    My grandfather introduced me to marksmanship, and my step-dad helped take it up a notch. I was a steady 1/2 moa at 300 yard with a 2/22.
    That was when I was 15 or 16, and I’m 44 now. I bought a proper sniper rifle, and the scope cost more than the rifle.
    It was super fun getting back into it. Navigating the physics, knowing how to adjust the scope is straightforward. Seeing the vapor trails and the bullet trace is pretty amazing. It’s all about learning how to read the wind.
    Nothing beats a 3 1/2 seconds wait at a mile, or the 7 seconds at 3000 yards, that passes before the bullet bangs on the steel.

Anything that takes time, dedication and persistance is a reflection of your character. I can ski and golf but not for a long while. I would like to learn a language and play a musical instrument when I find the time, for now I will stick to reading as much as I can.

    It's the reason why I like Bond, it is easy to forget how talented he is. It's one of the reasons why I prefer Bond to be about 40 (give or take a few years) for the first film. I just find it impossible to believe a person can master all these skills, know multiple languages fluently, know multiple fighting skills, expert weapon use as well as bomb disposal knowledge, expert vehicle use (including fast car driving, sailing, motor boating, flying planes and helicopters), extremely competent at sports, Hunting, fencing, rockclimbing, diving, skiing, swimming, golf (and the typical sports of the upper class), an expert gambler, entertain like a member of the British aristocracy knowing all the protocols like how to dress, how to make drinks & what fork to use, have a long career in the military/intelligence and rise the ranks of 00 (No offence) I just couldn't take a 20 something seriously

    • @Gent.Z
      @Gent.Z  3 месяца назад +5

      It certainly would take at least 10-20 years of adulthood to be so capable in such varied aspects of life. So I agree, 35 to 50 is a good age range for Bond, in my mind.

    My friend, while I certainly enjoy your awesome content and appreciate the great video, I must warn you against the practice of Krav Maga. This is especially true if you are taking it in the U.S. -most Krav Maga here is of dubious nature and is at best a VERY watered down version of what is taught by the IDF. Real Krav is more like practical considerations to, say, sacrifice four of your fingers to pull a knife blade off of your neck, not replicable techniques that can be applied in live sparring. Real Krav is much more of a manual for survival tactics in wartime armed conflict than it is a trainable martial art, and many "instructors" in the U.S. are borderline con-artists who are capitalizing off of a fad.
    Additionally, any "martial art" that does not include a hard sparring component does not pressure-test its techniques, and therefore does not train you to realistically defend yourself. Your expectations going into self defense training should be that after at least a few years of consistent training in a universally-recocognized-as-effective combat sport, you will be more likely to survive a violent encounter. A good rule of thumb is to pick a combat sport (or cross train multiple) that is provably viable as a sub-component of MMA, such as wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, etc.
    For reference, I am a competitor/coach in submission grappling (Judo, wrestling, BJJ, Sambo techniques all allowed) and a Muay Thai boxer.

    “Bond never gambles to ruin.” I’m not positive what your meaning is here. If it’s that he never gambles until he’s broke in a particular evening, he does precisely that in Casino Royale with baccarat in the book, and poker in the movie. If you mean he’s gracious enough to not ruin his opponent, that was his mission in the same story. If you meant he’s not a habitual gambler draining his own resources into destitution, then you’re probably right. Then again, he never plays with his own money.

    😂……this video is interesting….but folks please remember….Bond, James Bond is just a fictional character portrayed in movies..very unrealistic…so please don’t embarrass yourself by trying to portray yourself as a James Bond character 😂 in real life. Be realistic with yourself and life and please don’t take yourself and your persona seriously…take life seriously though.
    Also as for the James Bond character……all that he (the fictional character) does…..definitely would not and could not happen without the financial $$$$$ means to support him.
    Yes again the James Bond movies are fictional based on a fictional character who has unlimited financial resources at his disposal to live that type of “fictional” lifestyle! 😂
