I work in the trades. You typically dont see anyone wear Timbs as work boots anymore because most job sites and companies require steel-toe boots. I've been wearing JK and Thorogood moc toe steel toe for years. Back in the late 90s - early 2000s the thing to do was wear your timbs on the street and when they got dirty and creased you would wear them to work and finish them off😂.
Timberland PRO boots are better for work. The Premiums I use to shovel snow in the winter. They keep my feet warm and dry and great traction. My pairs last me 10 years. Good video.
Wow, really? I'm planning to invest in a pair for farm work after graduation but the one I'm aiming to buy is the women's version. Do you think they are as durable? They cost RM900± (around 193.72 USD) in my country. I'm sweeping youtube for reviews, at the moment 😅
I like these boots a lot . I use them a on the beach in my house in Tofino British Columbia. Today I used them in a driving rain storm walking the beach traversing boulders in the salt water to get back to the main beach. They kept my feet warm and were comfortable walking seven kilometres.I don’t know where I bought them in town but I am grateful for the salesperson who convinced me to buy them.
I’ve been wearing tims for 30 years I use to buy them from macys and model’s back in the days bcuz they had good well balanced boots the tongue Stitched in correctly and the heel was straight as well with the vibram sole… now rims are producing their icon boots I’m looking for better boots like Panama jack. Born shows have nice chukka boots …. And miss my Tim’s
Grabbed some of these in the fall. I wear them when it's wet out in colder weather. Definitely do t wear them in heavy snow but they look good, are warm, and water resistant
Can you make another video of the difference between the regular premium 6-inch boots and the 6-inch fur lined version in terms of comfort wise regardless of them being the exact same?
Cool video man thanks so much I appreciate it. I like the thorogood boots but I think the bull run has a stich down construction. I've always liked the look of tims but they do get dirty so quickly with that kind of leather anyway all the best from Northern California
Very good catch on the stitchdown Bull Run---I missed that somehow, but I still stick by my assessment on the Bull Run as a better work boot. Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and subscribing---I truly appreciate it.
Eh, it's not what I'd call high quality footwear but it's about as good as the stuff Thursday puts out and certainly is more comfortable and better looking. Also being insulated and fully waterproof is a thing that can be beneficial sometimes. Has a place if you're looking for a beater pair to wear in the snow or very wet winter weather and look good while doing it.
What is all the crap that Timberland can't be resoled? Timberland are one of the best boots to resole, because it has a midsole that is glued to the foot bed and the upper and the outsole is glued to the midsole....all you need is heat(heat gun or hair drier) and a pair of pliers to pull the outsole off and then go to your local cobbler to glue on new outsole for like 50-60 bucks. P.S.: I discovered your channel a week ago and I love it...keep up the good work.
I like the boots, great review and video on them, thanks. --- (You need to get your microphone separated from the table, it makes an annoying THUMP every time you set the boots down or hit the table with your hand.)
Just purchased some premiums size 9.5 men noticed that if I don't lace them tight the heel slips up. But the toe area feels firm, and if they're laced tightly they stay pretty firm. Ideally I don't like the tight look, I prefer them a little loose. However, do you recommend sizing to 9 or 8.5? Or should I just stick to lacing them tight currently.
I’ve always been told Your meant to go 1 size down from what you usually wear in everything else. Eg: you usually wear a 9.5 you’d get a 8.5 in timberlands
+1 I’ve had my wheats for 3 years now. Only issues I’ve noticed are the heel is worn a bit on a steep upward angle, and the sole also seems to be drying and cracking very slightly in areas of high pressure. Should last another 3 years comfortably. The lining at the back of the heel got worn and was showing the heel cup. I had a cobbler replace the leather lining for $20(AU). The wheat cleans up nicely they still look good. Casual wear through most days in winter and cooler summer days.
They sell the basic model at department stores to suckers who dont know that they are buying inferior boots. The premiums are the only timberlands worth buying
I havent been able to find much info on this but does anyone else have a problem with heel striking when walking in timbs? Like, theyre very clunky, when im walking my heel is catching thebground and the rrst of my foot just crashes down, no flexibility in the boit, i feel like sometimes i have to lift my feet off the ground qhile im walking like snowshoes
They've got a pretty thick sole and it takes some getting used to. They're also heavy. Heel drag is a real thing with these. I'm sure you've discovered that by now as it's 6 months since you commented haha
@joojoobomb yeah I just wear them for fashion now to a bar or whatever. If I'm actually walking around the city or anything I'll leave the timbs at home
Intresting about the sizing. I tried on 8,5 which is my usual size for boots in general but I had to go with 9us with these since it was a bit too tight where the tounge was stitched. Don't know if it was because I have quite wide and tall feet but yeah.
My feet is weird 😂I wear a 9 in normal shoes but got this exact pair from a couple years still holding up great just got one small scratch that’s barely noticeable but I can fit em 🤷🏽♂️
nice overview of a "classic" boot, had a pair in college...as an adult you have much better options//your channel is growing nicely keep up the good work//all the best troutbumandsam
So if your Tims are slightly on the smaller side you can just remove the insole for a little extra room? Mine are partucularly snug. I got US 10s and usually I'm an 11 so I think I made the right choice... but still. Will it be uncomfortable?
I bought them online and just received them. Unfortunately they have a little bit of slack but I don't want to return them because I took them with a huge discount (were on 60% discount and I had a discount code of 25%) that I doubt I will find again. Any suggestion on fillers/sizers for boots?
I read direct attach are better than the premiums becuz better waterproofing? Also Timberlands has a size chart on their website that gives you the inches so if you just measure your foot that should be the right way to go they said to go true to size I’ve asked him several times
Anyone noticed how slippery these are on ice? I bought them specifically for winter and I'm disappointed. My old no-name winter boots that cost a fraction of this had much better grip.
the answer is "black culture." although they are marketed as a work boot, I've personally been wearing them as fashion since 1991. the popularity with these as well as Jordans and host of other tennis shoes as most have items can be attributed to black American men...
These are all made in China nowadays. I have many pairs made in Czech Republic and Dominican Republic and I prefer them over the actual made in China ones.
Wearing Timberlands with the laces loose and the tongue hanging out looks sloppy. That look (mostly) only appeals to guys..women generally find it really unattractive.

