Top Workboots 2018 (Updated List)
1. Thorogood - amzn.to/2OYfYsF
2. Red wing Irish Setter - amzn.to/2DSUj4n
3. Keen Utility - amzn.to/2OleM5Q
Sorry guys, please drop your comments if you have any other suggestions. I'll be creating a video soon ;) Thanks for the feedback!
Obviously these people have never worked a day in their lives
619 OG Keen is a shoe that looks like a boot. They might be ok for hanging wallpaper but that’s about it.
Thorogoods are the best boots. I’m on my feet 65+hr a day welding and running a crane walking on un even slippery surfaces covered in oil. And they haven’t let me down. More comfy than my shoes too 👍
@@joecooper2263 jobsite slippers. Been telling em about this but there's not a lot of tradesmen here and the ones that are realize that you're right
Thoroughgood all day every day. I've been walking beams and climbing columns for 28 years. My feet feel and look great. They're American made also.
Life's Great Union made as well
Jeff S. Yes sir made by union workers, worn by union workers. And non union workers I'm sure.
Life's Great I.W. 765 here, I'm partial to the irish setters, many of my brothers wear the toroughgoods.
As far as none union....fuck em, give em cement boots lol
Rob Bellis Irish setters are good boots also. I'm guilty of having a couple of pair of them in my closet. Lol, Yes igree, give them rat bastards cement boots! Union labor is what built and still builds America brother. I'm union proud til the day I check out of here for good! Local # 1 ironworker for life!
Thorogoods for days. Only get about a year max out of timbs and others. Can't wait to see how long these thorogood last me. Too bad landscaping and tree work doesn't have a union hahah
I just got a pair of Timberland Pro. They are pretty comfortable straight out of the box and after 2 weeks of daily wear, they are breaking in nicely.
Red Wing all the way! You showed a few different Irish setter boots. Lol one was the wingshooter as well as Ashby “83606” I sell Red Wing Boots. Have for years.
Wearin a pair of Redwings as I type. Best work boots I've found
my choice of boot is wolverine they are comfortable waterproof oil resistant and durable
Best boots. fullstop.
Ever heard of White's or Viberg or Kulien or Wesco or Hawthorne or Hi Line or Currin/Greene or Buffalo or Grizzly or Nick's ? I may have forgot a couple brands.
Then there's a whole line of awesome European outdoor work boots that have their roots in mountaineering boots.
Your title said Best not Wal-Mart.
But you did mention ( great for your weekend)
Men , and women that make their living in work boots don't sit in an office all week.
I made my mistake when I use to buy the Walmart Boots I wore those out fast, But when got introduced to the American made Thorogood Boots and the red wings, walking high up on beams, and wooden Planks feel real good, Thanks to the Iron Workers I have a new boot that I wear tending masons all day, I love them.
I've owned #1 in Wellington style & they lasted 4mos paving asphalt in AZ. Redwings aren't the same boots they were 10yrs ago. Rocky, Ariat, Danner, Keen, CAT, are my recommendations in that order.
Definitely No Clue As To What Makes A Good Boot.
Red Wing Irish Setter Ashbys for summer/dry weather Red Wing Irish Setter Hunting Boots For Winter/Rainy weather. Im a carpenter. And those shoes are comfortable af.
ariat h20 workhog #1
These ratings were paid for. I'm a 35 yr concrete carp.pile driver. Might as well buy Walmart, before I'd buy these.
Get out from in front of the computer and try wearing these boots. The ones you list are junk.
Not the Thorogood, but the rest are trash.
Geeks reviewing work boots? LMAO...
What planet are you on? The only boot id say is even a work boot is the Thorogood.. the rest are junk
Why show thorogoods as Irish setters?
I'm on my second pair of thorogoods and love them. I tried Irish setters and they were awful. I wasted $200 on them.
Whites...the best handmade boots I've ever seen.
Yeah what $500 a pair?
@@ryankelly1846 Yup. I've been working in mine for over 3 years and only just now need a resole. They're more up front, but they'll last decades compared to boots most people replace once a year for $150.
Nice socks too
They lost me with no Carolina Shoe Co. mention.
Nick's Boots, in Spokane WA. They hand make REAL work boots!!! The ones in this video are simply walmart type cheapys some dude buys when his new temopary grocery store warehouse job requires them to get a safety toe shoe...
