It's not really the same thing but my dad had a 1995 Ford bronco 4 door with a 7.3l powerstroke Conversion, It was a nice truck and there pretty rare but my dad sold it. You have a nice truck man I'm definitely jealous 🤘😂
So did you go with that generation suburban just to get the LBZ? Im looking at having one built for me and was thinking of buying the next generation suburban 2500 and towing with the 6.0 initially and then bringing it to get the swap done. The next gen seems to have more creature comforts? Better to have the LBZ than the LMM? Nice rig
I have an lbz swaped 2500 suburban and am only able to get 11.5 mpg. How do they get it to do 18.8? Wish I could get that much. I only get 450 to 38 gallons of fuel.
Make sure your mass air flow sensor is clean along with the fuel injection system. Try to get your injector balance read and make sure none of the injectors are +or- 4.0. If they are you'll need to replace them. 11.8 is horrible for a duramax and should be 15 or better easily. Good luck
something is wrong there, my lbz swapped avalanche 2500 gets 20 highway and 13.5 aggressive city with stock tune. stock you should be getting more what im getting and much better tuned
Very nice truck! I wonder if they do this for the short wheel base Yukon/Tahoes??? I have a mint 2006 SLT Yukon 4x4. I've owned it since I bought it slightly used in 2008. It has 4.10 gears and a 5.3 that has been dyno tuned. In CA at sea level it is respectably quick. When I drove through 1-70 and the Eisenhower tunnel, I felt like I was driving a 3 cyl Yugo lol.
Hey man. I’m looking to get my hands on one of these. Where should I start to look? I am in no way shape or form can do this myself but I absolutely have to have one before my life is over.
@@moejr14 they would. I don’t know what his current pricing is at. You’d have to give Nick a text or call at (770) 378-1828. That or Eric at Duraburb at (407)257-9657. I know a guy with one for sale in Texas as well but it’s a LLY motor.
He's being 'modest' with the tuned #s. If you're only getting 400hp and 750 lb.Ft. From a 'tune', especially from an LBZ, something is terribly wrong! I had a 2002 Crew Cab 2500 LB7 (less power) with an EFI tune and a few bolt-on performance parts that made around 500hp and over 950lb.ft of twist. It was enough to beat a Lamborghini Gallardo and my modded Corvette off the line, drift at 70mph, and even make the mighty Allison go into Limp-mode at times. Only 40 extra horses, right! 😂

A Duramax Suburban has to be one of the best all around vehicles you could own.
I am the type of person that goes crazy over a Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Suburban/Yukon XL with a Duramax
I’m thinking about doing a swap with my 2011 GMC
Sweet rig Tyler. Been following Duramax Specialties for a while now and would love to have one some day. Such a classic clean look.

they won’t do the short wheelbase. I think duraburb will.
nice rig.....
How are these insured ? How are they valued by the insurance company incase of a total loss?
agreed value policy’s.

watch marketplace and Craigslist. otherwise Duramax specialties or duraburb can build one.

So what was the overall price? Do you have 3.73 gears or 4.10?
3.73s. rear end out of the truck donor.
how much weigth you can tow? and how much horsepower and torque does the suburban have?
12-14k
In stock form 360hp - 650 torque
With the tune 400hp - 750 torque ish

I do still have it.
I didn’t know they used LBZ engines for 05
The motor is out of a 2006 GMC Sierra with the LBZ and put into the 05 Suburban. The 03-06 Suburbans speak same technology.
