I love your honesty & transparency lately. You feel more relatable, and the more we talk about mental health the more others will too. I feel like you are finally coming into your own and becoming more OK with who you are and your struggles, because at the end of the day we are all human and life isn't perfect.
I never comment but, Wow your singing lesson gave me chills! You have been talking about pursuing theater for forever and DEFINITELY need to asap. You have so much talent, do not let that dream go unpursued. Seriously whatever it takes girl. I live in the states, but I would travel to your shows to hear your voice. Not because you are a RUclipsr that because I like, honestly that is irrelevant, but because you have an incredible voice that is so emotionally captivating you need to be on stage.
It was really nice to hear you singing ‘with you’ without belting in your chest voice- people think that singing it your chest sounds better but some people just strain their voices too much-you made it sound so melancholy and gentle which was really lovely to hear😊
I love your honesty Gabby and I suffer from anxiety and don't want to leave the house on several occasions. I've had antidepressants which helped for a while but I was still not right. I find exercise is my go to when I feel like this or ringing someone who will always make me smile! You inspire me so much and I know you can win!
Yes!!!! Endometriosis is the absolute worst. I was miserable for about 3 years too and once you finally get a diagnosis it is the biggest relief. SO GET IT CHECKED OUT. And make sure you truly advocate for yourself so that your doctor knows how much pain you really have. I understand your pain! My periods always made me MISERABLE. Now that I've had surgery everything in my life has improved. Good luck babe ♥
I'm the same with mental health around that time of the month, normally mines a day before until it finishes, I hate it! Makes me feel so horrible! I suffer anyway with anxiety, but I have noticed myself that around that time of the month I'm always worse! I feel for you gabbie!
I used to get really depressed on the first few days of my period like I totally felt the same like I couldn't function as a human at all it is so horrible, I found that once I got an IUD it honestly helped so much with both the depression and the period symptoms. I hope you find what helps you❤️❤️❤️
I have been struggling so much with the exact same thing!! My mental health plummets. I feel so bloated due to my ridiculously increased appetite which always triggers previous eating disorders and overall it’s something i dread until the next month comes around. Very heartwarming to hear it’s not only me, wishing you the best xx
Stop being so hard on yourself gab, life is hard at the best of times and when you go through tough patches remember it can only get better from there. You may have some blips on the way up but so do the best of us x
I have this too!! For a full week before my period I have the worst depression to the point I sometimes feel suicidal and my anxiety is through the roof and I also believe it’s due to my period. You are not alone hope you sort it xx
your singing voice is just gorgeous gabbie! you absolutely need to go into theatre, i can just imagine you on stage, so talented. i'm so excited about you learning to horse ride! i've done it my whole life and its such a rewarding sport, the horses become your friends and it does require far more effort than what everyone thinks...intense workout if youre doing it properly trust me! regarding the pill - i got put on lucette to regulate my mental health during my period and it has just been a lifesaver so i would hugely recommend it x
I totally understand where you're coming from, it's like having a personality transplant every few weeks and I can't control it. Even being on Micrognon has minimal impact on the destruction of my mental health for a few days. The only thing that helps is having understanding people around me ❤️ Hope you get sorted Gabs x
Hi love! I had those symptoms too, my gyno said it was because I had huge hormone fluctuations. He gave me Mirena which is an IUD. Basically it regulates your hormones and you don’t get a period. Helped me out tones 🖤🖤 best of luck babe!
I have endometriosis, pcos and really suffered with depression while on my period. I recently got the coil and honestly my mood has improved so much along with my stomach pains etc. Even the bloating! It’s quite invasive but it’s so worth it, I’ve also stopped having migraines which is another bonus. Hope you find something that works for you ❤️
I feel you so much with the period thing. I can barely function on my period, I literally cannot leave my bed I have to call in sick sometimes because I can’t stop crying. I have to force myself to do things. I’m on a pill too, it helps a bit with the pain I get. Don’t worry, you’re not the only one 💜💖
I have endometriosis and girl I feel you on a personal level. I have to call off work 1 week a month because I literally can’t at anything. I’ve had my birth control switched multiple times and nothing has worked so I gave up and deal with the pain. As bad as it sounds , I would rather have the flu than have that. I’m here for you. It sucks but you’re a strong ass woman and you can conquer anything 💙
I'm so glad you've spoke up about your periods! I am exactly the same and have always felt so alone in it because I feel like I just sound crazy or like I'm a drama queen, but it's insane how much time I've spent so so down all because of my periods. I went to the doctors and pmdd was suggested and I've been changing my pill a lot but so far no luck
I have really painful periods and literally couldn’t function without strong pain killers all day everyday but going on the right pill made it more tolerable. Also ask your gp about skipping periods, it really helps me because I only have to deal with it a few times a year!!
