- A classic grass court point between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in Top Spin 4, which is still by far the most realistic Tennis simulation video game. The wait for Top Spin 2K25 to release and surpass this game continues. Hopefully more info on TopSpin 2K25 in the coming weeks including a release date!

Aren’t they made by the same people, but now with 2K’s help? (Serious question, 2K25 was going to be my first tennis game purchase since Mario tennis lol)
2K Games is the publisher. Hangar 13 is the developer (a studio of 2K). Hangar 13 was merged with 2K Czech (who were the developers of Top Spin 4).
Also, visually the game looks far better than Top Spin 4. The gameplay is currently only uploaded by people who haven't had much experience with tennis games or tennis in general, plus the AI difficulty is set to the easier ones. So you can't really tell how deep the game is in terms of animations during longer competitive points. I will for sure be playing only on the hardest difficulty levels. The current gameplay is also apparently from older builds of the game, so the day 1 release should play better.
After 5+ hours on 2k25...I personally prefer 2k 25, it's 4 but more polished 😩

Why are the graphics better in this than 2K25?
I agree the graphics in 2K25 are not a huge leap over Top Spin 4, but they definitely are better in 2K25. The lighting, player faces and arenas are better looking in the new one. Also I'm playing this on 4K resolution on the RPCS3 emulator, so it looks much better than it does on a PS3. Surely 2K25 with maxed out graphics on PC will look good.

Maybe just barely on the lowest graphics settings. Although if it requires DirectX 12 as a minimum, then no.

Going by the latest gameplay they showed for 2K25, it definitely looks better than Top Spin 4. Also the licensing costs are big in Tennis. All 4 majors and all Masters 1000 tournaments. They will be adding more players later on too.
Haha. I have seen way too many people bashing the gameplay too while all they have seen is some incompetent players playing the game on an easier difficulty level that doesn't really show how an actual good point looks like. The majority of the people who played the game early don't know much about tennis or tennis video games, all I see is people hitting poorly timed shots from no man's land 😂. It is also running an earlier build, which won't reflect the version we will get on day 1. For me, I will only be playing and publishing videos playing on the highest difficulty when the game launches.
This game is very impressive looking - especially for its era. I'm looking for a tennis game and was hoping to play the most recent release, but 2k25 looks like ass compared to this. Sad
Topspin 2K25 has flaws but overall I have enjoyed playing it. The gameplay is good, they need to balance the power meta though. The arenas are really well done in 2K25. I really don't see myself going back to Top Spin 4 after having played 2K25 for a good 150+ hours.

Yes. It runs very well and is stable.

It’s the same lol🤦🏻♂️ same animations except a few like Nadal’s and Roddick’s serve which are missing (for now) plus newer ones like Federer/Williams/Tiafoe/Swiatek plus new MyPlayer ones and more players (will come free with DLCs) plus a better gameplay, no more 40 shot rallies, more unforced errors etc.
It’s a clear money grab. The fact that top spin 5 career mode has to be played online is a deal breaker and the gameplay looks so boring. I’m not paying 100 bucks for this game

If you are talking about the serve animation, it's good for a game from 2011. As for my serve, just a slice serve towards the body. It was a second serve. Hopefully the new Top Spin game will get the player specific serves spot on.

Yeah he does it with a platform stance. Here he starts platform and then moves to pin point.

This is TopSpin 4, only available via RPCS3 (PS3) or Xenia (Xbox 360) emulator on PC. If you are asking about TopSpin 2K25, then yes that is available on PC to purchase from Steam.