Wrong. They pictured thorogoods and those are perfect for building trades. 250 tops and ive had mine over 6 years. Resoled at 3. Them wedge soles are where it's at. They didn't yalk about them, they talked about the bargain line of Red Wing which also have soft soles thay wear out quick. Nick's are great for lumberjacks but I don't play Paul Bunyan, I work with steel and those high heeled outdoor boots are some uncomfortable sumbitchs on a jobsite on concrete so keep . I been climbing on iron for years and Nick's are bullshit for that. Wear what works best for what ya do and like I said heels dont work on concrete and iron
Thorogood and irish setters for me
Red wing 1
I have a pair of the Timberlake pro pit boss and they're great work boots. I work 12hr. days at production plant.
Alex Maldonado Timberlake?
Christopher Woodard. I apologize for the typo. I ment timberland
Haha I just thought the typo was funny. Easy to get mixed up lol. You and I seem to be the only few that think you don't have to spend $400 on boots to make your feet happy. I wrote timberland for several years and they were really comfortable on my feet. The reality is everything is a preference, and I personally like them along with the Irish Setter☺️
*wore timberland
I wore the timberland direct attach for a few years but was only Able to get a year out of them max, 12 hours a day landscaping. The leather splits from the sole. How are the pit boss?
Timberland Pro Endurance with Anti Fatigue Technology is one of the best boots hands down. 6’2 275 lbs on my feet 14 hours a day. No pain. They are heavy though.
I had those and they were awesome. But they didn't last me longer then 6 months
You are showing a thorogood boot as an irish setter brand boot in your video. Thorogood is an excellent boot. American made. Union made. You need to edit this video to make it correct.
Chaz Beckner unions are shit.
@@brianyaya1142 Why are unions "shit"? You don't say because you haven't got a clue. Unions are collections of people all pulling in the same direction - for the worker - so that his employer/s don't get to crap on him e.g. firing him without good reason, forcing him to work in unsafe conditions, demanding he works overtime without payment, etc. Do you still think unions are "shit"?
Redwing or danners far better boots
Jason Ryan Irish Setter is redwing
Irish settler is a separate company under redwing. Much cheaper and not the same
jeremy barr red wing shoes makes Irish setters. They are made from the same materials as other red wing shoes’ boots. I grew up in red wing and own 6 pair of red wing boots, two of which are Irish setters. They have the same build quality. Not all Irish setters are produced by red wing, but the ones in the video are.
Have a pair of Red Wings they suck might just be my luck but havnt lasted 7 months in the sawmill wore georgia boot before and they lasted a couplr years
Red wing leathers are kind of shit for work only because they have such a long break in period that you can't wear them for 8 hours day in and day out right after buying them.
Rocky makes a good work boot
Good luck trying any of this in the oil field
Funny how you put a picture of thorogoods in place of Irish setters
Aside from the thorogood boots most of these boots would never be my top 10 choice
Anybody tell me how much cost number five
Redwings
i had one or two pairs of cat boots. I worked in masonry, laid block. Even trying to keep them clean the uppers developed cracks from drying. Another problem was I was constantly rubbing up against abrasive block walls. In that case I wore holes in the toes of the boots. Between the cracks and holes I was lucky if I got six months out of a pair of boots. I also had timberline and a slew of red wings. Over the years I've had many good pair of boots. The redwings, cats and timberline boots, none of them gave me blisters on the first day I wore them. I loved my cat boots they really had great traction. The only thing I didn't like about the cat boots was they were made in china. I have to agree with the mans comment below me there. Good work boots are expensive, especially if you wear a pair out every three to six months. I also have to say wages didn't keep up with the cost of work clothes here in the southwest. We were swamped with cheap illegal labor. $60 dollars a day. Sometimes they worked those guys twelve hours for $60 dollars. There were many days I worked for less than the illegals did. Wife 5 kids three at home. I have to agree with the current policies of this great nation. My favorite boot was the red wing Irish Setter boot. It was made here in the US by union workers. So you knew the the workers got a good wage. Needless to say I didn't get those boots as often as i would have liked too. You guys that are still out there hitting it in 110 degree plus weather and freezing in the winter. My prayers are with you. Especially the guys in local 3 in Arizona and local 7 in Colorado. Wish I was still out there with you. Jim Chryst on Facebook. Thanks men for your support over the years!
I spend 12 hours a day in my Justin stampede work boots.. I highly recommend...