loving the vlogs! you should do one of those videos of resetting your sleeping pattern (like waking up at 7am every morning for 7 days) because they are cool to watch ! just a thought! xxx
Also, I hope that you enjoy your horse riding when you're feeling better. I did it for years, and I've always found it so therapeutic ❤️ Warning, you will ache the next day, but it's so worth it !
Listening to you singing with you from ghost (one of my all time FAVOURITE songs) mesmerised me. You sing so beautifully, you'd make such a good Molly in the musical!
This is such a relatable vlog. I honestly let my whole life go downhill for a week of the month and it is so awful but I cannot take any pills for it because it affects my hormones in a wacko way! I suffer from endometriosis and it is so painful and sucks but is manageable. Hope you feel better soon :) xx
I can totally relate to the issues during your period...it has gotten to a point where in some months I am completely knocked out for 7 to 10 days, depressed, anxious. I haven't taken the pill for 4 years now and do not want to take it again. So, I am also trying to figure out ways of getting better. Even in months where I have eaten healthy and done a lot of sports, I found myself not being able to get out of bed.
The first song you sang from ghost (I think) makes me cry, it reminds my mum and I of my grandad who passed when I was younger. Please do a complete version I love your voice x
Honestly same regarding the periods, since I’ve been on a mode stabiliser it’s gotten a lot better! Hopefully you find something that works for you ❤️❤️
Girl I completely relate!! I have Endometriosis. Its absolute hell. What we ended up doing is I take my birth control, but not the placebos. So that means I actually don't have a physical period. It's made a world of a difference. It hasn't affected my ability to have babies. I was blessed with a daughter 3 and a half years ago and I hadn't had a period for 4 years! It's really made a difference in my life. Growing up my periods were hellacious. I was in hospital during periods because of excruciating pain to the point of throwing up, major depression and anxiety. Now I'm doing much better. Good luck to you luv. 😘💗
I've worked nights shifts very regularly for the last five years and I tell ya, choosing to stay awake at home or not being able to sleep in bed is very different to forcing yourself to stay at work. Doing day shifts in between the nights means you're also constantly jet-lagged. I love my job but if night shifts didn't existed I'd be so much happier and more awake.
Never got an official diagnosis but I think i have, or had, PMDD. I about 7 years ago I decided to get an IUD. It hurt like a BITCH to get put in but it 100% changed my life. I don’t get my period and I’m not a crazy lady with bipolar mood swings. I’m glad you are monitoring your moods. I only realized the change in mine when I had to get the first IUD taken out (as it had been five years) and got a new one placed. For a month I got my period again and I was a complete emotional mess. I cried on the showroom floor of a car dealership. Not just a few tears i am talking full on hyperventilating. When my period started the next day I finally put two and two together! Please keep us updated. I hope you can find your fix soon.
I have a few pointers that could help you out, because I've been going through a similar thing: 1. Regarding your throat pains - it could be something chronic, because I have the same thing - every time I speak for too long or too loud, I will get throat pains the next day. Even though it will not hurt for too long, the virus is still there it doesn't go away, so it might be worth to check this out 2. Regarding the period pains and mood swings - ask your doctor about plasters Evra - I have been on them for 2 years now and I have never felt better during my periods :) plus it's easier than the pill, because you only switch them out once a week ;) hopefully this helps! :)
That was the song we sang (myself & my mom) when my dad died (almost the 2nd anniversary) this was the FIRST time ive been able to hear it again since - very beautiful Gabriella xx thank you xx
I totally related to you getting anxious about delivering parcels & trying on your entire wardrobe & ending up back were you started probably in all black as you feel a teeny tiny bit confident in all black clothes. Also you're honestly definitely not being overdramatic when you talk about you monthly cycle and then your subsequent period affecting your moods. Ive learned now that the cravings are that bad they're like pregnancy cravings so for those few days you just have to accept it for what it is &eat all that s**t & just try & get through.
