I’m watching this lovely home while my toddler is screaming at the screen “KITTY CAT!! DOGGY! DOGGIES!” 🤣 They are an adorable addition to the video. 😊
That is so cute. I kept getting sidetracked by them, too. At first, my initial thought was, "Does the cat come with the house?" After that "and the dog too?". By the time I saw the second dog, I found myself saying it out loud, "I want them all!"
@@omarakram99 too funny, I was saying the same!
@@omarakram99What an animal loving troop we are😆. I was thinking the same thing 😹🐶
That must have been some haul on a boat transport in 1836. That's a BIG home. Beautiful and definitely a brilliant construct.
One of my favorite Natchez homes that I've been in. Love the Aura that I felt inside the Home. Great Naration, Laine. Hey Kevin.
What a beautiful home! I LOVE hearing the stories and imagining all of the lives and happenings of the people who lived here! That is one of the main reasons that I love old homes!
You did say “remuddling” right? Too funny! Appropriate word! Beautiful place now! Love the cat and dogs all throughout this video! They are so relaxed there! They seem to love it!
So many wonderful stories this house has to tell!
Beautiful home. Do the dogs come with it?
Gorgeous! The history just speaks through those walls
Laine you've done a beautiful job on this video. I love the home. Natchez has so much history and it's fascinating!!
Hello L&K! Hope all has been wonderful for you. Garden Song; and boy, does she have a beautiful song to sing! A kit house?! Get out of here! What in tarnations? You're kidding, right? And, it also has the audacity to have been a spec house too? I'm totally flabbergasted! I guess the original stand-alone kitchen was a spec kitchen? Now that's the most gracious, nicest historic kit/spec house I've ever seen! This place is beautiful inside and out and shows magnificently well. Exquisite! Great video and house tour! On that Hollywood note: a lot of movies these days should go back to being silent! 😂
Thank you Lains & Kevin. What a beautiful house.
I’ve loved this house and it’s situation since I first saw it. I lived basically across the street on State. The Barneses were dear friends. They loved their home so much and were always so happy to share it with their friends. Back then they had it painted a wonderful European yellow, kind of goldenrod color, I believe what they had discovered through their restoration to be the original color.
Stop the clock! I clicked pause as soon as I saw this house that's just around the corner from cousin Pearl! LOL I took a tour around your neighborhood one day on Google street view. Now, back to the show.
Great video 🎉
Dr. Barnes had a brown rolls when I was a kid that was a real show stopper! One of the prettiest intersections in the city.
Love it! How fortunate that they were able to put the original architectural components back in place. I enjoyed seeing this very much. Well done, Laine!
Oh my word at 7:46 i got a Front door that's the exact same from an old lady who lived in my street after she passed away the new neighbours gave us it as they where replacing it and it's lovely
Gorgeous!!!! Simply gorgeous!!!!
❤ you always show the best houses. Love it.
Wonderful job .. doing Garden Song such a great justice. I truly didn't want it to end ❣
👀🤯😍 If I ever get my hands on any of these historic homes, I hope to do it justice like you guys. This is truly a dream home. 💖💚💜
Yeah the outdoor space here is really lovely. Even the trees along the street look beautiful.
How can there be so much beauty in one city! 💚💜
Nice that so much of the original house has been maintained or restored.
*Handsome place. (Some of the wall paper choices were/are wonderful - especially on the walls of that lovely rounded or soft-edged stairwell). The tiles on some of those fireplaces - tender dynamite! Hoping its next owners are as tasteful , restrained, sensitive to texture. Lovely.
I keep seeing a ton of corks..that’s a lot of wine. Beautiful home! Love the gardens. All the wallpaper is my fav.
Just beautiful
Laine’s got this New England girl wanting to move south!!!!
Gorgeous house

Beautiful!! Natchez is so incredible and historic! Thank you for sharing! ❤️
I love seeing the staircases and basements!!!!!!!
"If walls could talk" they would sound like Laine ❤ I just love all your posts and appreciate the work you do to save history. Thank you!
If I only had the money... beautiful home
A beautiful home. Thank you for showing it to us.
Lane, you are such a natural!
Hey Lane and Kevin what’s up next for you two? Love following you two and your restorations.
So much is happening. You’ll be the first to know.
Lol!!! I cannot believe that they got all of that on less than a half an acre!!!!! Amazing!!!
Something like this would make me reconsider living "in town" somewhere.
How wise he was to ensure that all those original windows etc were carefully kept.
Curious as to what it did look like done up as a Victorian! lol.
Although, it looks like someone got carried away in the refurb process with the Cerusing wood/paint/stain technique.
Yes! This is my second time watching this video and I came back to look at it again because the first time the wood was so distracting. It’s a gorgeous home and I really hope someone changes that. A few style changes and this home would be even more stunning. At least it’s in such great shape. I love it, it kinda has New Orleans garden district feel (from restorations that I’ve seen on here in that area). Yeah looks like a busy area but has such a relaxing property, I couldn’t agree more. Makes me wanna roll up right to it on the street & invite my city friends in 😁for a respite.
A beautiful home with an interesting history. I enjoyed your tour.
I love these videos!! I appreciate all your time and effort!
I wonder if this house used to painted yellow? If so, the old couple who I assume no longer own it, worked so hard on their garden. I only met the man but he was a nice old man. Loved Natchez.
It was!!
Wow! Beautiful grounds!
Stunning!
This one makes me Swoon!
$780,000? Up North that gets you a new McMansion with plastic siding, vinyl windows (and granite countertops), all ready for the trash heap in 15 years.
I love American history. What a country in so many ways.
I was supposed to be born in this era! ❤
O….M….Word❤❤❤❤
Love the wallpaper when you was talking about curiosity. Where did you get it from?
That’s in Auburn. It’s from the Natchez historic collection. Not sure where you’d find it.
She is beautiful
Wow! *sigh*
Is there a finish on the wood making it so gray?
Yeah. I’d have to watch it again but I think it was a stylistic choice by one contemporary owner, I hate it lol. It’s a gorgeous home though otherwise.
weird question, is flat boat a nice way of saying Raft? Just wondering. Very nice house.
A HUGE raft
❤
Is you cat coming to live with you?😢
Martha was a fool.
Just beautiful