Timberland pro are steel toe
To avoid the keeping them clean problem with nubuck, Timberland also offers these boots in several full grain leathers.

I live in toronto and have a black pair . I like them . I feel safe wearing them . Rain . Light show . My downtown subway boot in nasty weather.
Bought my first pair last Nov. Now I have a collection. 😁

Dang, maybe its time for you to get into the boot game! You've got a ton of these haha!
They are perfect for heavy snow what are you talking about. Warm, big lugs for grip, totally waterproof..
@@BootSpy 😂 I will stick to watches. 😉
@@CptAngelKGaming You do you.
Thanks for the complete review! Just picked it up for $130, should be a steal for the price 😁
Nicely done!
Lucky!!! Just paid 200 euro 😢
make sure they arent fakes or stolen! I paid $158 for mine on sale 20% off . $130 seems too good to be true. Lots of knock offs out there on Ebay
130 is the price for the basic Timbs. Premium Timbs cost around 200
dont worry, got it from a timberland official store in Indonesia! i can say i was lucky
Like the style and love the waterproof feature. Thanks for the thorough review.
Just bought! On their way ready for the Finnish winter!
I am a sixe 10 (uk) and size 10 fit me the best, 9.5 dug into the back of my ankle and was tight on the instep

plenty of videos on youtube of re-soled Timberlands. It can be done and usually a vibram sole

I started wearing mine for fashion but now I just wear them almost daily to work. They’re pretty beat up now, but I use them as boots
Been wearing Tims since the 80s.Time to revert to sketchers since im older.
In italy the premiums usually go for 230€, but today i ordered a pair on sale for 130€, btw nice review man
That's pretty pricey. Might as well buy a flight to the us and get them here
Timberland PRO have the best waterproofing out of all the boots
Just got mine last week 😁🤚🏼
Nice! How are you liking them so far?
I love it so far

