Extremely broken honestly, now smaller tiers will stand even less of a chance even against juvies. The hordes of Omnis will be insane.
pretty much. my juvie teno and diablo got spawn killed by a group of omni’s for 2 hrs straight. the omni’s weren’t even that big and i couldn’t do anything because bucking drains all the victims STAM. while the attacker barely loses stam
figured so... needing a heavy nerf!
Maybe bucking with high stam could drain a lot omni stam and on Dinos bigger than a ton even throw them off Like as they fall off without stam and drop to the ground. In that way this may get balanced without changeing much on the omni side. But solo raptors should Not be able to Instant Pin Something 150-200% of their weight 😂
I was on horde testing earlier today and ran into a group of at least 18-20 raptors lol it was crazy

I have been soooo excited for the grapple mechanic on omnis. It makes packs of them so much scarier and gives an extra incentive to keep an eye on ur stam! Also I just love omnis and raptors in general.
I just hope it gets balanced well, cuz as much as I do love it, having no way to do anything against an attacker sucks and is just never good for games.
and I didn't realise the buck drains ur stam so much when u use it. I always wondered why ppl didn't use the buck, now I do :'/
It's a neat mechanic....it's OP as heck though 😭4+ raptors can pin a fully grown deino by holding rmb
grapple is wayyyy overpowered. my sub adult carno got grappled at full stam by 1 fg raptor and there was literally nothing I could do to get out of it

Omniraptor = right click to win now. No skill involved. It is also a huge slap in the face for people who play solo.
Only the aquatic and arboreal dinos will be safe now.

Of course their going to flesh it out more before releasing to the main game
The horse test is where they test out different mechanics,values, and even stats to see if they like them or not
Like for example the change with deinos lunge
The community loved that change when it was released in horse test a month back which is why they kept it
@@kmp3-gaming986 my point still stands. It doesn't need testing to realize a single raptor being able to pin a full grown dilo whilst the other spams normal atk isn't broken. At this point the community quite literally knows the game better than the devs
I like the grapple idea, but I do think it will be balanced in the near future. I think a good balance for it is that grappling anything the same weight or lower will cost twice the amount of stam than a regular pounce, and the cost will scale up the heavier the opponent is.
Think about it, you're not just hanging on to someone but actively restricting their movements and that should have a heavy cost. I could be wrong, but an adult omni weighs 450kg, so anything double their weight should cost 4x the stam to hang on to, 8x if triple their weight, and 16x for anything over. Having a partner to help grapple on the other side will reduce the cost, but its still taxing.
That said, omni players should be able to choose if they want to grapple or have a regular pounce if the target is below 20% stam. Grappling could be done by holding right click instead of clicking once.

It would make sense if grapple worked with two or more omnis at a time, then it takes team work and coordination too.
Only thing about the grapple that scares me (which is good because it makes sense) is that playing pachy is going to be HORRIFYING if you're alone now, just two omnis will wreck you!
I would say karma for patchys players for being extremely aggressive but this is taking it quite a stretch.

edit: in FACT, if they do balance it right after, the kos pachy will think they should become a kos omni then it gets reworked and when they try it wont be OP anymore

Great QoL additions, the grapple is a fun idea, and I know it's overly strong for testing purposes, so I hope it gets nerfed before to goes to Evrima

Omnis are now the Velociraptors from Beast of Bermuda, now they are gods XD
so therotically can a omni pin a fg stego if its stam is below 20% I do not understand the weight value either.
I highly doubt an Omni can pin a Stego. More than likely, it'll take another animal of similar size or larger to do so.
And yes, that might mean, we have to wait for something of that nature to be added.
you need some omnis to do it, not only one! gonna further test it, but the essence of the grapple is the numbers of omniraptors attacking

