- Wonders of nature in the middle of the city, part 1.
This ain't no Roger Rabbit.
Filmed by: Krisse Sydän.
EDITED!
After all the comments, I'll comment about the cituation and about the comments of this old video.
The whole point of this video was to show to all that this is what happens in the nature. And even the cities are part of the nature. We all are part of the nature. And this could happen near you, actually these kind of things happen every day on your backyard, near your home, every where. This is what happens in the nature. Nature is cruel.
And I was filming other things from my balcony (yes, I WAS NOT in the backyard myself, I was in the balcony) when I noticed these and zoomed to the magpie and the bunny.
You can't see it but IN the backyard there was a person (that person worked for the cleaning company that was in the same building that I was living in that time) who just smoked a cigarette and saw the whole magpie versus bunny -thing and just didn't do more than just stared the whole situation calmly and continued smoking a cigarette.
When I realised that person isn't going to do anything i stopped filming and rushed from my apartment to the background and yelled to the bird and ran there and such, so the bird flew away. The person who smoked a ciggie there, looked at me like I was a somekind of a mental when I made the bird go away...
I was there cuite a while so if the bird would come away, I could make it go away again. I should have left because I had something else to do, but I didn't have to the heart to left poor bunny with out anyone to help...
When I finally left and came back, there was some blood there and it looked like the magpie killed the bunny when I wasn't helping the bunny. Or the bunny got away but left some blood on the lawn after the that fight. I don't know.
But after this all I wanted to show the world the footage, so everyone could see that THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE NATURE. Sadly it is.
And by the way, as You can notice from the sounds... on the backyard was othe people than just the person smoking a ciggie there. And I (who was in the balcony, not on the backyard) was the only one who did anything. So, please, DON'T moralise me.
EDITED
That is a baby hare (also called a leveret). They're born with fur on, their eyes open, and surprisingly fearless compared to rabbits. Leverets will get hurt and scream, but they will not go down without a fight.
Rabbits get frightened. Hares get angry.

You are right. Hares are more smart more fast more strong more brave more courageous than rabbits
I thought it was weird, I've never seen such a small rabbit fight back, Hares seem kinda badass ngl
"All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed."

Yeah, but this boy is a hare no a rabbit
This one was neither cunning nor full of tricks and was dinner tbf. Oh and it was a hare. So, wrong video squire.
Something is telling me thats from Watership down
This little bunny put up a bigger fight than a big rabbit
That’s because it’s not a rabbit; it’s a hare, and a baby hare at that.
Because this a baby hare not babay rabbit they are better than rabbits

Its a hare
1: Didn't know that bunbun can make such noises
2: Didn't know smol bunbun actually fights back...
Lol same here
We mammals should stick together and fight the dinosaurs, then eat them.
I cant agree with you more! Bunnies are so fragile and vulnerable, their life depends on being fast, who the hell would like to hurt a little animal that can only kill grass and flowers? A nasty lil raptor that is.
@@nidiaborge looks like juvenile magpie trying to show off and bring home a feast; but birds do gotta eat too. Humans kill more mammals than anyone.

If the other animals didnt eat them they would soon overun the earth, eat all the plants and starve themselves and every other animal to death.
God forgets to give bunny and hare any weapon to protect themselves
hares can box
Sorry about that.
Nah , the rabbit needs to learn a very import lesson here , he's food to every other animals .
Uh, they have claws and teeth and powerful back legs lol. You never seen hares fighting???
No God didn't. Rabbits and Hares were created as PREY animals to all predator animals. That's their purpose.

Bird was vibin but the bunny broke is vibe so he had to go
Our heart was still broken by the same incident yesterday.
There was a baby bunny, the tiniest I’ve ever seen, picked by a magpie the same way.
My husband stepped in and chased the bird away.
Baby Bunny's eye and nose were bleeding when we picked-looking very scared and helpless 🥺. Very painful to see.
He's with us the whole day. We took care and put grasses where he could feel and smell.
At around 05:30, we put him out because we thought the mother was outside.
It was raining, so we put the whole box outside with one side cut open to save him from getting wet. He stayed inside the box for an hour, and when he finally came out, we were so happy to know that the poor thing seemed to recover very well. He was jumping and running under the car where we put him and eating the grass.
I was at our window looking at him for about 5 mins and just looked away when I heard the bunny’s cry. I looked back outside the window, and I saw a Dog chewing the poor thing. The baby rabbit was still moving, and it was dying. The Dog was leash-holding by the owner on the other end while he was looking at his dog taking another life. It’s so cruel!
That was so heartbreaking 💔💔💔 The saddest thing I’ve ever seen this time around.
I cried a river and was brought to sleep like a nightmare until today. We felt we had lost someone so important.
Lol good riddance, bunnies are completely useless anyhow. Their only purpose is to become prey for other animals and their lives have zero value whatsoever

Be realistic the hare probably just got picked up and eat without putting up any fight
Magpies are omnivores. They literally eat anything. If I was that guy with the video camera I would of stepped in and scared the magpie away. They are not going to eat a rabbit on my watch. Magpies are like vultures.

don't interfer with nature man, gotta let it take its course. otherwise you will be responsible for the suffering of one of the animals inadvertently
I don't know why the person that shot the video had to edit the description. Animals have to eat and it can be brutal to watch. To bad all the animals that eat meat can't get it on Styrofoam wrapped in plastic like we do.🤣

Rabbits won't become extinct unless there's some global event. Quite the opposite, seriously. What they lack in defenses they more than make up for in reproduction. That's what they're known for and nature made them that way for this very reason.

This is nature and that's just the way it is I'm afraid.
I would imagine a lot of people who criticise about this video, soon get a steak or a bit of chicken down them. Without even once giving it any thought, of what the animal has gone through, so they can have it on their plate.

Why do the bunnies always pay the price??!!?!?!!😭😭
There are heaps.
Out in the open like that there isn't much they can do except run. Most predators are faster and they have no other defenses. They reproduce quickly so what they lack in protection they more than make up for it in numbers...

Why didn't the bunny run away when it had the chance ..
You talked about the details in the video description section and defended yourself, but that's not true. You continued recording video for more than 1 minute. But life is measured in seconds. You could have saved that vulnerable baby if you had run there at first.
People repeat what they learn from documentaries like a robot. ''Law of nature, Law of nature''
If you do not have enough conscience to save such a painfully screaming little creature, you cannot try to defend nature and its laws!
That magpie can find many alternative food in the environment within minutes. Rescuing the little baby there will not cause the magpie to die.
Humanity is a ruthless species that always enjoys violence. You always make a variety of excuses to defend this, and you always think you are superior and right.
You just said that on point. I’m with you!
Because right now our heart was still broken by the same incident.
The difference is my husband managed to saved the baby bunny from this bird. We took care the baby for a while because he was so scared, helpless and bloody.
Less than 10 mins after we let the poor thing go to join the other rabbit/maybe that was his mother, a dog owner passed by with his leashed Dog and see his dog chewing the helpless animal. I shouted at him. He have no idea how angry and frustrated I feel.
I cried a river.

We felt we lost something so important.