@2:22 those are wingshooters not 83606
Double H is a good boot this list is boots under a 100.00 or maybe 50.00 best boots I've ever had White's out of Spokane wa. But there 380.00 up but hand made n hand stitched and can be rebuilt multiple times my opinion
Redwings or wolverines the best
THOROGOOD’S BOOTS #1
Timberland my ass! What a joke. Guess I’ll just ask the old timers on the job for what are the best. Cat and timberland should make the top 50 work boots. Guess they paid for this list.
What's the name of the song
Thorogood is what i use works good for me
Moc toe
where are the red wings ???
Red wings! I get 3-6 months out of any of the boots on this list. I get almost 2 years out of a pair of red wings.
Oil your leather
No one who created this video has ever worked in places any other than an office.
I don’t think work boots are worn anymore for construction sights and other work-related areas. Many look great for casual wear.
Lol. Not if you're a painter or doing residential construction or something maybe but at every work site I've worked on they're mandatory
If your ever lucky enough to find a pair of timberland pro trappers, in your size.. don’t hesitate, they tick every box, and are bombproof.. imho
I work the railroad and these boots wouldn’t last 3 months in the rocky oily wet conditions. I wear Redwings and they only last 6 months usually. Redwings Wolverines Justins r probably the best work boots in the market for other than RR.
Sam2107a you got that right. The railroad is hell on boots. The longest I've had a pair of boots last is 6 months.
I run a Red Wing store and BNSF is one of my big accounts. I suggest you try the Irish setter Kasota 8” with a 2200 insole. I’ve have gotten some really good feedback from the guys here in Oklahoma.
Every one of these boots are them boots that wanna be work boots I’ve worn Carolinas my whole life and have never had a problem with them
No keen and danner have the best boots
I would really like one of these videos contain good boots. Repairable ( leather will last you the rest of your life.) Soles are a must so you only pay $70 the 2,3,4,etc. Time around. I have had a fluke $60 pair of Amazon boots for 15 years. I checked again and now there$120.
White. #1 these boots you listed are all 6 month boots at best.
I’m not sure this is the best list of work boots. I feel like any decent work boot will have the ability to be re-soled.
No no no All this bootslasted one month what is the best boot for running on asphal
#1 pick is definitely a good one, I have been wearing timberland pro boots for years ,there comfy and last a while
Listen I want some 16 inch tall boots
I like army boots more
The comments here are brutal....the real hardworking men don't have time to post comments on RUclips. We're here trying to one up each other's remarks and telling everyone else where to go if our taste isn't matching the other's. ....
It's just work boots......not the end of the world...😎😎😁
#3 and #4 both say Irish setter... Who the hell edited this thing?
I work union rebar there is nothing that will tear ur boots up like rebar Georgia boots the best most comfortable boot out there
Rebar tears the SHIT out of my boots. I wear thorogood but I end up buying a new pair every year. I also don't take care of them like I should.
@@bowen704 honestly Georgia's last me about a year and a half working everyday o the rebar pile
Cant find anything in 15 4E
Brandon Millsaps talk to franks boots in spokane wa
I don't think you have first hand experience with some of your picks.
#1 isn't even in the top 5... what no keen, really now WOW!
The only good boots on this list was irish setter thorogood and the timberland pro
Glorified Chinese Chuck Taylors for people who say boots hurt their feet. Tony Lama, Justin and Danner make real work boots for real American workers.
Thorogoods are the only decent boots on this list. They're gonna outlast all the other 4 boots on here put together. Plus they're the only Made in USA boots on here. Just ask someone in the building trades which of these is the "best".
Sincerely, a commercial/ industrial HVAC sheet metal worker. Not sure how much "work" this creator does but suit yourself, you get what you pay for..Nicks are the top dog of all but that builder pro model is about $600 and that's steep at one time when you got a house full of kids and plenty of bills so although I love mine, I've had Thorogoods and they're still kicking after 4 years and 2 resoles. Im not even sure if the others on this list can be re-soled. I'm not trying to say that making reviews on boots and creating content isn't work, but I AM saying that it isn't the kind of work that wears out work boots and that people who are required to strap on shit kickers for work like me know what's what.
The DC Martin Outlander was a damn good boot still don't know why they stopped making them. Tuff light weight and waterproof
Do you have any suggestion for a 3 wide foot and size 10.5 for a man?
Sarytta Souto yes thats my size and i work hard in my opinion after all the boots I did buy Bonanza is the name and made in Mexico is the best boot of them all and cheep and better made. I get mine at the flea market 240 bucks i buy 4 at a time to last me all year im hard on my feet and work for PG&E so the new look is why i buy 4 not that there not lasting i put them up to iny one u want . good luck
Wow, 240! And only last for one year?? I will tell my husband but I sure he will say no, lol. But thanks for the suggestion, I will keep my eyes opened!
