    If the battery is hang in the back I would think it will balance the weight

    Reminds me of the Bobo v2 I have for my Meta Quest

    The heavier back pad made a world of difference with mine. This headband is worth its weight in gold. They’re also dropping facial pads soon.

    5:33 You get to much light from behind for the eye scanner

    Why don’t you just wear a baseball cap (perhaps with an inexpensive plastic bump guard to better distribute the weight) with the Apple dual loop band?

    Sadly they are sold out

    instead of no light seal we need a narrower light seal for a bigger fov but still get full immersion

    I always use this CMA1 with my Vision Pro. I did not use any light seal. I put an additional strap over my head from left to right in the middle of the two joints.

    How much better than Comfytop?

    • @himelstech
      @himelstech  5 месяцев назад +3

      They each have their pros and cons but if I had to give an overall rating between the 2 I'd say this one is 15% more comfortable.

    So what's your overall take so far on Vision Pro? Now that initial hype is gone not so much ppl talkin about it anymore.....

      My opinion hasn't changed much from my initial review here: ruclips.net/video/c9ndnLutffg/видео.html -- In short, great for productivity/media consumption. Not for gaming, is a bit uncomfortable especially with the stock straps. Not quite worth it for most people, would recommend most hold out for gen 2. I'd also add that I did wear it for 2.5 hours on a flight yesterday using a 3rd party solution (comfy top) and it I was very happy with it.

    LOL, so they basically created a profession version of my BoboVR conversion! I'm glad they supported it from the front.

    I love how they say "1st gen" like they already know they can do better. LOL

    I want to watch an immersive movie but Apple doesn’t let you record the screen. Is there any chance you can play it and then put a phone to record it through the lenses ??

    It looks like a meta quest now

    • @thetargazer
      @thetargazer 5 месяцев назад +1

      More like a PSVR2. It's bulky and takes time to find your fit, but it is pretty comfortable.
      It seems like Apple wanted a sleeker look and an easier fitting process, but ended up compromising on comfort.

    term you are looking for is compression. (F)orce/(A)rea = (P)ressure. Pressure against a unit area is compressive stress, away from a unit area is tensile stress. (Force in this case is weight angled at your forehead, and friction force between your forehead and the headset inner surface.)

    It looks exactly like my GOMRVR for the Quest 2 for 15€ from Aliexpress. I still prefer the single and dual band from apple 🍏

    The problem with rigid straps like this is that, while they offer better weight distribution, they are clunky and are not ideal when lying down or resting your head on a chair/sofa. They are simply not versatile.
    Great video btw.

      Rotating the rear part up and then connecting the Solo band, it becomes lying down friendly.
