Marco, I wanted to let you know that these videos and others on your channel have been a tremendous help in helping me to develop my eye. I look forward to the cover round-ups every month. Can't wait to watch whatever you put out next.
@@THEMODELGENE I'm with you on the Bob Wolfenson Harper's cover, and Jack Davidson's M cover and pages. I love b&w so loved the VF covers, but agree with your criticisms. VF is my fave for portrait photography. The algorithm hadn't shown me any of your videos in a long while, to the point I'd forgotten I'd subscribed. Even now, when I hit the "Videos" button on your page, all I get is five of your videos and then suggestions for other creators' work.
I recorded my September cover's video that month but a fried CPU kept causing FCPX to crash and i couldn't export anything. I just got a new macbook and am ready to churn out new videos, I promise you have a lot of content to look forward to in the future. I also connect really strongly with B&W imagery because I developed my eye through graphite drawings of fashion photography portraits back when I was in architecture school. Peter Lindbergh is a favorite of mine from his David Yurman campaigns ,@@MarcoPallotti
@@THEMODELGENE the ones in black&white from VanityFair. The one from Bazar with the twins also… and the one from M Magazzine!!! Woow!! .. i usualy gravitate towards color, this is why the b&n strike me to most. PS: (your iphone coment: spot on!!!)…
Super fun to see Paulina featured twice. Such a badass. I’ve spoken with her a few times, and she’s such a firebrand. No words minced. :) Great insights as always. Love these features.
It is such a stark difference between the solo covers and the group one, I wish they just didn't put that one out. Even the solo covers that weren't my favorite were still pretty great!
The Leo shade 😂. I actually didn’t like Vogue US Oct cover and I was thinking what happened to Annie Leibovitz photography it looks watered down. I can’t wait to hear your opinion on the Nov US cover because oh boy…..
Me?? Shading Leo???? I would never ;) I have to hold Vogue US to a different standard; when I'm not repulsed by it, its a win. As for November, I already recorded that video and Vogue US is the first review. I'll leave some mystery for the video, but I will say that I like Jack Davison but definitely had some notes.
Thanks Jeremy, and I encourage anyone to share their opposing views on the covers. So many of the covers I see I don't include in these videos because they are not making enough of an impression to even mention.
What is your favorite cover from October 2023?
Marco,

Thank you David, I am really happy to hear that. I will be doing a lot more critiques beyond just the covers next year, stay tuned :)
@@THEMODELGENE i’ll keep an eye open!!!

Finally someone called out BB's creepy lifeless eyes lol! Good job Marco!
Thank you for another instalment. Great commentary, assessment and delivery. I always take something away that helps me critique my own work.
That's amazing to hear, thank you! Did any of these covers stick out to you?
Marco... spot-on, and sometimes very funny crit of the covers. Thanks!
Thank you Marco! What were your favorite covers?

@@THEMODELGENE agree with the group cover and Amber's cover is my favorite.
Amber is such a compelling personality, I fall in love every time she speaks. Such an incredible beauty@@user-nw5mi6re9m
“Cristiano Ronaldo’s wife” 😂😂😂 GREAT takes!
Apologies! "Cristiano Ronaldo's current wife.” What was your favorite cover?

Hard to disagree with you on any of these, there is only one great shot. Keep up the good work.