I studied psychology and there is lots of evidence that suggests that when medication doesn’t seem to work therapies like CBT can work but they can take longer to see an effect so are optimal used in conjunction with medication
I have PMDD and my symptoms are so similar. Join the support group on facebook so many girls sharing what they are doing and it makes you feel less alone.
It's life and good on you girl for filming whilst feeling crap. Can't wait to see the new eyeshadow in a get ready with me , did any of the clothes you ordered look good , Take care 😉
My advice would be to go to a gyno and discuss whether skipping periods would work for you! I got put onto Microgyn 50ED to ensure there was no breakthrough bleeding! Highly recommend Gabby ❤️
That thing with the lashes that they‘re uneven on one side happened with me as well..I was using a lashserum too and i just kept on using it and it evened out after a week or so:) so don‘t worry i‘m sure it will be perfect again after a while ☺️💘 love u!
I've just recently (the last 3 years) have dealt with panic attacks and anxiety and i too find it really at its peak when im PMSing and i switched pills and this month i havent had my normal hormonal/ emotional break downs.
Yes! Please make it your highest priority to get your mental health sorted out! It is NOT normal to feel like that and it takes a lot from your quality of life (or so it seems). I always feel so bad for you, hun 😘
Been through the exact same thing. Was diagnosed earlier this year (I'm 19), and went on the pill and my mood got SO much worse! It was pretty rough to deal with, especially cause I had just moved away (to go to uni) and my PMS had already been pretty rough. I had surgery a month ago to try and alleviate symptoms and I've had the IUD inserted which has been a blessing. No shitty mood swings thus far and haven't been much pain. Pls get it checked for your sake x
Love watching your vlogs they always make me feel happy! I totally get where your coming from. I’m exactly the same when on my period. My mental health is all over the place as well 🙈🙈 xx
I hope you're feeling better Gabs! Speaking from experience life is better without anti depressants! Yes they help for a month or two but in the long run you feel numb. Hope you get to the bottom of it xx
Watching this video and repeatedly going “omg same!” Since last winter I’ve been having horrible periods of feeling anxious and depressed. I’ve had previous issues with my mental health but this was so much worse. I was experiencing bipolar mood swings; going from feeling really inspired and happy to literally not wanting to leave the house. I then decided to start tracking my moods with Clue and figured out that I was “happy” only whilst I was on my period. Without a question it was like everything clicked cause I noticed that as soon as I came on I was actually a different person. My GP said it’s PMDD. I’m now taking Cerazette, This is literally my second week taking it but so far so good. I instantly noticed a difference and in contrast to how I felt before, it’s almost like I feel euphoric now! I really hope you find something that works for you gorgeous!Xx
Your lashes! 😍 please let us know what you’re using for those beautiful lashes. Also your voice is stunning. I would love a full cover of that song you’re singing!
It doesn't sound dramatic at all, i used to get really low a week before my period, i get angry and snappy, i cry over pretty much everything and i start questioning my life and everything about myself. I went to see a doctor and he mentioned that i should take more iron and B vitamins around the time of my period to help with my mental health and tbh it has actually helped quite a bit, also i noticed the more iron i take, the less pain i suffer with.x.x.
