he experiments with kryptonite and stuff like that
“If these are gifts, then why am I the one paying for them?”
Imagine waking up and looking at your hand and seeing robot parts. Must be so heartbreaking knowing that you'll never be normal again.
And that "Couldn't do that last night" Hit different
Ray's voice sounds so good, really good cyborg
“I got a language in my head that I don’t speak”
Ray Fisher nailed that line, and it makes it my favourite one from the movie because of it
I'm glad we're getting Zack's vision in a year.
This guy really just needs to leave science alone. First he makes Skynet, now this
And people said that the Cyborg CGI is awful :/
Saling Um Ikr
It is in scenes where he isn’t clothed
it kind of is, I mean could they really not make a costume for him? Terminator 2 had better man/machine make up.
In the trailers, it was bad.
At the end he did get a costume. This film he was just trying to discover himself.
Cyborg is a depressed, non rich version of IronMan.
This scene was Snyder. I’m pretty sure.
I think the part with the janitor was Whedon though.
I think it is the other way around. The part with the janitor, cyborg, the opening with Wonder Woman was all Snyder. The other part with Lois lane was Whedon.
I was talking about this scene, and the scene with the janitor was Wheden. I know the part with Lois was Wheden though.
Also, it might have not been a Snyder scene after all.
It is Snyder, you can obviously tell by the cinematography and dialogue.
Ray Fisher has a voice man! He's definitely going places, got an intense feeling to his words
I wish they developed Victor and Barry more with a little more backstory.
There was a part in the JL trailer showing Victor with no cybernetic parts. I just wonder about those scenes.
They did. WB just asked for 45 min to be cut out of the theatrical cut.
I believe both of their back stories were cut for the sake of the theatrical run time. I think we'll see everything in Zack Snyder's cut in 2021.
Out of all the 6 members in Justice League, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg was underrated and felt overhated. I wish he was in his own movie or they made a Teen Titans movie in the previous DCEU
Cyborg was my favorite in this movie. Incredible actor !!
Best entry of the cyborg. Wish they will make a movie
So I’m wondering if this scene hints at another changed Snyder bit. Cyborg talking about the mother box staying hidden. In the theatrical cut all we know is Cyborg takes off and comes back with it. I don’t think we see it otherwise. Trailers showed it was sitting in their apartment, next to some of Cyborg’s football trophies. Which I wonder if that plays into Silas Stone not really being attentive to his son (I.e. hide it in plain sight but where his dad would never think to look since he never cared about Victor’s athletic endeavors). Also plays into Cyborg feeling that he and the box are horrors.
Maybe he just watched TTG
I’m just looking at how nice this guys kitchen is 😳
Who's here to compare the movie sequences?
DC movies are ALWAYS so literally dark, but not just that but dark and brooding.
Really wish we could see the football tournament, and the accident. Have to keep waiting for the Snyder Cut.
#releasethesnydercut
That means we'd have to see Cyborg's initial reaction to his cybernetics, and I hate that because it's hard for me to handle. I wish he had a more positive reaction.
This comment aged very well!
Honestly wasn’t a bad scene in this movie. Possibly even prefer it to Snyder’s version of the scene. In the Snyder cut the father tells him all the things he can and can’t do but how does he know? The technology is completely alien to him. I like this one more because it shows cyborg less emotional (almost like he’s part machine), more in control, and he is the one discovering his abilities instead of being told them.
Same this scene is perfect in the Whedon version. It’s way shorter but it made me really think Cyborg is such an interesting character. The subtle music was nice too.
I also like how the Whedon added the janitor saying how sorry he is about Victor’s “death”
@@Mk-kk4mk Yup
Everybody’s here hating on this movie, but
I remember when I saw it. Day before Thanksgiving, 2017. I was with my extended family, people I hadn’t seen in forever, friends who I had almost forgotten about. We all loved this movie. It had humor, it had action, it was uplifting and it made sense. On a sadder note, it was also the last time that I saw my cousin before he was deployed in the Marines, so I’ll always remember seeing his face light up watching this movie. The Snyder cut kind of hurts me because this right here was the version that I really liked and enjoyed with company. If you like the Snyder cut, that’s fine. Just remember that not everyone agrees with you.
If you loved the movie, that's great.
Well im sorry a lot for ya and wishing you can watch it all together of the Snydercut, but don't point out like Snydercut is bad , the movie is better 1000000times than what joss whedon did , and you family and cousin would totally love it , again sorry for ya lost #RestoreTheSnyderVerse

You need to read the comics. The new Justice League has Cyborg as a founding member. Hes no longer in TT.
Well, Doom Patrol is gonna be introduced in a Titans episode, Cyborg will then be in Doom Patrol and will eventually be part of Titans

Not really
@@InjusticeJosh it's an ok scene, but Snyder's was just perfect
This is probably what I respect about the DC live action universe. It tries its hardest to embrace its universe.
Where Marvel walks this line to varying degrees of success. It jumps out and almost always gives the coy *wink* to its audience.
With the exception of Justice League, however, DC has never self parody itself mocked itself. Instead DC films went all out and embraced its universe and its characters and that is something I can respect a lot about it
"Miles Dyson" is the Cyborg's father. He kept using technology he didnt understand.

It's not a parademon there, it's a reflex of a plant lol
it's Cyborg's reflection
