    As you get older. I am 59, I can’t help but admire the intoxicating pure potential of youth. I was devastated when I heard Louis was leaving our National side. However I am following his progress avidly. Honestly I can’t imagine how he will stack against his team mates who have grown up with American Football to the point that it is as natural as walking. Whereas Louis has kind of arrived on a different planet and needs to not only learn but make the skills instinctive and intuitive. Very interesting scenario. Chiefs have a lot of fans from Wales now.

    As long as he’s not a total disaster on the field, this guy is worth the special teams/rb slot just for his media pull.

    NFL fans who have no exposure to Rugby have no clue how amazing most of these Rugby players are. Very humble and respectable . It’s ingrained in the ethos of the game. I left NFL fandom 9 years ago and Rugby has been a life saver. The level of respect for refs and opponents is amazing. We have that in the USA with Major League Rugby.

    Don't doubt his toughness.. You don't look the way Louis Rees Zammit does in a place like South Wales without being as hard as nails. It's a working class place and rugby is religion.
    They'll have been trying to knock his block off since the age of 12.
    Dont underestimate him.

      RB4, if he isn’t excellent on special teams, he might be on the 53.
      It’s hard when Prince and Perine know football and know the playbook. Special teams is how he’ll get on the field week one.

    this was the perfect time for LRZ personally to make the move as the Welsh rugby team and rugby in general in Wales is in massive decline and he would have wasted the best years of his life playing for a losing team. Good luck to him, its going to be tough but he has the right attitude and physical attributes to make a success of this.

    What a great problem for the chiefs to have. Prince and Perine are pretty good too. Likely only 1 or 2 of them will make the 53.
    He needs to make the roster. Otherwise Big Red and the boys taught him a whole bunch of football so he can go play for another team. I don’t think 31 teams are going to let the Chiefs hide him on the practice squad.

    If he can dial in footwork on RB and gain confidence and instinct in plays, he will be ok. I think he will be put on practice squad because of the free spot until he develops. He obviously is willing to put in the work but needs development. I think we will see him elevated once maybe twice this year. Next year he might make the 53.

  • @royw-g3120

    Seen a few comments where people suggest he could develop into a Deebo Samuel type utility player. That seems a good shout. Just a bit lanky for RB , unless he gains 20 lbs and not lose speed. Not been an upright running style 6'3" RB since Eric Dickerson. Derrick Henry is about 50 lbs heavier and is that big naturally, was 240 lbs in high school.

      Dude. Mind you he’s a winger, yet in Rugby he’s running into other players over and over without stopping. On top of that, he’s used to tackling as well. He definitely won’t get winded.

    • @cjboyer4355
      @cjboyer4355 Месяц назад +4

      @@usarugbyleagueunionfanI think he’s referring to the impact of the hits not getting winded. Yes, Rugby is a very tough physical contact sport but hits in the NFL are like car collisions due to the padding players don’t let up on hits. This has been proven NFL hits are harder and no that’s not me calling rugby soft it just a fact.

    • @usarugbyleagueunionfan
      @usarugbyleagueunionfan Месяц назад +2

      @@cjboyer4355 I agree with you 100%. The combination of helmets and pads and bad tackling techniques will be a factor. The NFL hits are harder yet much less in volume with all the stoppage.

    • @exthereon6916
      @exthereon6916 Месяц назад +1

      He will be fine. He is basically the same height, weight and speed as Brian Thomas Junior. He is used to taking hits. And the padding and helmets work both ways.
