A few questions about lens choices in those positions. For me:
    Position 1, 70-200mm or a prime like 50mm or 85mm.
Position 2, 24-70mm or something really wide like a 16-35mm or a 10-22mm on crop sensor.

Great tips Rob as always! I swear its my luck that no matter where on the baseline I sit, there's always a ref to get in the way haha.

Another great video, Rob! I can see how some of these tips can apply to netball, too. Hope to shoot basketball one day. Iain

Like the corner also for basketball. For prep sports go to the far side away from concessions wont have people walking infront of you. Have you ever shot volley ball in a gym have a favorite spot? Its a real challenging sport you dont know were the ball is going.

Yeah volleyball is tough. I've only done it a couple of times. I found a couple of good spots, one in by the net and also up at a higher level looking across the net

Great advice! Shooting my first big time Basketball game this weekend. I'll be using a 70-200 and a 24-70 2.8/ I also have a 1dx mkii and a 90d. I am a little concerned using the 90d but we'll see. I assume shoot at 2.8 but Any advice on shutter speed and iso?

Hello thanks for the tip I have an A6000 with the 17-70 2.8 Tamron this is really fast for bsketball I shoot at Highschool here in Texas I allways use center but when I am under the goal using 17 mm what focus point should I use knowing the person is going to dunk do i just use live view and hope for the best and aim that direction becuase if I use the viewfinder I might get trampled over.
