- Lahore is and was always one of the biggest city of Punjab and South Asian Sub Continent. Before partition of British India 1947, Lahore City had 26% Hindu population, Lahore Tehsil/Taluk (Sub District) had 22% Hindu population and Lahore District had 17% Hindu population.
Hindus of Lahore were successful in various fields but after 1947 partition of British India, these Hindus of Lahore got settled in different urban areas of North India.

They were from Toba Tek Singh District. That was then part of Jhang district.