Gabriella I followed you yeeeaars ago (as in, I watched your first video you shared on instagram back in the cath kidston bedsheet days haha), and over the years I've unsubbed & unfollowed you because of all the twitter drama etc. But I've recently found your videos again and honestly you seem like SUCH a different person, you seem so much more confident and open to talking about the difficulties you're going through. I can relate to you a lot with the whole period thing, and actually quite a lot of things you say. It's quite weird tbh i feel like if I knew you in real life we would be good friends haha
would recommend you trying the pill zoely - its meant to be a more gentle pill on mental health side effects but it also completely stopped me suffering from PMDD, i used to be like you and struggle to even leave my bed i would be so anxious the week before my period, but now I literally have no PMS at all its changed my life soooo much! to anyone suffering with really bad PMS, deffo go get help! x
bahahahah i love it how you sang so unbelievable beautifully and soothing and then just suddenly ' ahhhh that was shit' haha reminds me of adele when she sings and then her personality is so different inbetween haha
I have a good three days where I feel awful and have mood swings. Always on the beginning of my cycle. Didn’t realize until I tracked my mood and period. It is important to talk about. Get rid of the stigma!
Maybe it is to do with your pill or maybe it isn’t. But I tried so many pills trying to find the right one. I was on one where I felt exactly how you do. I cried all the time over nothing and to the point where I actually didn’t want to be here anymore. I thought it was me but, it was the pill. I’m so much happier on the pill I’m on now. It just takes time to find the right one.
Not sure if you’ll read this - but I had the exact same problem. It was like two weeks on, two weeks off for me and like you say, it’s just so so hard to do the simplest of tasks. It just feels like you’re on the floor mentally and can’t pick yourself up. I didn’t know much about it, but I looked into the implant, since for a lot of women, it stops your period completely. I’ve not had it long, but everything has stopped and I don’t have to dread those two weeks each month anymore! Everyone is different but it might be something to look into. Hope you’re okay! X
Hi Gabby, have you ever tried starflower supplement? Doctors prescribe the pill but they all contain hormones which effect people terribly. I used to be exactly the same as you, but 5 years ago I started taking starflower capsules or sometimes evening primrose and it really made such a difference! Also twice a week I eat oily fish which is amazing for hormone balance. Hope this helps! xxx
Sometimes taking the pill puts you in a worst mood because of all the hormones, that happened to me, in fact I'm thinking about stopping it! Hope you will get better with you period, love u x
Acinorev it depends though. If your hormones are already out of Wack it can actually help. I get very suicidal around my period but getting my routine with the pill right has really helped.
@@dovestone_ of course, It depends on your personal experience and your body, everyone is different and need different types of help. Hope it will get better and better for you :) xx
@@Absss__ I know that that's not a real period, but you can get hormonal imbalance by taking the pill, that is what I was talking about and that's why some women, like me for example, get some mood swings while they're on pill.

You’re such a strong person gab! We love you 💕
Love watching your vlogs they always make me feel happy!
Watching this video and repeatedly going “omg same!”
Since last winter I’ve been having horrible periods of feeling anxious and depressed.
My period is the worst. I have pmdd which makes me have terrible pms... I feel ya girl ❤️
The singing lesson😍 you're incredible just can't wait till you're in the west end or on Broadway
With the lashes, my guess is that you sleep/lay on the side with the not so great lashes and so pushing them in different directions 💗
Love you Gabs!!!!!
your singing made me cry a little bit haha it's soooo lovely
Leen Martens oh thank you so much!
Loving the vlogs gabbie💗💗
would recommend you trying the pill zoely - its meant to be a more gentle pill on mental health side effects but it also completely stopped me suffering from PMDD, i used to be like you and struggle to even leave my bed i would be so anxious the week before my period, but now I literally have no PMS at all its changed my life soooo much! to anyone suffering with really bad PMS, deffo go get help! x
bahahahah i love it how you sang so unbelievable beautifully and soothing and then just suddenly ' ahhhh that was shit' haha reminds me of adele when she sings and then her personality is so different inbetween haha
hahahahaha! x
Gabi says she looks like trash... I certainly didn’t see that! Girl you are beautiful always! 💖
Your voice is absolutely incredible
Hope this helps! xxx
You look so great with the white jumper and pink lippy xx
Thumbnail had Kardashian vibes gabby! Your gorgeous inside and out. Love these new weekly vlogs
ASMR haha!! Love it!! I'm sorry you're struggling with your mental health sweetie.. I'm loving these vlogs☺️💓
For me, it’s ten days every month because of a week of PMS. It’s awful to spend a third of each month feeling that awful. Sending you love. 🖤
