I love Ashleigh Gnat and her vaults are absolutely beautiful but I don’t think any of these vaults should have gotten a perfect score, they all had obvious leg separation and flexed feet

Obviously I couldn't do it, but they all, except 1, had leg separation leaving the table and a couple landing as well. Still awesome but compared to elite scoring...they always find something lol

Alex's was almost perfect but she clearly didn't have control on the landing and made two adjustments

Scoring in NCAA Women's Gymnastics is completely broken. The NCAA kept the old "perfect 10" scoring when the world went to its new scoring system. Since the AVERAGE score for some of the top teams on many events is 9.7 - 9.8 it is impossible to get more than a tenth or two for doing world class difficulties. Often the judges have to be "creative" and ignore obvious flaws to reward top performers. This isn't fair. NOTE that the NCAA Men's Gymnastics went to the new scoring system and it has gone smoothly.

I agree that it doesn't make sense. It seems that they keep the 10 scoring system for the sake of marketing ("Watch Ohashi's PERFECT TEN Floor Routine!") and in order to give a greater feeling of excitement for the crowd and the gymnasts.

A lot of the NCAA gymnasts come from Level 10, not elite which also has the 10.0 scoring system. Men’s is different because many of them continue elite after graduation but the women don’t.

I would be so pissed if I did a double twisting yurchenko and someone with a single twist yurchenko got the same score as me..: womens collegiate gymnastics is totally flawed. Also, I saw deductions on every single one of these vaults
