Lucky to be a drone flyer in Canada. Sub 250g drones no registration, no test, no height, vlos, airspace(except class F) or flying over people or cars restrictions. Super lucky to have the freedom we do with micro drones. Can literally fly anywhere. Only must to follow is dont be dumb and use good judgement.
I just sold my 1st generation Mavic Pro and just bought this; it arrives tomorrow and I'm excited to try it out based on the simplicity of it, and the fact that it accomplishes about 95% of what I used my Mavic Pro for.
also, why say it doesnt have obstacle avoidance when on page 28 of the manual it states obstacle avoidance. it is disabled only when you use sport mode
Epic scenery will still look epic on a $300 drone versus $3,000. (Pro drones allow more flexibility in the edit). 99% of drone reviews ONLY show epic scenery. The truth is that most people looking to buy a drone will get real bored looking at the top of their house and the rest of their neighborhood REAL quick...and for most people the drone will then collect dust for 360 days a year. Better to let $300 collect dust than $3,000. The beauty is that when you DO go somewhere epic on rare occasion, a $300 will slay. That's why Mini 4K is an absolute no-brainer.
Great video thanks for the info, I'm considering this or a second hand mavic. I used to have the dji phnatom 3 professional. Any idea if this will be around the same quality?
Sorry, I'm doing my prelim research here. Thanks for the video, I didn't hear mention if this has a "follow me" option? Have a suggestion for a 4K beginner drone with the follow me option? Thank you!
is it better than the Mini 2 SE?? and i saw someone say unless I get thr fly more pack it doesn't come with a battery charger, is that true? I can't afford the fly more pack
Great vlog, if a person had no experience with a drone, but wanted a really good quality first experience ($ not the priority), what would you suggest?😊
I would highly recommend the Mini 4 pro if $ isnt a problem. it has fantastic tracking and obstacle avoidance but still is under 249g so you don't have to worry about registering it
i am interested in that particular drone, i am a photographer and i care only for the DNG photo files, i looked around the internet but i couldn't find some samples DNG images to play with. is there anywhere or somewhere i can download and check myself the image quality of the DNG files?
I'm looking to buy my first drone and have two offers to consider: the DJI Mini 3 for 369 EUR or the new DJI Mini 4K for 299 EUR. What are your thoughts? Is it worth spending an extra 70 EUR for the DJI Mini 3?
What advantage is there to buying a "learner drone" other than the price? If somebody only wants to fly occasionally or has no intention of ever using a drone for business it makes sense to buy this for a hobbyist. I get that. But why would somebody who ultimately wants to use a drone for business need to buy this thing to learn on first. I'm not saying that's not valid, I'm just asking why it's valid. If I intend to use a Mavic 3 Pro for business, why not just buy that one to start with, be super careful with it & learn that to start with?
If someone intends to use a drone for business, then I would recommend getting the air three or Mavic three. This drone is great for beginners and people who just want to film themselves or their family having fun traveling.
@@JakeSloan Thanks. I downloaded it. The problem is non PlayStore apps are blocked and I can't unblock. I'm trying to warn people to prevent them having the same issue. @JakeSloan you're avoiding the point I'm making. You're being provided products by DJI. This is called PR. Don't try to change the topic. Won't work. You are not being subjective. In a way I understand that you want to make money off RUclips and the DJI collab. However, us viewers deserve honesty. Simply stating the reception of the manufacturer's drone is not gonna cut it.
It cracks me up how much ability is in a $300 tiny drone. Nice shots. Nice review.
You and me both! It’s crazy to me this tiny drone has more capabilities than the inspire 1 did lol. Thanks Scott.

Maybe so but your gun laws and anti theft laws suck.

I picked this up just for a simple drone to bring along each day. It’s a dependable straightforward drone that does its job well. I enjoy flying it.
glad to hear it
Mine gets here in 3 days and Im very excited
awesome
Just ordered one on Prime Day here tomorrow.... Already registered it on CAA in the UK

This is the mini 4k. NOT the mini 4

Where Did You Get it
I have links in the description to where it can be purchased in the US
For RUclips - Mini2 is perfect ... For the windy days the M3C comes out and better photos etc
Agreed
How does wind affect the drone?
absolutely these small extremely light weight drones are very affected by the wind
Great video thanks for the info, I'm considering this or a second hand mavic. I used to have the dji phnatom 3 professional. Any idea if this will be around the same quality?
if it's a newer version of mavic (mavic 2 or later) I would go that route instead
does anyone know if this drone works with the RC2 controller?
it will not

it does not, for that I would recommend the mini 4 pro or mini 3

You can recharge the battery through the drone using USB C so you don’t need the charger unless you plan on having extra batteries

This is not the mini 4…

thank. i will buy a dji mini 4k when i have enough money
Good choice!
Jake, you can make any drone look good, it's not the drone, but the operator.
Well that’s true of any tool and user of said tool. But thank you.
there is sphere mode for 360 photos?
yes but it doesnt do a true sphere, only the mini 3 and 4 do that , it takes the photos and then fills in the sky
What softwear do you use to edit your videos?
I use Final Cut Pro
I thought this was about the Inspire 3, you need to work on your titles, what a tease.
Hahahahahahaha
Just do a comparison with the Mini 2!
I would if I still had a mini 2 but it is essentially the same drone
