- I went for the first time to Highgrove House, near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, England, to experience the famous Christmas Lunch in the Orchard Tea Room a year ago. It was a wonderful afternoon and I fell in love with the King's home that day. Since then I've been back several times, and was looking forward to Xmas lunch 2023! Did it match my expectations? Watch the video and see for yourself! We were sitting just in front of King Charles' favourite chair in the Orchard Room, and he was there 48 hours before us, to celebrate his 75th birthday.

Truly captivating from beginning to end! Highgrove House & Estate, along wit the cozy Restaurant is very beautiful. It was wonderful to share this delightful place with you again this year at Christmas. The Christmas decor in the Restaurant is enchanting & your dinners looked delicious! The whole ambience there is charming & very special! Including the King's wonderful paintings of such lovely landscapes & especially, those of the Royal family. Along with the warm & cozy fireplace, magical Christmas trees & decorations. I also really loved the Photo of the King holding his one grand baby. HM looks so thrilled to be holding the wee child in his arms. It is so sweet! This Photo alone shows what a tender & loving heart the King has. Delightful! The Christmas music you chose here is also very beautiful & touching. Even the drive home was magical, with the warm glow of the evening lights & the soft snow falling. It caught my eye because of its festive charm, perfect for the holiday season. I'm glad you found it fitting too! Next time maybe I should try to buy my outfits from more accessible sources? This might make it easier for my lovely viewers to buy these should they be inspired by them? 😉 Just in case you liked my husband's outfit too, the trousers and top are from H&M from this season. Going through strenuous chemotherapy, so had this on my list to catch up on your adventures and here I am doing just that! You are a handsome couple in your winter whites and so gracious to take us along with you. The decorations are beautiful, yet not overwhelming. The fire in the fireplace has been beautifully laid. I so well recall your Christmas lunch there last year. Thanks for letting us see the menu. The half-Scot seems so happily companionable on these trips. Was butternut squash soup to be part of the appetizer? The cranberry sauce looked spectacular. You entree was beautiful and it all looked so hot and fresh. Good of the staffers to help film. Do they allow doggy bags to take leftovers home, so food isn't wasted and it can be enjoyed as another small meal or late night snack? Leave home early with little breakfast and be ready when you arrive for such a feast. They do delightful plating, presentations and with goodly amounts to enjoy, but neither ridiculously sparse nor ostentatious servings. The portraits of family make it all cozier. Are the Christmas trees from local growers or does he choose artificial for the fire safety?

The fire was indeed meticulously prepared for that cosy ambiance we adore. And yes, the half-Scot is a fantastic companion on our journeys! I'm so lucky :o) BTW, thank you for your lovely compliment on our winter white attires on the day :o) Regarding the menu, the butternut squash soup was indeed one of the choices as part of the appetizers, and the cranberry sauce was a hit! As for leftovers, they graciously allow doggy bags to ensure nothing goes to waste, perfect for another meal or a late-night snack. @@rosalbasden5573 I will not miss your offerings, but had to put the gift shop on hold for two weeks because I was having a tough time with the chemo. It is hoped I will recover, but the cure is rough. I will not fail to watch you videos. I adore this sort of thing and you and your husband are a lovely pair to spend a bit of time with exploring the interesting nations there from which my ancestors came here looking for work, oh so long ago.

It is amazing what people lived through. I do hope my comments on the detail of the wonderful places you take us will attract some other people to such presentations. By the way, if you get the urge for more product on here, take us around your village to show us how folks there decorate their shops or outdoor spaces for the holidays.
