I love finding new colours on my red firefish. When you look close at fish you realise how many different colours they have and how they can almost change shade under different light
That is so true! Or if they are scared or upset. Even my Cowfish has such a variety of different yellow hues.
Great information thanks for sharing my Royal Gramma is my centerpiece
Thank you for watching! How big of a tank do you have?
Awesome!!!
Great list! I particularly love the Royal Gramma Basslet in my tank. It's inexpensive, easy to find, and great for nano tanks. Oh, and super colorful of course!
:) Yes! They are such colorful fish! What size tank do you have it in?
@@WaterLoggedLife I have mine in a NUVO Fusion 40 gallon along with eight other nano friendly fish.
@@biggestlittlereef1078 ah very nice! I often wondered if I shouldn't have gone with a bigger tank when I got my 20 gallon.
This list is good for aquariums 75g or below. For larger tanks there are many more colorful fish of course. Ie Emperor, Blue face and gold flake angels, Clownfish triggerfish and tangs like Hippo, Purple, clown and Sohal to name a few.
So fricken cute. Thanks
Really enjoyed the video yes you covered my favourite fish the wrasse family but do not know which wrasse are safe with each other it would be good if you could cover this subject and give some guide lines as how to achieve this thanks tony
Wrasses are such fantastic fish! Have you ever been to the Shedd Aquarium? They have a great Fairy Wrasse tank! I will keep that in mind and see what I can do! Thank you for the suggestion.
great list for the jawfish the pearly are good too
I love my ORA Mandarin. I have tried wild one in the passed, but the usually don’t last even with fresh pods every month. My captive breed one has been going strong for two years and even eats Mysis and Pellets food. Very happy with the little dude. He came in only .75” inches but is now closer to 2”. Thanks for sharing you list today
@@RankinsReef1980 aww thats so exciting to hear you’ve had such success with it! I would love to get another Mandarin some day. I remember seeing the tiny ones from Biota at MACNA several years ago.
Thanks Doug. Do you have a Pearly Jawfish, or just had them in the past? Jawfish as a group are just fun to watch.
@@WaterLoggedLife had a nuvo 38 for them in the past we had seen them in an public aquarium on vacation and they got me restarted in the hobby
@@dougdeakin6478 oh that's pretty cool, I'm sure the aquarium would be happy to hear they inspired you to get back into it
Are Coral Beauties and Flame Angels good in a reef tank?
I've read and seen mixed reviews
That’s a great question and I wish I could offer you solid advice, but I too have heard a variety of mixed reviews on this.
I could not keep the solar wrasse in the tank. It died on what was I think its fourth jump. It was a neat fish though.
Oh dear, poor guy. They are beautiful fish.
It was quite sad, I scooped it up and put it back in but it looked like maybe it had broken it’s back and died shortly after.
It had survived some good jumps. One time it jumped out and went down the sink drain, but I quickly took the sink trap apart and got it out.
@@robertmiedel4104 Oh my goodness! That is r impressive it survived the sink drain long enough for you to get it apart and get it out.
Greatest fish ever clown trigger
They have some fun personalities :)
Melanarus over 6line
Another colorful wrasse
Dude, six line wrasses tend to be hyper-aggressive, but do good in most tanks? lol wut?
If you get a six line, add it last for best chance of success. I won't touch one personally since they tend to be assholes. Flasher wrasses are SUPER colorful too without the asshole personality.
Perhaps I’ve been lucky with the ones I’ve cared for and really haven’t had that many issues. But personality is one of the reasons its important to research and make sure they are compatible with their tankmates.
Ooooof, please find different intro music. For the love of god, please
