All excellent points you made. I have an ARB (aka Engel) fridge that I purchased in 1996 and it still runs great! Yes, it isn't dual zone but it will cool or freeze or give you something in between. I've had it through multiple Jeeps and two Subarus and the fit has, thankfully, always been great. Every time I think about getting a new fridge (something that is truly dual zone), I fall back on...but mine still works just fine. And yes, you read that correctly - 1996!
I have a Whynter--it's been running strong for almost 10 years. It's been on the road for months at a time, and I use it as a chest freezer in my house when it's not in the truck. I highly recommend it.
Got the alpicool 23 for ease of opening inside and its excellent price. Bought 2 and returned it for same one for better sale haha saved like 50. The no ice is a game changer so nice. Part i didn't expect is fridge will last 24+ hr on dc power w no dead battery risk.
I eco JP40 has been me go to fridge for 2yrs now. Single zone but great size for 4 day trip with very low battery usage. $370 w cover on Amazon. So glad I switched from a cooler. Great advice in the video.
I struggle with making decisions bc I don't want to buy twice. So last year, I took the fridge plunge and got the Iceco APL35. It checked a bunch of boxes for me. So far, so good, and I'm happy with my purchase. It is a luxury for sure, but now picking the right slide is the next decision to make.
The APL35 looks like such a good little fridge. If I were solo (or we didn't do as much cooking at camp as we do) I would probably have gone with that one
I have an iceco jp30 in my Subaru Outback. It fits perfectly with my storage system which I built off plans from solid wood worx. I also have the iceco slid out mount. Powered with Jackery 500.
I sold my 100. Bought a 250. Love the 250 only thing i.miss is the tailgate so I'm going to build a sliding tailgate that supports my weight wish me luck lol
Can you breakdown the temp loss when opening the fridge during lunch, dinner or breakfast, how many amps are used and the ratio of battery usage during openings. Also what the inside temp is if left open for 5, 10, 15 or 20 seconds? What are the loss ratios 😅😊😢😂 Loved the video man!
Good point’s especially with size. I’ve been using my ARB for 7years. Sold it last month since we’re not using it as much here in HI. We are big ice cube fans so we’re considering the glacier eco flow for our next fridge. What do you think of that fridge? I’ll look into iceco as well, price looks promising
The mistake I made was the fridge slide cut out,my fridge is real narrow setpower aj 50 and the back feet want to fall into the cut out i have to push it to the back of the slide to make it fit i guess the cut out is for airflow and moisture there's still 75 percent of the fridge is over the cut out their is no feet in the front it just sits flat on the slide i have a over slide with sink and stove area
I'm sure I missed some mistakes -- so if you've got any to add, put them here & help someone else out!

Hahaha. It took me reading halfway through your comment before I looked at the username and I was like "Ohhhhhhh, I see whats happening" 🤣
This is all basic information that we all know. I ended up buying a fridge too small, hahhahaha. Im sharing this video to help everyone else, thanks.