Guys, how does the screen system work in evrima, am I talking about blood on the edges of the screen or is there some other way to figure out how much hp you have?
you can either check the blood in your screen or press TAB and see at the bottom your heart rate. If it's red you're almost dying

i had my fg carno killed by omnis but i had easily above 80% stam was that a bug??
no, i just said 20% because i was ONE raptor, if you have more raptors... pretty sure that threshold increases and you get pinned easier
@@KougaArt it's pretty inconsistent cuz i had a cera that was 300 kgs with full stam, hp and blood get pinned by a fresh sub adult omni which could not have been more than 200 kgs at best
Since update I cant play just puts me in a queue and never actually connects to the game
same... but eventually it connects me, even if it's after 10 tries
I got in once and had to leave and cant get in again was 40 ppl in queue so must an issue somewhere.
what I pray for is the server desyncing to be fixed
i was hoping the pining mechanic would only apply if there were more than one pounced on a dino, but even solos can do it and its extremely op and broken. a shame.
Not really had 4 diblles vs 10 omnis we milled 6 and 1 dibble was barely bleeding at half I was yellow hp the others also but no of us had below 40 Stam
They should give tue omni its delay for a pounce back. Why give it a buff if its already in a good spot
They should focus on the game performance a bit more than something like the grapple i guess... Make it possible to play with atleast 300 people on one server without your pc almost exploding
Do you know why the trashing dont work?Because when I do it nothing happens.I shake my mouse,hold LMB but nothing.Its in the current version and the hordetesting
new way to open corpses: tap 3x and repeat until you open the body completely
@@KougaArt I know but i mean take the body and shake.Then the organs fall out.Thats what i mean
@@benwol4346 it doesn't work for all people sadly, but you're doing it right, holding the body in your mouth (not dragging) then LMB and shake

@@benwol4346 some servers are very bugged in the hordetesting, I think they are messing a lot with it, that's why the ping tends to be bad
The problem with grapple is that things like Teno and Pachy just dont have the stamina to actually fight back effectively against omnis, now omni vs teno will become stupidly easy for omni
they really couldn't think of any way to make fighting larger animals more viable without flat out taking away all of their agency against omni's xd
the stamina part of the grapple is probably accurate but too op. Smaller omnis will become much more dangerous than they should be
Instead of fixing fatal error and food bug, they decide to buff omnis😒

Grapple needs a nerf. Seeing something that large fall under such a tiny raptor because its stam was under 20% looks silly. If I jump on an exhausted elephant it isn't going to flop over.

grapple mechanic is something that wasnt even needed in the game i hate this mechanic becouse omnis got another big buff and they re now to op actually
To me, raptor being able to pin prey larger than themselves is just OP and absurd. Pounce, yes. But pin? It doesn’t have the strength to easily pin a Dilo, Tenonto, or even a Dibble

The changes are amazing, but they really fucked up the game for me not so nicely said, because the frequency of fatal errors right now is just too high to enjoy the game. You get disconnected from the queue after an hour long wait (already a terrible experience), you spawn in and your game sound instantly corrupts and at that point you know you have 10 minutes till a fatal error. I don’t know how they manage to solve issues and create worse ones all the time. It’s a joke. I love this game, but I just lost my adult stego for a stupid crash in the middle of a fight and that’s not so fun.
Im an omni main and not gonna lie the grapple mechanics is too much for right now, i mean i love they added this mechanics, i really do, but for right now it is too OP in my humble opinion. They should nerf it a bit.
Well needed raptor buff, perhaps a bit strong now, but itll be nerfed before launch. Haters will day raptors didn't need a buff-- they are the worst mid-tier carnivore in the game.

omni players are the actual worst rn, they are abusing the power to kill anything and everything no matter what size and doing it insanley fast. the fact that omni can kill dilos in 2 seconds now is actually insane and so unfair and unbalanced it makes me sick.

I have never liked pinning stuff with omni so this is really really bad. No fun and no skill. Boring! Even b4 this came out, you shouldn't be able to pin a gali either. Just think how much fun you would have with it running that fast with you on its back. The fun police are out in force now obviously 😒

Impale is not an ability, it’s like with stego when it kills smaller dinosaurs and they get stuck on the stego’s tail, it’s just that
