Ahhh....I miss Terre Haute. I was there in the late 70's when Larry Bird was there. The best time in my life. Lived in married student housing just off Crawford street.
Decent city. I moved here after living in Bloomington Indiana for a few years. To compare Terre haute to Bloomington Indiana....I rather live in Terre haute. Bloomington IS a dangerous city ESPECIALLY if you are a college student. There was so many college students come up missing.. so many I lost count. Only one of those students has been found in a shallow grave several counties away from Bloomington Indiana.
if he wouldve just went one block more in any direction it’s ghetto and dangerous. all he showed was isu campus and downtown terre haute. at night it just has homeless people everywhere
@@scarlegacy975 used to be dangerous. The new mayor really cleaned the city up. All abandoned and fire damage houses has been removed. I live in Terre haute and I had no problems with anyone
I don't know why this person fixated on downtown and campus but there's a shitload more than that. I'm half surprised people weren't screaming and threatening to kick his ass for stopping at green lights and turning like he was lost.

I lived in Terre Haute from 1994 to 1997 and it was magic!!! I loved it there!!!
I was an ISU Phi Psi in the early 80's and I lived at Poplar Street. I miss ISU and Terre Haute.

The whole city looks brick..This is my type of city to live in.I hate going to big concrete jungles. But this lovely quaint city will work for me..

I never heard that nickname. I only heard "sin city of the midwest".
Terre Haute = Highland, even though its elevation is only 500 ft.
Terre haute is in a valley...why call it high land???????? Walbash valley.