I heard that timberland, as a brand has dropped in quality in quite a few ways now as compared to say 8 or so years ago. Is there any truth in this?
I can't really speak to the quality then as I didn't have a Timberland yet. But the quality is solid today for the price

I’m an 11 and 10 1/2 fits like a glove.
nice how tall do they make you?
Thumbs up for actually having them tied like an adult 👍
Exactly
@Kylan Davian you honestly think anyone believes you?
More like a prison guard lol
Boohoo if you're into Fashion
let those who like style DRIP LOL
Rather than giving it a childish vibe he's giving more of a masculine and vintage looks.

the timberland workboots are a different model not the premium one...
@BootSpy Your opinion of the Panama Jack 003?

Definitely going to buy some after watching this

thick wool socks might help. They do sell felt heel pads on Amazon I think -- that could be a good bet
Would they be a good dog walking boot??? ie can they get real muddy ?? Nice vid btw
@@robinlarge1630 thank you mate
Whats a good insole for the premiums?
Copper fit makes an excellent insole. I have lower back problems and my steel toes are more comfortable than my Crocs.
How are these in the cold? insulated?
yeah they are insulated
Right at 40 degrees or colder they start to suck
Do i get medium or wide?

are they true to size
my insole is nor removal and no timberland logo made in chine bought from billoutlets its original?
What about Panama jack ? Are they better than timbs?
Would these boots work as a more dressy boot (smart casual), or for a date?
as long as ur based
Another good review
Glad you enjoyed it Thank you so much for watching---I really appreciate it.
I have the all black pair love those things lol
Please where can i get the timberland in UAE
What type of pants are you wearing
Come again how much?
These gave me a bit of a headache with the sizing, ordered half size down and they are still roomy
Watching your video while wearing my new Timbs I bought today

No
how come, the design is literally the same.@@carl7667
What's your height, please?
7'4" soaking wet.
Bull runs are not goodyear welts. They are stitch down.
Good catch!
I had these for the last 30 years..
Why don't they stitch as well as stick it would make them stronger.
I’m better off with getting a school eraser and a small brush at home 😂 people be tripping
What sucks about the timberland premiums is that the soles are just dumbly glued on. Come on...
I wear timberland earthkeepers waterproof plus insulation also a very good boot
Does Timberland invent yellow boots?
I love them but the problem with having these boots is that you don't wear anything else 🤦
do premium has steel toe?
no steel toe
Just bought a pair. And it hurts my ankle so bad even with socks on.
Try getting a different size or maybe don’t wear boots
Gotta break them in son
How?
They're big asf I had to go a full size and a half down
No other boot goes better with a dark pair of jeans and a black Champion Hoody
Should I get yellow or brown
Rust
The looks primarily.
redwings and thorogood is twice the price here in EU :-/
great boots but for $200 they are a little pricey
Someone in NY is crying because of the way you laced them
And I'm crying because I'm not in NYC.. not right now.. but, you know. As a NC bumpkin, NYC sounds pretty fun
Jack Nicholson in The shining laced them the same way and it’s look cool in my opinion...
I’m from The Bronx and always laced them up ❤, I like looking clean and not sloppy
Timberlands are for construction workers but anyone can try them on
Timberland Premium or Timberland pro?
Just for streets. No work.
Premium all the way.
FYI there's an annoying banging/bass boom noise every time you touch the desk/shoes. edit: seems to be the same on all your vids.
I’d NEVER EVER EVER wear my Timberlands to work. Strictly street wear
Street wear and work ! !

cheaper , buy some mr clean magic erasers.
you get punch in the face if someone ever see you wearing timbs basic in new york

Many things that are popular are low quality…
Worst boots I ever bought. Even after extensive modification they are still completely unserviceable.

Absolutely dreadful shoe, it's almost like walking in high heels 😆 grossly overpriced as well, Cat colorados are much better
