You are 100% responsible for the image you curate on social media. If you post images objectifying yourself, expect that others will also see you as a sexual object. A lot of athletes that are just as pretty and talented don't have these sorts of issues because they don't post content of this nature. She needs to decide whether she's ok with it, and if she's isn't....change her online image to focus on something other than her looks and body.

some people just post themselves for the sake of posting themselves. but that doesnt mean that they want to be harrassed. yes, the image she posts is her fault. but its not her fault that her "fans" come to the meet and harrass other athletes, thats completly beyond her power.
There are other athletes that post their body online, but some get harrassed cause they dont fit the feminine petite body type, cause they have more muscles and buffer arms.

This is a tough one that kind of goes both ways in my view. It's true that women shouldn't be made responsible for how others act. Just because they dress a certain way doesn't mean they should be subjected to creeps, stalkers etc online. That being said, she posts provocative pics in various skimpy outfits with the knowledge that these sorts of people exist and are watching. That sort of content will draw, not just wanted attention, but unwanted as well. In a perfect world, that wouldn't matter. The problem is we don't live in that world, we live in this one. There are a lot of sick people out there.
My point is she's not new to this. She knows the kinds of pics she posts will get attention, both good and bad, and she still does it. She wants more followers and those pics are a way to get them. Those same pics bring out the creeps etc. In the end, if it was too much, she would stop posting them and eventually, I imagine it would die off. But she continues to do it. I'm not saying she shouldn't, I'm simply saying she feels the pros outweigh the cons. But if you complain about it while you are doing things you know simultaneously attract it, then I have very little sympathy for you. This is just my opinion.

Her choice in terms of what she does but take responsibility of what comes along with it and the things she has control over.

It's not your responsibility in how a man acts but it is your responsibility to use good judgement in what you put out there.

If the lady with the glasses and black hair all of a sudden transformed into that gymnastic girl, and someone offered her seven figures and all she had to do was make silly videos on the internet, I bet she'd take it. :D

She's obviously talented, an effective communicator, confident, and gorgeous! Those are the things you need to make 7 figures! You can factor in race as well, but that's optional.

Can you imagine how much more stuck on yourself you have to be to brand yourself on social media? It's a whole new level of narcissistic. It's really sick. Especially because, for the kids, they know nothing else.

Looks like a young Denise Richards. She's unlocked the social media shortcut to fame and fortune, so good on her her for doing her thing and raking it in. Hope she keeps her head straight and continues to build on her success.

What backwards way to look at it for her. If you put yourself out there on social media you have to take the good with the bad. They are all consequences of her decisions. If you can't handle all the hate and unwanted attention, don't post half naked selfies and tik toks.

    • @elusory3735

Why do you also have to take the bad? She obviously knows it’s common for famous attractive people to be harassed, but that doesn’t mean she has to be. I think it is exactly how she says. She posts her stuff and is not responsible for the way people respond to it. The people who can’t behave are the problem here, even if she could have foreseen it.
And to be honest, for me this has nothing to do with her. She is just another person who found succes by using what she has. I just hate it when people (especially my fellow men) try to justify harassment.

"Did you know those young men would be there? Some of them TEENAGERS!"
Teenage guys attracted to a 20 year old gymnast, it's truly shocking.
