I discovered Thrashin Supply on RUclips not long after my youngest son was born (the build-up for Sturgis last year), and we watch these vlogs pretty religiously as well. And this is why experience matters. Soooo many people would have started ripping into the top end and going after valve train stuff not realizing how bad a compression release, spark plug, exhaust leak ect can make a bike sound. Don’t over think guys. Start with the easy cheap small stuff first. Imagine going after valves or pistons/piston slap over a loose comp release or spark plug. Glad to see it was an easy fix.

  • @JohnSmith-de2mz

    Very cool, shows class that you guys didn't talk crap about the motor or Harley Davidison like some youtube know nothings do. I had a comp release go bad on my 03 High comp Twin Cam, it was tight in the head but the valve itself was leaking, Easy fix.

    For reference, with the crows foot added to a torque wrench if you can keep the crows foot at a 90 degree from the torque wrench technically the length of the torque wrench is the same so the torque is still pretty accurate. not always possible but usually the best option when using a crows foot. Thanks for all the great content and of course all the great parts i run all you foot boards and controls on my RGST! thanks again!

      @KurtisReed Год назад +1

    It's a rare day, seeing Lance not Thrashin on a bike. Well behaved for the break in process. Honest... dropped my Sport Glide, only time so far... in the Thrashin parking lot. Hogwerks Mustache bars saved everything, even if they do look ugly. Ish indeed does happen. A 131 with 150 HP is a Thirsty engine. Stock 5 gal tank limits range, a 3.5 is even worse, plus what will it do to the fuel gauge indicator for remaining fuel in the tank? Encinal or Decker Cyn, both good break in rides, on and off the throttle.

    In addition to the swing arm, those rear fender supports have some weight to them too and shouldn't be too difficult to get CNC'd from aluminum (or carbon if you wanna get silly). Lots of parts (besides the frame) are chonky for what they are/do and could get redone out of lighter material with no loss in performance.

    Sick vid!🤘🏻street bob tank swap was a rad idea….. I do have a question about the bell helmet. Are you using a panovision shield or standard tinted? If panovision, do they haze out when riding into the sun or do they reduce that kinda polarized sunglass lenses? Love my mod bandit but the tinted shields & drop-down visor haze out awful if even slightly facing the sun.
