Nobody else compares to her, best artist of her generation that's for sure. The critics love her rightfully so, but the public hasn't given her the attention she deserves. Too bad for them, she's amazing. I loved her look here, and the whole TBYML era. This period and Stories are the best to me. Of course I love all her music( except for Uh Huh Her, which has never caught my attention, but many great artists have released maybe 3 great albums and the rest is crud). TBYML is the top for me, the best album of the 90's. Second is Stories, then Is This Desire, Rid Of Me, Let England Shake, Dry, White Chalk. Her B-sides are extraordinary too, some of her best- Long Time Coming, Goodnight, One Time Too Many, The Faster I Breathe.