Rocky boots
Sarytta Souto lol $240 for 4 pair of them there $60 bucks each if u go on line there over $100 but go to the the flea market u will see them there👍 im in California
Bornonfire I will definitely look for them! Thank you!
Twisted x boots#1 , fuck the rest !!!!!
mmm. cascades mid by puma are better work boots and are more cheap
Wesco.......
THE BEST!!!!!
What about boots for a woman. Trying to find good work boots is extremely difficult. I have to make do with a mens size 6. The arch is wrong and my feet kill me everyday after work. Everytime I find a good comfortable steel toe boot, the company stops making them. Anyway my search continues.
Try doc martins
My wife went with Hawthorne Lady Smokejumpers Lace to toe,
The only shoe or boot that don't make her feet hurt.
Them timbs are the #1
Bates steel toe boots are the best
Those redwing Irishsitters or what ever they are...200 bucks..they feel like crap..
Completely disagree with this list, you never mentioned Danner's, Redwing, NIck's or Whites which are bit high end but are boots that will last a long time. A lot longer than the Dickey's and Caterpillar.
Wesco 800$
Glad someone knows a good boot!! Custom highliners here. Worth every penny!!!
I'm partial to Frank's but good boots aren't cheap. Definitely worth it though.
Out of those 5, only one was made in the United States of America. Thorogood, which should be #1, compared to the rest of the garbage listed.
Danner, Red Wing, or Muck(not the rubber boots- the pull on all leathers) most comfortable boot known to feet!
YOU SHOWED PICTURES OF A THOROGOOD BOOT FOR AN IRISH SETTER BOOT LISTING, EPIC FAILURE
Obviously the person who made this this has never worked in construction. Thorogoods and Irish setters are two different boots and are the two best boots on this video. Don’t listen to this review!
A guy named tech guru rating work boots...wedges no less lol.
Man back in 1980es 1990es they only costed 30 dollars how our world has become money is there God
This list is all over the place u mix up styles and I can’t believe u think dickies or timberland boots are worth being mentioned the weight alone on these boots make them the worst to wear
The only good boot here is the Thorogood. The rest is Chinese made POOP! LMAO
Damm why didnt diehard make that list. Dam im a heavyperson i love diehards hqve been wearing them for years .looks like these idiots dont know or havent work in construction or the refinery industry.never get tired of wearing this boots.they feel like a cadillac.
You should change the title to the cheapest boots available....
Dickies made the list? Really.....who made this list?
Wouldn’t wear any of these
Die hard and red wings are the best
Hahahahahaha this video is a joke. Top 5 biggest p’s os.

These all all Wal-Mart cheap garbage what about Redback, Justin, or Ariat those are all workboots not these
Wesley Monahan ariat expensive, but worth the expense
Wesley Monahan Irish Setters aren't Walmart boots you dumb fuck
Christopher Woodard your feelings are hurt that bad about your shitty boots you have to insult somebody? Lol i remember when i was broke too
Nope not broke at all bud, just know that me feet thank me for wearing boots that are comfortable straight out the box.
Christopher Woodard well damn man you just up and talk to people nasty like that over opinions of workboots? Relax man
Wolverine!
Shop at Union Boot Pro made in the USA Wisconsin 👍🏼👍🏻👍🏾🇺🇸 I.U.E.C.# 7
Dr Martin's over timberland pros all day long!
where the fuck r thurogood the best boot out therr
Red wings and chippewas all day.
Dr.Marten's???
This video is BAD. From comments below the information is apparently incorrect but I can see for myself that the images accompanying the words are wrong. For example, the boot shown at 2:35 is supposed to be the same model that is shown at 2:45 when they are clearly different; and what the hell kind of image is that at 2:24? Is that supposed to illustrate a quality work boot? What fool edited this video?
Keldor D'Antrell Agreed. It is pretty, pretty, pretty bad.
Most of us can tell you have not work a day in your life or walk more than a hundred feet at once, try to get a real job.
Title should be the 5 shitty work boots to avoid.
Anyone shows up to the site with Irish setters on. Is going to get the pink hard hat. Anyone doesn’t know what that is. Get a real job
Not sure I'm a union boilermaker. Real enough for ya? Irish setters make yer vag bleed?
